Costa Coffee in Stockton-on-Tees

Can’t even get a order correct they need to start reading orders!! Don’t get what you pay for!!

Costa coffee based in services but doesn’t provide adequate services. Absolutely no phone signal In the area and extremely poor WiFi You’d expect a Costa in a service area would provide more adequate services

The coffee was fine. But, the seating area was filthy! Dirty floors, windows. I also ordered a cheese toastie but was only toasted on one side. Very disappointed

This Costa Coffee is a lot better than the one you have on Stockton High Street, it is a lot cleaner and newer. The service and Coffee is also better.

Ordered £17 worth of items including a drink & 5 cakes. The drink arrived with no whipped cream or chocolate sauce and it was the only thing to have arrived, none of the cakes ordered arrived either. I spoke to the delivery driver and he said when he collected the order there were 2 bags on the counter I’m assuming my order but he was instructed to only collect 1?

The air con was a little fierce we were cold. Everything else was lovely

Wrong food sent, rang them for them to tell me to ask for a full refund through just eat

Order was a mess in the bags and wrong. I waited an hour for things that i could have been and collected myself in half the time and checked were correct.

Opted for no cream and still sent with cream.

Wasn’t drivers fault lid had not been put on drink properly so spilt everywhere. Also was missing cheese and tomato toastie - really bad service tbh

Nice coffee but only take out available as the toilets aren't working- surely a priority for the business to get up and running again.

Delivery didn't even turn up, I spend £30/40 ordering these daily as I work from home and I'd say 50% of the time the orders wrong or missing items, it's actually a joke now I don't know why I even bother, the amount of missing items I could save and buy my own costa coffee machine

Last 3 orders all were either missing items or I was send the wrong items

Waited 2 hours for a delivery which I was patient about, when the delivery arrived I was handed over the bag and after putting it on the kitchen top could hear dripping, when I checked one of the two coffees didn't have a lid and had spilt leaking through the bag, so annoying after waiting 2 hours

Such kind staff , didn’t have what I ordered in stock but they kindly called me and we replaced the order with something else. Amazing customer service they were so nice and helpful on the phone. Great delivery driver too came so happy and in a good mood unlike other delivery drivers. Thanks so much to all the staff and workers at costa billingham you guys are great x

Amazing service by the young lady will do again for the service

My order came an hour late, absolutely freezing cold and the hot chocolate that I ordered is absolutely full of clumps it’s disgusting. I thought it was just the top part when I initially took a sip but when I looked it’s completely full of bits and clumps. Not sure if it’s the milk that has curdle but I’m certainly not drinking it and I’ve paid £18 for all of that too? I want my money back asap absolutely shocking service

Costa in Billingham is my favourite Costa . Staff are always lovely and make you feel welcomed.

Both coffees i ordered were nowhere near full

pole and line tuna melt with cheddar cheese, mozzarella and mayonnaise. Why then I ask, does it come with onions ?

Nice small Costa in the town centre. Staff were friendly but seemed rushed at peak times causing issues with cleaning tables etc.

Was over an hour late because the the driver went the wrong way. All the way up to ferry hill. My food was freezing cold and my drink was spilt everywhere, all over my sweet treat which made it inedible.

Lovely customer service received today from the guy that served us. Very friendly and helpful. The lady was also very pleasant.

I suppose it depends on the barista that makes your brew but generally this is my go to coffee shop with tasty snacks not cheap tho enjoy

I called into Costa in Billingham. I am a rep and travel round the north east. I went straight to the toilets as I had just had a 3 hour journey and also can’t leave my items at a table once I have made my order. I was intending to then get a coffee before going to my appt. A male member of staff shouted across at me, I said “I’m just using your toilets” he said very sarcastically “ you’re very welcome” to which I replied “thank you”. When I came out of the toilets and got in line to order my coffee his manner continued to dismissive and even when he took my order he started talking to the next customer. I interrupted his conversation to ask for a receipt and when I took it again very sarcastically he said thank you. Really rude member of staff and when I saw his badge and that he is a store manager (Jak) i was dumbstruck. As I said I travel across the north east and finding a toilet is difficult and I usually use Costa but always order something. Very disappointing service and disappointing how he made me feel.

Nice little Costa in Billingham. Staff are friendly. Always nice to stop and chill for an hour. My usual fare is a Cappuccino with a blueberry muffin.

Young girl asking for order was very dismissive and ignored questions we had. Order took forever with staff inside laughing,joking and messing around. Young male was annoyed that he had run out of cream for our order and had to get more, which it came with anyway. Wont be returning to this costa.. 15:40 15/08/2021

Excellent service and happy staff makes for a comfy and welcoming environment, the staff are skilled in crafting a great cup of coffee and have never been a let down one of the best cost's I have been to.

We as a family arrived at costa all wearing masks (4 adults, 1 child, 1 infant in a pushchair). We walked in and we went to grab a table, straight away a woman started saying “you can’t sit together”. Her excuse was that we can not move chairs to sit together and it’s max 4 people to a table. What about single parent families who have 4 children? Will a child have to sit on their own? Would the parent have to sit away from their children? I understand there is a pandemic However, how can a bigger family go and visit costa? They aren’t allowed to sit together. There were 4 adults, 1 child, and 1 baby. So we wouldn’t be able to sit together and have a nice a nice visit. Anyway, we were willing to sit on two seperate tables until the staff members started talking about us and staring at us from behind the counter. There was zero customer service given, no apology that we can’t sit together. Just a “you can’t sit together, find another table to sit at”. Instead what should have been said was “unfortunately, you can’t sit together im afraid, I’m sorry but they’re the rules”. There was NO apology, and the staff member made us feel really uncomfortable that we didn’t want to stay and eat there. Especially due to them staring and talking about us behind the counter. We came to costa for a lovely visit and a little treat before the child went back to school, we ended up leaving after being made to feel uncomfortable and not being able to visit as a family.

Best Costa on Teesside, pity no panetonne though. It appears that because panetonne are supplied in bulk packs and the majority are wasted due to low purchase volumes they are no longer stocking them (ditto Yarm), surely the answer is to supply them in smaller packs to the stores, not to stop stocking them.

We go to many Costa shops. It is our ‘thing’ to go out 2 days a week. Of all of the shops we have visited this is the only shop ever to insist on 10 pence for an extra pat of butter. I mean, really? If 10 pence will put you into financial meltdown , I am sorry for your bad management, but losing customers over 10 pence won’t help your plight. Go to Teesside Park, great shop! Go to the Costa at Wolviston also lovely. But stay away from this Costa. We won’t be returning.

A nice walk in to town to enjoy a nice Cappuccino and a bacon bun; what a nice way to start a Saturday. Large, spacious and clean coffee shop with nice pleasant staff. £5.05 for a large Cappuccino and a bacon bun is really good value plus the opportunity to catch up with life and people watch. What more do you need.

A lovely, clean coffee shop where service is first class and, of course, the coffee is 5 star. Had a snack lunch here between appointments and wasn't disappointed.

We use the Drive Thru at least once a week and have always found the staff to be friendly, efficient and helpful, although a little ‘over the top’ at times. The coffee is the best in the area and well worth the short drive to purchase it.

When we visited we were shocked by the state of the car park. Three bins were completely overflowing and the whole area was littered with cups, plastic bottles, drinks trays and sandwich boxes. In the twenty minutes we were inside, five tables remained uncleared. This was not a case of lack of staff, as when no customers were at the counter, four members were chatting, laughing and joking with a guy they obviously knew who was showing them something on a phone. The young man serving was pleasant enough and the drinks fine, but this is not the image we expect from a Costa. Have never seen a car park as bad in any take away before. Very offputting and it does make you wonder how much staff care about the hygiene inside.

Really handy Costa just off the A19 roundabout at Wolviston/Wynard. There is a nice cafe but also a drive - thru. Busy December weekday morning and I pulled up at the drive thru and got out of the car to get my purse. A voice boomed "stay in the car" startled I jumped back in to see the 2 lads laughing. It made me laugh too!

always a good atmosphere at this café and excellent coffee,the atmosphere created by the staff ,who always remain cheerful,even when under pressure,and,given the popularity of the place they are often under pressure.

Went in for a hot chocolate, pot of tea and piece of cake. Nice and airy, plenty of seats. Didn't need to queue very long. Three members of staff behind the counter. Where we chose to sit needed clearing but I moved them on to another table. There was a cleaning spray bottle on another table, so I think the member of staff went to help get the queue down. Our drinks were fine, the banana and pecan loaf cake was nice although a little dry on one side, still ate it all! It's a nice place to sit with friends and family or on your own to watch passers-by! Great selection of food and drinks too. Will certainly be returning.

One of the best Costas I have been to, helpful staff. It is one of the few Costas (or other chains of coffee shop) that rolls the cups to spread the "crema" around the cup before putting the milk into cappuccinos. Usual selection of pastries, but may run out if busy.
