Tasty Wok in Stockton-on-Tees

Two nights in a row missing chips and curry sauce from our order when rang said they could send it out again or at a later date. Rang to do so a few weeks later to be told it’s only one portion they’re willing to give us and I have to pay delivery despite it being their error in the first place!! Lowest customer service possible won’t be using again out of principal

Extensive menu. Efficient and friendly service. Set menu for 2 with the crispy duck addition was very good value and good quality.

Tasty food enjoyed by the family. Question being contact 30 minutes after order to say being charged extra for delivery? Surely this should be calculated on ordering??? Or is this delivering drivers ?? Think this needs to be addressed during order being taken!!!!

Never had any issues with take away food from this place, its not cheap but neither is anywhere else at the moment, food always cooked great and plenty too, cant say anything bad at all about this place, i am a local in the area.

Salt and CHILLI chicken states on menu very hot Tasteless chicken no chilli drowned in sloppy onions and it’s juice, about 3 pieces of green pepper, rice was tasteless only nice thing wer the noodles, prawn crackers tasted stale and soft, lad on the counter said 5 mins was sat there 20 won’t be returning

We used to frequent this place quite a lot and was our go to Chinese. About 3 years ago we stopped going after the food wasn’t great and we had good quality restaurants locally. Anyway. The missus suggested why don’t we try the Tasty Wok? Obviously we had forgotten why we stopped going. Picked food up, good value meal for 2 and friendly staff as usual. Got home and I tucked into my hot and sour soup, my favourite dish. It was very vinegary so I left a lot of it. Also, the prawn crackers which I love dipping in the soup did not taste fresh. Then started with the main course selections. Everyone was salty and not tasty. Like I said in the title, the worst Chinese I have ever had and after salivating all day for it I was gutted. I haven’t complained to the restaurant until, perhaps I should have, but chose not too.

Absolute joke — ordered on line and given a 59 min delivery time , an hour and a half later still had no food so rang tasty wok — reply was “it’ll be 20 mins, it’s very busy “ — sat here now and it’s been 36 mins and still no food 🙈, what’s the point of saying 59 mins when you have no chance of making that time slot 🙈

Second week in a row ordered a meal and yet to receive the correct order..chips the only thing correct about it, need someone who can take down an order correctly or fix a broken system, or will loose customers

Ordered a meal and Specified No sea food (prawns) and Also No Mushroom's (Fungi) however when My meal was delivered the first thing I saw was Mushroom which totally destroyed my experience and the meal. I could not even get a replacement and the shop shut anfter my delivery.

Do not use this take away service terrible order arrived 90mins late following several phone calls when it did arrive stone cold and order was wrong whole lot hit the bin inedible order at your own risk wish I'd checked reviews before ordering

Lad who anwsered the phone cant fault him very well mannered but the little Chinese woman stinking attitude no manners just not in the right job to be working with the public. Food was cold and the amount you got was so not worth the money thanks but no thanks.Give it a miss and order from else were

Ordered good at 5pm. Told an hour for delivery. Checked why it hadn't arrived at 6.45 to be told our order hadn't gone through till. It would be cooked and sent straight out. It's now 7.40 and still no food.

Absolutely appalled at the customer service here!! The lady on the phone was extremely rude to me because I asked if I could have something on the side opposed to on the entire dish. I was told to order something else if I didn't like the way it would be presented!! I only want my curry sauce on the side! She then proceeded to argue with me about. First and last time I will be ordering from there!!!

I have passed this takeaway I don’t know how many time over the years. My usual choice in Norton for Chinese is Happy Valley ,but as my last meal there was disappointing to say the least ,I decided to try it tonight. I walked in off the street and ordered direct from the menu; house special chow menu, curry sauce & chips. The restaurant is very clean in the waiting area and the lady behind the counter was pleasant. My food arrived after about 15 minutes. My verdict; the food was piping hot; the chow mien had lots of ingredients, beef, pork, chicken, king prawns it also included veg which is not always the case. The menu did state that the chow mien came in a sauce and it did. Overall the food was quite nice; did it blow me away? No but it was half decent. Only negative comment was that the chips were not great; they appeared warmed up. Would I use it again? Yes I probably would.

Waited over an hour for the food!! It came and half the chicken Maryland was missing! Rang up and told can’t they give them to us next time!!! There won’t be a next time! They weren’t prepared to send the meal in full recooked and all together!!! Just sent the rat separate!! So expected to eat the half then the 2nd half or !! Or eat half cold half hot

Ordered the other day and ended up cancelling, said approximately 1hr and after 2 hrs 20 mins rang up to cancel, promised we could have discount next time as an apology. Ordered today and was told it wouldn’t be long, we have been waiting an hour and a half and still no sign of the food AND the guy on the phone wouldn’t give us our discount. Really bad customer service as well

Phoned at 6.15, told pick up time was 6.35. Went in and paid at 6.35. After checking my change noticed it was £2 short. When I mentioned this it was thrown onto the counter like it was an inconvenience for me to expect my correct change. Sat waiting in the shop for another 35 minutes. When I went to check how long it would be I was handed my food that no one noticed had been sat behind the counter for 10 minutes. This place is a joke!!!

We ordered at 530 and they advised 630 delivery. After 4 calls eventually arrived at 715 after I insisted his delivery run was diverted from 7 miles away. It's a joke and I will never use them again

Recientemente fui a un chino que quieran Wok sabroso como todo el mundo. Entré y recibió un personal muy maleducado inglés miembro que claramente no quería estar allí. Pedí mi comida y fuimos a sentarnos a esperar. Después de unos 20 - 30 minutos de situar mi orden, caminamos hasta el mostrador para preguntar dónde y cómo mi comida era largo sería sólo para ser recibidos por el olor a humo de tabaco y me di cuenta de que uno de los chefs en la parte trasera de la cocina, la comida. He hablado con muchas otras personas que han sido testigos de este y me sentí mareada a mi estómago cuando vi que para mí. Yo le informe de este y nunca será ir a este chino de nuevo. Asquerosa.

Intentó comprar un simple para llevar arroz y curry de patatas fritas para el hombre sin hogar en norton, que por lo general no. Jueves por la noche sólo una persona antes que yo en la tienda, 40 minutos más tarde todavía no sirve. Por el tiempo que me ha servido el hombre finalmente sin techo habían movido por hambre. Despreciable NO USA

Vile. Found a straight short hair in my chow mein. Can only hope it was a eyelash. The rice was a mass of gelatine and the sauce had no taste. It's smells like vomit 🤢

Called on a busy Saturday night for delivery. Very friendly helpful girl on the phone. Delivery took about the quoted hour, but well worth the wait.. certainly was tasty!

En resumen, no te molestes. Realizó el pedido de vuelta de seis, finalmente llegamos justo después de las 8. Calidad muy pobre, tenía lo que era carne picante chili casi todo cebollas, carne muy poco y mal cocinado con una salsa picante apenas sosa. Mi comida era tan pobre hijos y mi esposa no me impresionó.

Sin embargo, la comida es increíble que tienen habilidades de servicio al cliente muy pobre olvidar cosas sencillas como pan de gambas! O perder un curry en un pedido que ya ha pagado con un cargo de entrega y cuando llame para quejarme me dicen aún en el mostrador si! Me gustaría recogerlo! No pagué por la entrega organizada viene a la mente

Very pleasant staff and food is outstanding I have recently been converted to this takeaway as it was recommended to me and must say it is a class above and prices are very good value it is now my regular and everytime the meals are delicious

We ordered for a family of 3 tonight, they said they were busy but 2 hours for a takeaway is a joke when only 2 mile away, best when it turned up driver was rude an arrogant the food was cold which made it taste awfull, by far the worst take away iv ever had dnt no what else to say apart from shows our town up and judge all chinese by these standards most are ok in this area.

Telephoned a large order in and was told it would be ready in 30 minutes. Arrived on time and then had to wait another 40 minutes in the shop before it was finally ready with no apology for being kept so long. While we were waiting you could see into the kitchen where a small child was playing. Surely this is against health and hygiene regulations and also extremely unsafe. When we arrived home with the food the bulk of it was undercooked and ended up in the bin. Terrible food, terrible service and will never go there again.

This is now our regular Chinese takeaway even though we live in Thornaby as they have a varied menu for vegetarians, serving tofu as well as mixed veg. My partner (who is not a veggie) LOVES the satay chicken kebab skewers from the appetiser menu. Portion sizes are generous and chips or rice are included with standard meals. Always really busy so delivery times can be quite long. We ordered here from last night and it was so busy even ordering in the shop was leading g to a half hour wait. Testimont to the food. As other reviewers have mentioned the Chinese host can be brusque - I think this is just her manner unfortunately but does not detract from the food quality.

We regularly use this Norton-based takeaway (which is opposite the Red Lion) when visiting our family at the weekend. The food is of a consistently high standard and extremely good value. We tend to collect, therefore, we can't comment on delivery.

Love your curry rice and chips ! And quick service Nothing to dislike we will go again e nic err menu choice

Last Friday and Saturday I ordered Chinese from Tasty Wok in Norton.Their food was fantastic also they sent the meal within an hour which is very good!

Absolutely appalling customer service, on 3 occasions rang in order and had to wait over 2 hours before it was delivered with no apologises. I will not use this take-away again. Very poor

We decided to give these a try and are very impressed. The English girl on the counter was friendly. She took time to take my complex order, always smiling and made the shop feel inviting. The food was fantastic and delicious. I will certainly be returning again.

Firstly the food is absolutely excellent, cannot fault any part of it,the service lets it down, times given for telephone orders are ambitious to say the least, well over 45 minutes late, the lady taking the order is very snappy, and was very aggressive because i didn't have correct change, must say i'm very divided about returning, for the food i would return but for the service i would be hesitant.
