Asda Cafe in Stockton-on-Tees

So popped into Asda for a quick drink and light lunch. Whilst waiting in the queue I noticed they had an example afternoon tea on display not sure how long it had been on display but the sandwich had grown penicillin. I waited in the queue sometime and eventually ordered two vegetable soups which were to be brought to our table. The soup eventually arrived in two dog type bowls and we were advised to watch out as it was hot but if not hot enough we could use the microwave. The soup was cold and very unappealing, we did try to heat it but the bowls got hotter than the soup and one did appear to crack. The place generally looked untidy and definitely would not recommend at all.

As title says last time i was here was 4 years ago as wasn’t impressed then and now its slightly better,staff ok but not enough of them also menu choice poor and prices not the best, the cafe doesn’t draw you in and looks quite drab ,could be a winner with a bit more thought as competing with other more well know cafes in area.seating could be better and organised better.wont rush back soon

Dropped in with a friend for a quick lunch. What a bad choice! The tea was terrible, hardly warm and cheap tea bags. I ordered a bacon sandwich and the best you could say about it was it was just edible! The choice of food was very limited My friends food of a sandwich and biscuit was the same. The whole area needs a revamp as the seats were torn and very worn out. Will not be going again.

Waited to get served but after a few minutes left as no one on counter so done some more shopping in store and went back ,2 girls serving now as a que here,service so slow i always usually find that especially weekends when younger staff on so slow and no interest in job anyway food bland and drinks ok,seating on benches all ripped need some TLC in here and staff who care about customer service.only came here as was quiet in here and my daughters were hungry but theres plenty of choice on teesside park.prices a bit steep as well and not much food available on a Sunday.

Seen the picture outside for pizza slice, gave it a go and well impressed. Cheap enough and very tasty

There was four of us who ate in asda cafe for breakfast. The cafe was quiet. Three orders came put all together quite quickly, but mine was 35mins later and they got the order wrong. I ordered an omelette without mushrooms. When it turned up there was mushrooms on it. I was asked if I'd like another one making but I declined as it took so long to arrive in the first place and just left the mushrooms to one side. There wasn't much flavour in the food when it came. When ordering at the counter, the system the staff were using seemed confusing for them. I think that this should be addressed. Sorry Asda, I won't be rushing back in a hurry.

Had tea with scones today prices maybe a bit high after all Asda suppose to be low prices,drinks ok but scones very dry,young lad serving but was very quiet in cafe,the display in cafe poor.wont rush back.

South of Average near Poor, scones a bit dry, coffee a little flat and we thought the whole experience was very costly considering Asda are suppose to keep costs down, won't try it again when in the Asda Living Shop.

Just tried the jacket potato beans and cheese, pretty unexciting but did the job for a quick snack good value for what you get.

good selection of kids food with fruit,sandwiches,yogurts and cakes.toilets are at the back of the store away from the cafe which is a bit of a pain when one of your children needs the toilet and you have three of them with you.

Fine to pop in for coffee and cake while busy shopping. Friendly staff and nice and open plan to people watch.

Paramos para un café rápido como M&S y Costa eran realmente ocupado. No hay ninguna cola aquí y el servicio estaba bien. Té Earl Grey no era la mejor, pero con leche de mi mujer estaba bien y por lo que pagamos, realmente no debería quejarme. Volver arriba cuando otros decente en lugares Parque teesside están ocupados, pero no el sitio al que ir!

Dropped in for a cup of tea before we started shopping around portrack. Service was pleasant and good value.

coffees better but the breakfasts are now bacon buns etc no full English anymore which is sad ,I enjoyed a full breakfast ,they going for speed ie /in and out quick ,only go in for a coffee now

A reasonably priced simple coffee shop. Staff friendly and helpful. It is a shame that the children's area is so small and now consists of four stools and a noughts and crosses game with most of the noughts and crosses worn off.
