Welcoming reception when you walk in and good food dogs alowed and a good children's play area if raining paper and crayons really friendly

Visited the George and Dragon to use hubby's free birthday drink and had a voucher for money off food also which came in handy . The pub was but warm and welcoming . We were served by Ash and Karlee who were very pleasant ,chatty and nothing was any trouble. Hubby ordered a crazy chicken burger with chips . He said it was lovely ,he doesn't normally eat burgers but thoroughly enjoyed it and the chips tasted nice as well . I ordered lasagne which was served with 2 slices of garlic bread and a huge salad which was presented well,normally pub salad is abit of garnish . The lasagne wasn't a huge portion but was lovely . Everything was perfect for an afternoon out visiting the pub .

Over from Belfast, great pub grub and atmosphere. Staff were very friendly, checking we had everything we needed. Excellent pint of Guinness 👍

This spot is great for a quick, tasty lunch, hospitably served. I dropped by for a New Year's Day meal, which was very nice, well-served.

Nice pub with plenty of seating and a very friendly and chatty member of staff behind the bar. Some beers on cask.

Staying near by and popped into this pub for a bit of pub lunch. The service was very welcoming the drinks was very nice and the food was good value for money. The reason for this review is because when you go somewhere and are made to feel very welcome sometimes this is all you need. Will come visit again thanks Adam and Karlee

Popped in here with my ma for some lunch, food and service were incredible, from explaining how the meals come, allergens, and making the best cup of tea! Jonny was friendly, knowledgeable and brilliant 😄 we had the chilli cheese garlic bites and the crazy chicken burgers and was hot, tasty and portion was big.

went in for lunch today at 12-30 with hubs & dog after been to preston park for walk . Pub was reasonably quiet but nice and chilled . I had the curry and hubs had the bangers n mash ,both meals served quick and both lovely .Staff both very attentive and friendly . Service with a smile is what you get 😜Will definately return in the near future .

Absolutely brilliant service from Adam, Ash & Sarah. Nothing was a bother to them. Food was reasonably priced, warm and filling. Service was excellent with brilliant manners, politeness and smiles. Will definitely return.

me and friends first time visiting yarm and we decided to have a spot of lunch at the george and dragon. we were served by a lovely man named Jonny he was so attentive and really warming would recommend as the atmosphere service and food was amazing

After a hard day guarding my dads work van while he cracks on. There's only one place i like to go for my chicken: The George love Huey ( the dog )

Very disappointing food for light lunch - the Crispy Coated Prawns with spicy mayo coat £7.99 and there were only 5 prawns on a large bowl full of old brown tinged lettuce leaves (and a small pot of spicy mayo) Definitely poor value. Jacket Potato with BBQ Pulled Chicken slightly better. The buttery potato was nice. However the chicken was not “pulled” nor barbecued. It was small slices daubed with bbq sauce. Sorry to say we would not return, although the staff were cheery and friendly.

A great place to grab a drink and a bite to eat. Lovely staff and nice atmosphere. Plenty of screens to watch the football on and a nice beer garden to sit in during the summer.

Beer fine. Bar snacks fine. Not being allowed to give your two year old daughter a snack you brought with you when you've bought beer and adult snacks from the pub not fine. On a Monday afternoon when the pub was dead. To then be told off for doing so anyway is incredibly patronising.. Doesn't make me want to return. Back to the Bull I guess.

Went here for tea earlier with my family and have got to say can’t fault it. As soon as I walked in was greated with smiles. Ordered drinks at the bar then sat and had some food. Can’t complain food was nice, Staff were lovely and the atmosphere overall was brilliant. Thankyou to karlee and Katie for a wonderful experience.

Had a great lunch full of flavour, very good friendly team, shout out to Ash Sophie and Karlee, nice dog friendly beer garden. We will return.

Staff are very friendly here! My favourite food is the bbq cauliflower wings! Even the staff know how much I love them that when they came back on the menu one lady came out of her way to let me know!

Always call in whilst in Yarm. Lovely little pub loads of TV's for sport. Dog friendly and always warm and welcoming. Shout out to the staff Sarah and Ash and the parmo was lovely

Well worth a visit. Friendly staff who all went out of their way to be helpful. Didn't have to queue and service with a smile. Considering its Yarm the the drinks were reasonably priced. Adam, Steph ( plus bump ), and Graeme thanks for the warm welcome.

Thank you to all the staff at the George and dragon, me and a party of 8 had our evening meal and drinks, the service was excellent we were seated promptly, the staff were so accommodating even though we had a small child throwing a tantrum, one of the staff quickly put him at ease with a lollipop and the locals were very understanding just and I quote” don’t worry we’ve all been through it” which put us at ease, the food came out at a reasonable time due to the amount of people in and was hot,well presented and as it was described, all in all a great pub in a great location.

My husband and myself called in for a few evening drinks yesterday evening.(27,10,23) we have been before but never had food , so decided to order the parmos, we didn't have to wait long at all, food was beautiful, service was excellent, atmosphere was really nice and calm, can honestly say my husband and myself will be returning for drinks and meals in the very near future. I am from Manchester, my Son lives in Yarm, this pub is our go to place, the food is varied, tasty and prices are reasonable too. Fantastic atmosphere, great outside space, you'd never guess it's on a high street, great friendly and always helpful staff .. 🥰

Recently decided to visit the George & Dragon in Yarm this afternoon for a few social ones and a bite to eat. I ordered the bacon and cheese burger meal along with a pint of Madri and over all it was great. The staff were very friendly and helpful with my food allergy requirements. I was served by Sarah & Adam. I would recommend and certainly be visiting again.

Dated, needs to be brightened up. It's not had any updating for many, many years.

Went for Sunday Dinner, absolutely amazing best Sunday dinner had in a long time! Wish I would of known they served Sunday dinners sooner! Staff also very friendly

Jonny and Sarah were great. I needed a gluten free meal and they were helpful not only providing the NCGI menu but also Offering other alternatives. It was a lovely atmosphere so we stayed and had a lovely meal.

I came here with friends on Saturday around 11.20pm where we were refused entry by the door staff, I asked why and was told they were closed. I find this quite strange as it states on your website you close at 12. Very disappointed we were not the only people being turned away.

A fantastic place and also dog friendly, nothing is too much. Very impressed with the service. Food excellent and a good price, nothing left on the plate. 5*

Popped in today for a bite to eat. Drink and fishfinger sandwich went down a treat! Jonny served us with a smile and made sure we had what we needed. He told us Karlee made our sandwiches so pat on the back to her. Will go back soon!

Simple but delicious menu. Ordered the 3 bean chilli burger with waffle fries and Mac and cheese. So tasty. Hubby forgot to order my Mac, So cheesy. Sorted out in a trice. Salad fresh and beautiful dressing. Friendly service, and with a cozy atmosphere. Will definitely return. Highly recommend this place to eat.

Service was great very polite and professional, food was quick but also very nice and well priced. Overall would recommend to anyone in the area wanting some nice food in a nice environment.

My wife, son and myself, visited the George and Dragon Pub/Restaurant on Wednesday 24th of October 2022 and were delighted with the warm and friendly welcome and service we received from Jonny and Karlee. After reading the menu, and choosing our meals, again delighted with...

Only a couple of other people in when we visited so it was easy to find a good seat. Looking out to the garden it looked large and well kept .There were also plenty of tv's to watch the football on. We had a burger and a wrap which were both nice. They two ladies on duty were really nice and welcoming.
