I enjoyed the meal deal that i got it included a 14 inch pizza and 10 inch garlic bread 2 trays of chips and a 1.5 litre bottle of drink for £14.50 and it was very nice if you are in Runcorn i would highly recommend going.

We had booked a table for 5.45 to allow plenty of time to eat and get to the theatre for a 7.30 performance. Due to traffic we arrived at 6.05. We were greeted by a hard faced unsmiling woman ( I use the word greeted advisedly as her opening words were “name ? You can sit there or there” The restaurant was not busy. We were eventually offered drinks by a very sweet young waitress and also ordered some bread and olives one lasagne and three pizzas. The 6 slices of toasted French stick and 16 olives (£9.95) arrived were eaten and we waited and waited and waited. A party of four arrived and were seated on the next table. Their order was taken, their starters arrived. Still no food for us. At 6.50 we asked for our food quickly. The table next received their mains. At 7.10 we asked for pizzas in boxes , the steaming lasagne arrived I was not going to be able to eat it in time in the 2 minutes available without sustaining second degree burns so, had to refuse it. The pizzas were then brought out on plates not boxed so those too were cancelled. Hard faced women was extremely rude blaming us for arriving after our booked time, no apology zero customer service just a hefty bill for a soft drink, four beers, a glass of wine and some bread & olives! Possibly the worst dining experience I have ever had.

Went to restaurant for the early menu, the owner was extremely rude as we didn't booked, explained we couldn't book. The owner asked us to go to the pub down the road and come back in half an hour. Very poor customer service. We did not go back and will not ever again. Well I have been back, the food is lovely, but the owner????

Loved our first visit to this restaurant; enjoyed the whole experience. Food was great and staff really nice too. Definitely go again. The sea bass I had was so lovely, and the Tiramisu light and so tasty. Great place.

Arrived. Asked to be seated upstairs. I could see it was an issue as the owner muttered under her breath. She then placed me in the back of the empty restaurant as I was an inconvenience. I left saying you can’t greet people like that and she said I can as it is my restaurant and I can do what I like. Never tasted the food never even sat down. Poor atmosphere and I will never recommend

Food was mediocre far too much garlic in the dish so couldn’t really taste anything else. I love garlic but like to taste my meal as well. Manager was very unprofessional and unhelpful. Definitely won’t be returning, this was my first and certainly my last visit

First time visiting here. What a beautiful place nice and quiet relaxing and the staff so attentive chatty and couldn't do enough for us. The food was amazing and so fresh and drinks were served cold and refreshing. Such a lovely place and the prices are amazing. Highly recommended and will go again. By far the best restaurant in Runcorn. Absolutely beautiful food. Can taste the fresh ingredients and authentic Italian flavor. All dishes are reasonably priced for amazing quality. Have seen a few reviews talk about the "rude woman" on reception, she is fabulous and down to earth and goes out of her way to make sure you have a good time. We think she is fab as are the other staff. 10/10 all round.

There is something very comforting in going to restaurant which just keeps doing excellent food and superb service, with a menu which never changes! This was a meal for my partner's Birthday and sad to say we hadn't visited for 3 years. My lady had the Bruscetta to start and I had the Calimari: which was soft and light and a treat: the Bruscetta was beautiful too: I can also recommend the Involtini picante (spicy sausage) ! For mains I had the Filetto alla griglia: Grilled fillet steak garnished with onions, mushrooms and tomatoes and lady had the Pollo Artemio : Chicken fillets with button mushrooms, paprika, brandy and cream sauce. Steak was cooked to perfection and my lady's meal was delicious (I tried some!) and we washed it down with a beautiful and beautifully-priced Malbec. We also shared their amazing Tiramasu for dessert. Paula and her team were amazing throughout and we even got a free Limoncello each: I was budgeting £140-£150 for this meal and was delighted it came to £90! Happily gave a £20 tip: a true gem: do this guys!!! They also offer beautiful pizzas cooked in plain site and and early bird menu!

It's nice but the lasagna is not italian food,this lasagna is for me the same buying from ICELAND and put în the microwave,you can't ask 13£..sp sorry I will take next time a pizza amd I will post again if at least this is made how should be,the location is very nice just it

I had dinner here last night with three friends. We all had lasagne with garlic and fresh bread to share. Three of us had dessert- crème brûlée, cheesecake and I had tiramisu (my favourite!). The food was fantastic and we had a really good evening

This evening I went to Melenio, which is a little Italian restaurant in the Runcorn Old Town, for a belated birthday dinner with my mum and her partner. A close friend of mine had recommended the restaurant on a few occasions and I finally got around to trying the place, I must say I was most certainly not disappointed, my friend had definitely not sold me short with this recommendation. I had the Involtini picante to start and the Risotto di Mare for my main. Both dishes were delicious and the wait for the food was not too long either. As for the staff in the restaurant, they were very polite and friendly. This may have been my for visit, but it certainly won’t be my last. If you are looking for somewhere to go with great food and equally great service, I highly recommend giving this restaurant a go.

As far as Italian food goes, this is as good as it gets. Top class for me in all areas. Can’t wait to go again.

We went for an early dinner before we were going to see a George Michael Tribute at The Brindley, the food at this restaurant is fantastic, all freshly cooked , the four of us chose different things and we all agreed that everything we had was superb. I chose the seafood risotto which was the best risotto I have ever had, it was so full of flavour. The staff are also brilliant, very attentive and the whole atmosphere in the restaurant is excellent. We are looking forward to our next visit and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Melenio to anyone visiting Runcorn.

Had a fantastic time at the restaurant .We were a large group that were accommodated at short notice. Service was fab , food was lovely and Paula and the staff looked after us all brilliantly. The atmosphere was great and we all had a great time . We will definitely be returning .

I’ve been here twice within the past month. It is a lovely restaurant and the food is stunning. I have tried a few things on the menu, for starters the goats cheese salad and olives, then for mains, fillet steak with peppercorn sauce, and I have also had the margarita pizza, both amazing! I will certainly be returning here in the future with friends and family, huge variety of choice on the menu and good value for money.

I have travelled to Italy on many occasions and Italian is my favourite type of food. I visited during the Christmas period with a friend and we decided to go on a whim so couldn't book because they were closed over Christmas. We arrived at five past four and to say that we got a frosty reception from the rude woman on the front was an understatement. We were snapped at and told that we were supposed to ring to book, well this is not 1980 and they were closed over Christmas and most places have booking tools now but this place does not have the capacity for that. Then we were asked to toddle off for half an hour to a pub down the road while they set up and come back in half an hour - Blessing in disguise, we did not return and had a beautiful meal elsewhere.

What a wonderful place! We booked our table in the morning via their website inquiries for 5pm on a Saturday evening. They emailed us shortly after to confirm our booking, very hassle free and quick. We parked nearly at the local carpark and walked a few minutes to the restaurant. We were seated as soon as we arrived at the restaurant. We ordered our food and drinks, drinks came extremely quickly and the starters not long after. We ordered the spicy sausage, prawns and mussels as our starter. What can I say! The food was delicious, soft and creamy. I can honestly say this was some of the best starters I've ever had. After having starters I was more hungry than when I arrived at the restaurant in anticipation of the main course. The main course arrived shortly after we had finished our starters. The main course continued to hit the high standards of the starters. We had ordered the seafood risotto and the lamb chops. The lamb chops were juicy and tender, cooked to perfection. The seafood risotto was rich and creamy, every bite was full of flavour. Once we had finished our mains, we were so impressed that we ordered even more food. We ordered another prawn starter, the salmon starter, tiramisu and vanilla cheesecake with strawberries. The high standards continued all the way through the rest of our meal. The service was second to none! We were served very quickly and the host was very knowledgeable of the food and the menu. She suggested the best way to have the lamb chops. The host even noticed that I had a wobbly plate and rectified it immediately without any prompt from myself and my partner. She encouraged me to fully try the starters including the salad that I ignored which was delicious, I could not fault her service and professionalism. If you are ever in the area and get the opportunity to eat here, I cannot recommend this highly enough!

Amazing food, Amazing everything! Ordered starters, mains, then starters again and lastly dessert! I can't stress how good this place is! Our starters were amazing, that's why we had a second round of starters and our mains were just a bust of flavour in each bite. I cannot give justice to how good the food is! And the service was fab. My partner had a plate that was a bit wobbly but we didn't mind and not realising that the server noticed and gave us a cloth place mat to even out and stop the clinking of the plate on the table. Superb service! She recommended how best my partners lamb was to be cooked and that was the best mouth watering flavourful lamb ever! Server clearly knows the menu well. We also had desserts that did not fail to impress. And my partner and I never have desserts! This is truly and honestly, in my own opinion, the best food we've ever set our taste buds on! We spent quite a bit but that was because we kept going for seconds! So if you're around Runcorn or Liverpool Melenio is a MUST try! 💯

I have been to Melenio's many time and tried a range of starters and mains. The food and service is excellent. The menu highlights for me are the linguine gamberoni (king prawns), the garlic bread and the calamari. But everything is delicious and they are very accommodating of various intolerances and preferences.

Fabulous little place. The staff are amazing. From the minute we went through the door untill we left at the end of the night. The foods out of this world and all prepared freshly by the chef. Dont have a bad word to say about it. Thank you all for making my birthday meal so special ❤️❤️

Gorgeous food staff go out of there way highly recommend

A Welcome Return Our little group returned here last night and it was lovely to find the place just as we remembered it and the food as delicious as ever. I had the fungi milano seabass and vegetables followed by affrogato. The mushroom dish is unlike any others I have eaten so moorish and must have a secret ingredient! The seabass never disappoints-crisp skin and moist flesh-gorgeous. Compliments to Chef. We started with cocktails a Margarita for me and expertly made by Paula with lots of laughs a long the way. Ably assisted by Kaleigh who is a real asset. A really lovely polite girl. Chardonnay with the meal amarreto on the ice cream with an espresso and a limoncello to finish just like in Italy. A fab night -just what we needed.

Went for tea last night before going the Brindley to watch a show, the restaurant was well kept, lovely and warm and very clean, with friendly staff. The food was gorgeous, this is not the first time we have been, and we have never been disappointed with the food, it was lovely and fresh, made and prepared in an open kitchen. The lady who served us ensured we was well looked after, definitely recommend 10/10 🌟

Visiting relatives nearby, rang restaurant on the off chance. We fell on our feet again. This is a gem of a family restaurant tucked away in an inconspicuous street, but near a free car park. On two floors this is a family run business with the kitchen open to the view of the diners. The menu, whilst not too extensive, seems to be well chosen. The service is very good and friendly and the chef is willing prepare dishes which vary from the description on the menu. We were a party of five so sampled a fair selection of different dishes, both starters, mains, pasta and desserts. All of which we thoroughly enjoyed. We felt welcome and were treated like part of the family a sure sign of a proper Italian restaurant. We will try to come back again whenever we are in the area .

My son and i were visiting Runcorn and were recommended this restaurant by a local taxi driver. The staff were so welcoming and the service was second to none. Small place nice food and atmosphere

Melenio is really lovely place and with such a warm atmosphere! Paula and Elias were very welcoming, helpful and we felt immediately that we are to the right place. The quality of food was amazing and the service as well! I really recommend that place if you are visiting Runcorn
