The best restaurants in Stockton-on-Tees North East

So popped into Asda for a quick drink and light lunch. Whilst waiting in the queue I noticed they had an example afternoon tea on display not sure how long it had been on display but the sandwich had grown penicillin. I waited in the queue sometime and eventually ordered two vegetable soups which were to be brought to our table. The soup eventually arrived in two dog type bowls and we were advised to watch out as it was hot but if not hot enough we could use the microwave. The soup was cold and very unappealing, we did try to heat it but the bowls got hotter than the soup and one did appear to crack. The place generally looked untidy and definitely would not recommend at all.

Been in a few times, locals are friendly, drinks are reasonably priced, think the Duke box is free available through an app on your phone. Lovely staff.

Absolutely horrendous service after asking multiple times if there was a big table to host our party of five, we sat at a table for four and added an extra chair and mid space for my baby. The woman who then came and brought our drinks over told us that our party of five was not able to sit on a table for four even though we just added an extra chair after we were told there was no other spaces for us. The same women who then brought our food over for myself and two children was ridiculously rude. She was Huffing and sighing when we were trying to make room to take the plate from her as she was holding it at arms length. She then came over to me, i had my pram tucked into the side so there was pkanrly of room for people to pass her for her to get to the table .. I was feeding my baby and she could clearly see I couldn’t take the plate from her. I asked her to put it onto the table and she just held the plate of hot food in front of my face above my baby. I asked her to move in case he threw his hand up And I told her that I physically couldn’t take the plate and if she could just put it down on the table she told me she couldn’t because there was no space because we didn’t take our trays away. She looked frustrated and made the two children we had with us feeling very uncomfortable as they thought they had done somthing wrong. Overall, the customer service and the way I was spoken to was absolutely disgraceful when asked if I could speak to a manager i was left waiting for way to long and then told there wasn’t a manager in.

called in with my wife Christine today, we both picked a sausage sarnie and a cup of tea. Tried to find a table what was clean was nearly impossible, cups , plates , cutlery left every where , tables not wiped down , food on the floor , the menus were stuck together with ketchup , filthy , scruffy place. Staff who were served us were pleasant and polite but not enough clearing and wiping tables down , staff were only reason it gets 1 star, minging

The worst food we have ever had served to us truly awful very cheap quality. We ordered a Burger and a Steak the burger was full of hard bits and didn't smell very good. The Steak was full of fat and clearly of cheap quality. We didn't eat them we couldn't I now know why the owner eats in Macdonald's every day. The pub needs a deep clean and a chef who knows how to cook . Save your money and eat somewhere else.

We stopped by here to get some drinks whilst the car was on charge. It's your typical mcdonalds, nothing fancy. We ordered at the machine so no really interaction with staff other than to go up and collect our drinks order.

Just ordered two meals with drinks to be delivered (we are less than 3 miles from the place). Food took 40 mins to arrive and was freezing cold. The paper bag looked like a tramp had been using it to disguise a bottle of meths he was swigging from. The drinks were completely missing. Worst of it is that there is no recourse for complaint. They send you a delivery drivers number but that was not recognised. There is no answer at Wolviston Service McDonald’s on either of the number they have listed. Total rubbish. At least dick Turpin had the decency to wear a mask!

Took ages to get any service at all despite only a handful of customers. I specifically asked for no tomatoes due to an allergy and the salad came full of tomatoes. Food was OK. Other customers in their included an out of control dog which no one seemed bothered about

Nipped in here out of desperation when everything shut at 9pm. Toilets were repulsive. Two cubicles, one blocked, no loo roll in the other cubicle. Tables all dirty, all staff behind the counter so no-one dealing with the grimy tables. Filthy floor. Pretty disgusting all round. Asked for the table to be cleaned and the member of staff did our table, ignored all the others then went back behind the counter to hang around and chat. The food was acceptable so 2 stars. Not sure why I expected much else from McDs.

Two nights in a row missing chips and curry sauce from our order when rang said they could send it out again or at a later date. Rang to do so a few weeks later to be told it’s only one portion they’re willing to give us and I have to pay delivery despite it being their error in the first place!! Lowest customer service possible won’t be using again out of principal

If you are looking for a fish shop that does the greasiest chips, fish with the softest soggy batter and the wateriest curry sauce that you have ever experienced then this is the plaice for you. We had had a very busy day and we decided to have fish and chips and we chose this chippy. What a mistake. It was that bad that I swore that it was the last time that I am having fish and chips.

I ordered a cod in breadcrumbs, peas curry sauce, Two fritters and pickled onions. The fish was dry as a bone. The breadcrumbs just fell off. The fritters were scarcely battered. Just chunks of potato. The peas were not mushy. They were like bullets and the curry sauce was watery. The only upside were the pickled onions. Out of the jar.

Best Mexicana pizza going, I have been going here since I was a kid, myself and my family ordered food pizzas were brilliant, burgers are excellent, jassy can't do enough for you, thanks jassy

1st online order,didn't turn up 2nd order missing items. Food lovely but staff miss items and delivery drivers are unreliable at times.
