3 Rivers Bar & Coffee Lounge in Stockton-on-Tees

Vibrant modern bar which has a great buzz in a weekend, we love to pop in and enjoy sampling some of the refreshments on a regular basis.

Heard god things about this place and we don’t often go to Ingleby, but yesterday we visited and decided to pop in for a drink. Let’s start with the positives , when entering it looked a nice little place and the TV screen advertising the bottomless brunch looked good value . We had only popped in for a coffee and a drink as we were passing. It was quite busy , all looked good. Unfortunately that’s where the positives stop. Queued for about 30 mins (only two people in front of me) the young bar lad had as much customer service as a brick wall, literally no people skills what so ever. I asked for a menu, was told they didn’t have any !!! Asked if they did iced coffees was told they did but he didn’t know how to make them , no alternative offered. Decided to just go for normal latte , but one with soya milk , the disgust on the lads face was as though I had asked for his kidney !!! After what seemed like an eternity for them to be made , I didn’t dare ask if they did hot chocolate, so just ordered a pint. After I was given the drink which was in a filthy glass , the barman just stood and looked at me with a blank expression… I took from this he wanted me to pay , when I asked how much he just pointed to the card machine . No chat or pleasantries. I really wonder how these people get a job in hospitality. Such a shame as it seems a nice little place, I’m not usually one for doing bad reviews , but I’m sure there is other nice establishments in the area that would rather have my money. Not sure if I will be rushing back .

Cozy little bar, great service and took my mate to a gig there so free live music, was a really good night. Highly recommend.

Since the refurb a couple of years ago it’s become very bright, over-lit, garishly coloured and extremely noisy. Add in a singer or karaoke and it’s unbearable. Such a shame as I loved this place before but avoid it now.

More about drink than food but good atmosphere and very dog friendly

Checked opening hours online 11am same on the door. Walking towards cafe at just after 11am lady inside saw us with a baby and locked door in our face. Tried ringing no answer. Waited five minutes door still locked, two people inside phoned and told not open until 12!!! It would have been polite if the lady who locked the door in our face had the decency to explain the hours online are incorrect. Went to Gin and Scone instead would highly recommend.

Fantastic little venue. The staff are very attentive. Matt, the manager, is a great asset and makes a mean cocktail. Always has a welcoming feel and definitely the best bar/pub in Ingleby. Live music every Thursday which is great to break the week up. It definitely has the extra touches every pub in Ingleby Is lacking. Highly recommend

Didn’t have food. Had an aperol Spritz which was made to the recommended recipe but are mostly diluted by soda. The staff are always so friendly and accommodating.

Been many times allways a brilliant night Thursday also with the live entertainment and the bar staff are so friendly bubbley and allways happy. One of my favourite places to visit in Ingleby.

Visited here last night for drinks. I couldn't believe the amount of DOGS inside. I know some bars allow dogs, which is fine, but this was ridiculous ! One owner was just letting his dog just wander round, and not one bar staff asked him to put it on a lead. The place also smelt if wet dogs ! It's put me off returning to this bar. It's only a small place, so they should just allow 2 in and maybe not let the dogs stay all night. I'm really disappointed in this bar.

Always a great stopping off point nice lager Heineken went extremely quick at £3.50 a pint Had Stella instead

Excellent place to meet up with friends for some drinks

If you enjoy a small establishment, eating cold food with dogs barking all around you then this is the place for you. Not for me, never again.

This place should be great (4-5 stars), however vaping is spoils it. . The place is small and even after a couple of hours visit my lungs were affected for hours afterwards, also coughing whilst in there. These days are gone ( so I thought) ffs please control your bar, I'm sure I'm not the only person to be put off by this. I'd happily spend money all of the time if you enforced the law.

Lovely coffee and really friendly bar staff. A most welcome place to chill out. Such a shame they can't open Monday's anymore. More people need to visit this wonderful place during the day.

Newly refurbished, still modern micropub feel bur a bit more grown up an spacious. Better seating. Good choice of drinks and friendly staff.

This is a lovely friendly place to have a coffee and catch up with friends or a drink or two on an evening. The cakes looked amazing as well!

Great value drinks and snacks. We have been several times after work for drinks and a few times for lunch. Always popular and friendly staff.

Visited tonight next to a table who split their drinks 3 times, the woman who cleaned up after them was amazing and very friendly (sorry I didn't ask for your name). Quite unusual though that you can't ask for an off menu classic cocktail due to stock take issues.

It is what is, too small and very noisy when there is more than ten people in due to it being like an air raid shelter but at least they sell nice beer

4.50 for a pint of Boddingtons! Almost London prices. Used to be quite a classy place but now seems to be the local for loudmouths.

Lovely bar. Serving hoegaarden beer on tap with is a massive plus for me. 😋. The atmosphere is relaxed and the food served is delicious. Staff helpful. All round its a really nice var/cafe. Would deffo recommend

Terrible come back for 82p on a 22pound round

No hand pulled beers and ludicrously expensive. The two stars are merely for any lingering benefit of the doubt.

Popped in for a cocktail after work felt very safe in these turbulent times of covid. The very welcoming new manager Matt recommended the new cherry bakewell and it was amazing will definitely be returning to try some more new cocktails in future.

not a plesant experience, the Tables not far enough apart no screens ,Waiter or anyone else were not wearing a mask. drink was Good though which was important.

Amazing Saturday night spent at the 3 rivers!! Harry was so attentive and made us some amazing godfathers when they were not featured on the cocktail menu. Thoroughly enjoyed our night and felt safe throughout. Thank you!!

Wonderful customer sevice from staff and amazing cappuccinos .

Came on a Monday afternoon so not busy at all. Service was slow. Chef was wandering around front of house which is unprofessional. Only one other staff member on, who was rushed. Flat white was watery and split all over saucer. Breakfast bun just fell apart and was dry. Panini filling was all squished outside of the bread, no filling seemed to actually be inside. Spent the good part of £20 on two coffees and two food items and literally wouldn’t ever go again. Just rubbish, not one good thing to say really.

Cosy, friendly and has a nice atmosphere. It's clean and tidy and it ticks all the boxes. Food, hot drinks, alcohol etc. The food was delicious and I would definitely recommend it.

Great Cafe and Bar and occasionally Live Music too!!

Huge disappointment, I would have highly recommended, however after being sat in the bar this afternoon to have what should have been a get together interrupted by a couple bringing an unruly dog in. As a dog owner this is just cruel, it’s naturally noisy and the environment can be uncertain for dogs, hence it couldn’t settle, it continuously barked, jumped up at the tables and on the seats. The management never addressed the issue leaving more than just my table being upset from this. What would be the ruling if I had a allergy to dogs, or a deep fear of dogs? I won’t be returning, nor would I recommend.

My husband and I decide to go to the 3 rivers as it serves some good beers and is very close to home, we have been there a few times now and found it pleasant. However our last visit will be our final visit, as dogs are allowed in which is fine but for the whole time we were in there we had to listen to a dog barking quite loudly the whole time, which is totally unacceptable...and no one NO ONE!!! asked the people who came in with the dog to stop it from barking and sometimes going for people...it’s not cute!!! Totally ruined the time in there...the establishment is too small for dogs to be running round barking and going for people!!!

Quirky little bar in the heart of a busy estate. Beautiful inside with cosy, friendly atmosphere. The external patio has heaters and is equally as quirky and cosy as inside. The staff are lovely, welcoming and friendly. I havent eaten here yet, just drinks, however I do plan to do so in the future. I would also highly recommend visiting here, also close to other amenities as part of a parade of shops.

Really enjoy visiting here, staff are always friendly, always make the effort to chat. Food is spot on, try the Sunday dinner wrap!

Tried this place as passing one day, first impressions not good as I sat waiting to be served, while, I assume a waitress, was tidying up, then chatting to the chef then she sat down to eat her lunch..no acknowledgement or directions of how to order, so after asking a make member of staff where to order he then took it, he was very pleasant and the drinks & food were ok, however first impressions count so I’m sorry to say I wouldn’t return or recommend.

Fits into the ingleby vibe perfectly in that its palace for people who somehow can afford to get botox but have not read a book in the last 12 months and also a perfect place for people who live in the north east that feel like they want to be more Essex like. Priced also as if it's in Essex.

I recently visited 3 Rivers one weekday afternoon with 6 colleagues. We met for a quick drink and cake, nice little coffee bar with a warm feel to it. Plenty of tasty treats to choose from we went for the chocolate orange brownie, carrot cake and the sluttie brownie - all of which were very tasty. The staff even rang the chef as one of us had a but allergy, so very tentative. Would certainly go back here in the future. Thanks again.

Couldn't be more disappointed with 3 Rivers.... thought we would get our Saturday off to a good start by trying a light breakfast in the 3 Rivers (Big mistake!!) Asked for a menu, we dont have menus they said....and it just went down hill from there, as the person taking the food to the tables was actually stroking the Dogs and dishing out the food as though this is perfectly acceptable... nope afraid not !! To finish my rant I asked for the bill, come to the till and pay they said, there was no breakdown of items to check against, just a total figure which was quite large for a scooby snack.....

Very friendly micro pub. Great choice of local beers and gins. Dog friendly too.

Myself and my husband popped into 3 Rivers this afternoon for an impromptu lunch. The menu has a great selection, from breakfast, to light bites, to desserts and more. I chose a panini and opted for mozzarella and tomato fillings, my husband had the sweet jacket potato with beans. Both dishes came with a lovely coleslaw and salad full of peppers, tomato, cucumber etc. The portion size is great for the price. Both dishes were very tasty. The service was excellent and we shall certainly be back again to try something else off the menu. Thank you very much to the 3 Rivers staff for today.

Very poor customer service, poor coffee. The drinks were delivered by someone dressed in jogging suit who I don’t even think worked there, coffee slppoecover on saucer!Ordered flat white, which came as a weak milky coffee, took it back to be told by the waitress, that’s how she was taught to make it, no apology!Daughter ordered chocolate milkshake, hot chocolate delivered, took it back, again no apology just told that’s what she’d ordered! Won’t be going back there, man there, who I assumed was the manager (James), too busy strutting around dancing to the background music to be aware of what was going on!! Total disappointment, what a waste of money.

If you are not there by 5pm on a Friday or Saturday you will not get it, it gets packed to the rafters. We go for the G and T but not the coffee. I do wish they would sort the coffee out so it's not so bitter and strong.

Not impressed at all, the service was slow and the staff had very little knowledge of their menu. No idea about allergies. I ordered a panini which on first glance I was quite looking forward to eat until I did. It was freezing cold not cooked at all and was accompanied by wedges which had what tasted like a whole salt sellar over them. When I complained about my food they apologised but then proceeded to reheat the same panni. I asked for a refund and they then tried to charge me again for it. Really need to improve on your customer training and knowledge of food hygiene!!! I've given one star for the coffee which was reasonable. Will not rush back.

All I would say is check your bill. We had several drinks on our tab that we never had.! Also if you want chicken make sure it’s cooked!

They have a good drinks selection at an ok price. The cocktails were nice the staff were really friendly. I will be going again.

This is a great bar, friendly service and dog friendly too. Limited beer selection but they have lots of gin and cocktails. They do live music on a Thursday but with it being a small bar it fills up quickly. Lovley atmosphere, graat and varied music, but the seats are not the most comfortable.

Popped in for lite bite,ordered sandwiches from menu they didn’t have first choices, it arrived quickly but still wasn’t what we’d ordered the chips were soggy and looked like they had been cooked in dirty oil they were awful but it was the chef that caught my eye, he went outside on his phone chatting running his hand through his hair when he come back in he didn’t wash his hands or put on an apron and he was touching food then he stood behind the bar with his arms folded high so his hands were in his armpits. He then started touching/preparing food again without washing. It definitely put me off. We won’t return.

How great to finally have a decent bar on Ingleby. Cafe by day with a decent selection of teas, sandwiches and burgers available. I'm yet to check out the outdoor courtyard to the back, will be nice in summer!

Very small, very lively, very noisy and absolutely packed, people waiting for your seat as soon as you stood up. This was a Saturday night at 6.30 so don't know what it's like during the week at various times! Quite a few children in and out!

After a 5 minute wait at the bar I was totally ignored not even a hello il be with you in a minute . When I asked for a toasted tea cake I was told there were none . On pointing on the bar to where they were I was tol that the toaster doesn’t get used on Sunday .. ridiculous ..

Nice place local. Only thing to let this place down is the miserable staff. Called for a quick drink .. Staff to preoccupied to serve or acknowledge me. When I got served not a smile or a nod...

Had lovely afternoon with the selection of gins and beautiful warm beef sandwich with roasted potatoes. Does get very difficult to get a seat but if you're there early you will find one. Love the fact you can take in your dogs too. Lovely would visit again.

Have had a few lunches here,pleasant service from staff, food is basic but tasty, hot and served promptly. Evening atmosphere is also friendly local and great selection of Gin.

Popped in for a coffee with my dad and ordered two cappuccinos, one was good and one was quite frankly poor it was more like a latte, but setting that aside the staff were friendly and efficient the service was good and welcoming. A busy little stop at all times of the day.

Called in to finish the night at the local. A singer was on who was decent to be fair! A good atmosphere inside with a good mix of people. Lots of drinks and cocktails available to cover all trendy tastes. The only down side to this venue is the toilet facilities. One cubicle for male and one for female often results is people waiting!

Yep ive only ever drank Gin in here but it is very good and they are excellent at mixing different varieties, I wish I could say something about the food but not as yet

I'm from Darlington but our friends live round the corner from here. My boss from work lives near by too. Lovely little place. Serves a decent bacon bun on a morning and they serve blue moon on tap.

Eaten here a few times and always delicious .Their chips are amazing
