Good food reasonably priced. Excellent carvery on Sundays

I used to visit here a lot, when the previous staff used to work here. Seems like it's been taken over by a completey new company, that I don't even recognize. I tried their recent meals, and honestly, the quality of the food, just isn't quite up to standard, as it was, when me, and the other care home residents, used to visit. I don't think I'll be back. It's isn't the Dubliners that I remember. Also, the menu choice is a bit limited these days.

Chicken Kiev dirty chips lovely

Love the name of the pub, wasn't really keen only had 2 beers and when my hubby tried to make conversation with the bar man he was really hard work like he wasn't interested and didn't want to know

Went for Sunday lunch today it was awfully Yorkshire pudding flat has pancakes and burnt veg was raw gravy like water mint sauce no taste wouldn't recommend it to anybody waste of hard earned cash

The meat was perfectly cooked but the rest of the dinner was diabolical, I’m sorry to say but lt was awful, watery gravy and cold veg the lady next to us had a bag full of food to take home for her dog so we gave her ours .. at least it didn’t go to waste. Won be retuning was a waste of good money 🥲

Food good fair price. Bar lad in bandana not over freindly. Like usual staff encountered there.shame as alters your opinion of place.

Myself and my friend popped in one Sunday afternoon, just while we were waiting for a train at nearby Thornaby Station, and came across one of the best and friendliest pubs we'd ever been in! The roast dinner carvery was absolutely amazing, and the music (indie pop/rock, Oasis etc) was right up our street! The food portions were so generous, the food quality was first class, and everyone was so friendly! Help yourself to unlimited trimmings, and sauces! Really lovely pub, frequented by friendly locals. Two large roast dinners for £19!!! Amazing!!! Can't recommend it enough! Can't wait to go back? Five stars! Get yourself in The Dubliners! 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

Had the Sunday carvery lunch and was beautiful. The meat was lovely and tender and there was plenty of choice definitely will be back

have yet to try the new menu but the rest is on form. cant fault it. new management is obviously putting in the effort. varied nights we've yet to try but will be. so far so good.

The new menus is phenomenal If you're looking for a proper dirty burger. You have found your establishment. All dips are free. And all food is cooked to order! Suzie is usually your barmaid. She is fantastic and definitely needs praising for her upsellong. We didn't want dessert but your girl convinced us we did. We definitely recommend the steam cooked Sticky toffee pudding.

chicken dry and very greasy. jacket potato on a bed of wet yellow grease. the hot dog bun stale and hard the tea towel they were using was didgusting

Appears to have new owners and undergoing a make over. Only has two draft pumps of which neither were on. Much more friendly and less attitude thsn the previous owners. Food is good hearty British grub. Wishing the new owners every success with their venture

Nice Sunday dinner but because they were doing takeaway meals from carvery it took a while, and the " chef " wasn't the happiest person on earth.

Devastated when I got here and there wasn’t a pool table but the drinks were lovely…

Always good quality meals whenever I visit.

Visit for lunch, it was served quickly, nice and hot and tasted lovely. Service is always nice and the beer garden is nice and quiet at lunch. Have also been for evening drink and kareoke, haven't had a bad experience yet.

Great place, friendly staff quite and homely atmosphere and a fantastic cheap Sunday lunch, yep brilliant, still the best Sunday lunch in the area ☺ still the same and also cheap lovely desserts 😋

tables were full of empty dinner plates and empty glasses none of kitchen staff or person serving food wore hair nets or hats the serving counter was full of dropped food put me straiight of my lunch didnt enjoy it at all wouldnt recommend we were given one roast potato and most of yorkshire puddings were burnt bloke serving the meat also was doing takeaway dinners on his own i think it was a employer on her day of cleaned serving counter it was bad

It is a nice cosy pub but the beer prices are a bit high. £3.10 for a John Smith's when other places in the area are much cheaper.

Had Sunday dinner with 3 of my older children.. food was OK could do with a larger selection of veg and to at least put more than 1 roast potato on your plate.. nice pint to accompany dinner plates were a bit small and we noticed a few people dripping gravy walking back to seats..

Went for Sunday lunch at the carvery after finding this pub through a Google search. The staff were very friendly, the food was excellent and it was just the kind of old fashioned pub i like, flagged stone floor and no gimmicks. We will certainly be back. The price was good too, £18; for two large meals from the carvery plus our drinks. Can't go wrong.

Fantastic service throughout, booked in the beer garden Thursday 15th April. Very quickly taken to our seats by the Manager Caroline and the team were there to take our order. Clean and spacious, socially distanced plenty off heaters on the walls if it gets chilly and it was monitered through the day. The team were polite, quick and chatty, The chef worked his socks off too, not only cooking the meals but delivering them as well, (the food is delicious). Would recommend it to anyone looking for a pleasant day out.

Myself and my husband popped in for a bite to eat, we traveled from Manchester to get away for a few days we decided to stop for a bite to eat we didn't know where to go so thought we would try this place , On arrival no staff were wearing masks and also no track and trace shocking I must say, some customers where saying the food is cheap but edible, how wrong they where, we ordered the parmo my fave but obviously they didn't have a clue how to cook this, absolutey disgusting give you a tip go to Middlesbrough the best parmo you will ever taste!! Will never return back to this place again,.

Great value and great quality traditional Sunday lunches. The only down fall were the failure to display the dessert menu and the rhubarb crumbles had soft crumbs as if they had been warmed up in a microwave oven.

Quiet casual for a good drink before catching train or even to fill up on food .

They are very tight in dishing out the roast potatoes. Mashed potato was found lumpy , instead of light & fluffy. I thought the overall presentation of veg on display should be improved. However, beef and gammon were good.

Used to love the dubliners but the last few times I've been it was not as good, food quality and portions not what they used to be. Must have new owners or something as all the staff have changed and debit card transactions show as some obscure pub in Durham City.
