This was my third visit to this place, and yet again, I left disappointed. I won't be coming back. I had the weakest, most bland flat white I've ever tasted. When you're paying over £3.50 for a coffee, it should be top-notch barista quality, but this was far from it. They call themselves a coffee shop, which is honestly laughable. I've had better coffee in a greast spoon (which is saying something) The prices are outrageous for what you get, especially considering the portion sizes. Since working in Stockton, I've consistently had the smallest portions from this place. I've always left hungry and never remotely satisfied. Coffee - Terrible (How much for a splash of milk and a few grams ofcoffee???) Food - mid to low quality ingredients, small portions, expensive.

Popped in for a coffee. Cappachino was very good. The bloke serving was the owner and was very polite and chatty. Really enjoyed the coffee. Would recommend.

The worst, and I mean the worst, flat white I have ever been served in my life. It doesn’t even come close to tasting like coffee just overheated milk, ashy tasting diluted bean water. £3.60 for the privilege of being served hot bubbly milk.

I am very disappointed, paid more than 10£ for what I get (really small portion) and not very good quality. (wish I could order from somewhere else instead) not worth the money you pay at all

the food was absolutely amazing 😍 bacon sarnie cooked perfectly and the carrot cake was the best I've ever had. food was a bit late but I understand it was ordered at a busy time / there might not have been any delivery drivers. overall I definitely will be ordering again thank you

I had seen some lovely stories online about this place, as an aussie in the UK, it is so hard to find a decent coffee or brunch place here around North East England. So i thought i would give it a go for my Birthday Brunch... The atmosphere was lovely, i liked the look of it all, staff were very very friendly and I was happy to see they had an espresso machine. I ordered scrambled eggs on toast and added bacon, avocado & hash brown with a Cappuccino. Well, the coffee itself was lovely, i did miss the chocolate on top. The eggs were nice & fluffed, the avo didn't taste that great but it was edible. Hash brown was unfortunately not crispy, bacon was delish & i do not understand why i had a portion of Coleslaw on my plate, that was definitely interesting and nothing that I'm used to... All in all, it was different but much better than what i have had during my time over here, so that's a plus.

I thought the food were decent here however the portion sizes are small compared to other places and it's slightly more expensive.

Visited the coffee bar recently, and although the interior of this place is lovely, the service wasn’t — Ordered a large tea and a latte to takeaway and was told everything is one size… I would have paid more for a large cup. Coffee was okay; with the tea it would be nice to have somewhere to actually let it brew and get rid of the tea bag as I had to stand at the counter and ask to put it in the bin which wasn’t great, especially when the manager was swatting flies on it. They had no skimmed milk and the coffee cup lids leaked when you took a drink. Considering this place is next to Starbucks, I was expecting a lot more than this.

Super friendly. They made my wife's favourite eggs Benedict to take out and iced coffee was rich and delicious. Bacon was crispy and sauce was delicious. Brilliant

Such welcoming staff, nice food and cuppas aren't too bad either.

Unfortunately we were very disappointed in our experience here. The first issue was that our 'iced' coffees arrived and they were very warm, essentially it was like drinking a cup of coffee which had been left to go luke warm, so much so that the small amount of ice melted immediately. This was worsened by the fact that they were served in tall sundae style glasses, one of which had two large chips in the rim. I complained about the coffee being warm and I was offered replacement drinks which was appreciated, apart from the fact that my replacement arrived in the exact same chipped glass. We ordered food with the coffees, a scone and a bacon sandwich; the scone was served with no cutlery, butter or even a napkin, essentially just plonked on a plate leaving us having to ask for the aforementioned accoutrements. After waiting for roughly 15 mins while the drinks debacle was happening, it transpired that the bacon sandwich order hadn't even been received by the kitchen yet due to the quality or the server's handwriting which added yet more wait time. To cap off the whole experience, one of the staff began mopping the floor while we were eating using a mixture with lots of bleach and disinfectant, making the whole café smell strongly of cleaning products and putting us off the food. Credit where it's due, the older lady who was running the kitchen did apologize to us and seemed to be trying to regain control of the café which had a total of 4 occupied tables with 3 staff, leading us to wonder why the wait time was so long for anything. In terms of pricing, a basic Americano or iced latte was £3.60 which is quite a lot, considering the service we received. When the sandwich arrived it was cooked well and met expectations and the scone was of a good quality, although we noticed that the muffins on offer were from Costco. All in all I wouldn't recommend this café and would suggest a visit to Starbucks nextdoor if you're in the area.

We got there at 3pm so there wasn't much left, which is to be expected. I had a ham & cheese toastie the ham in the toastie was cheap stuff. At 5.60 I thought the quality was below par. However the service was perfect the lady who served us was friendly and helpful.

I can't fault the service, which was excellent. But I'm afraid that I feel for what we got, which was really just two toasties, one small cupcake and two cups of tea, which at £20 I think is a tad overpriced. Only my opinion I hasten to add 😁😁

After the absolute mayhem of Jump 360 this is a fabulous wee place to put your weans in the corner and have a quiet toastie and tea.

First time here. Came with friends. I had eggs royale,muffins poached eggs bacon and salmon slices with hollandaise sauce. Eggs cooked to perfection,very filling. Staff very friendly.

Breakfast set at one price no reduction for less items. When served the eggs wanted to be left in the pan longer, the toast was just buttered bread and in all the breakfast was only warm.

Drinks - Americano tasted like low quality filter coffee. It comes in mugs as well, rather than coffee cups. Food - Had egg and avocado on toast. The avocado was the terrible shop bought and paste like stuff. The bread was just cheap sliced bread from a packet. Atmosphere - Tables were tacky, and it has a confusing decor. Not cohesive. Price - average, but not worth it. Go to Daisy Chain, Starbucks or Asda instead.

Looks pretty, but expensive and the food wasn't the best for the price that was paid if I'm honest. That was some dry carrot cake, but maybe because the heat was insane.

Lovely little café right off Portrack Lane. Great place to take a breather and watch the world drive by. Friendly staff, serving drinks and sweet treats. Reasonable value and fast service. A way better experience compared to the Starbucks next door and i would choose Barwicks each and every time.

Coffee is expensive, their was 1 staff working and honestly.... paying £3.40 for a Latte to be waiting around for 5 to 10 minutes isn't worth it, even Starbucks next door has more staff and the same expensive drinks! Extreamly disappointed on the first visit, bought the coffee and honestly never got to drink it - 1 Star, would of been 2 for a friendly staff member, however it needs to be addressed so thus the 1. Came in here for a coffee, not to see a staff member exhausting herself, absolute wait service and I ain't a huge fan of Que and Answers (Q&A).

Upon arrival we were not greeted so we did not know if we had to wait to be seated or just choose a seat. After asking we were told to choose a seat and come to the bar to order. There was only one menu which was on the chalk board above the till so it was hard to see the menu from where we were sat. We paid £4 per hot drink and when they came they were all cold. We complained and got new drinks which were slightly hotter but still not quite to standard. We ordered 3 meals and 1 arrived after 15 minutes after ordering. I thought I’d wait for everyone else’s food to arrive but after 5 minutes there was no sign of anyone else’s food. I then decided to eat mine as it was getting cold. I got a breakfast sandwich which had sausage, egg and cheese in it. I paid £2 extra for added bacon. When I received my sandwich there was only 1 fatty piece of bacon which I didn’t think was worth the £2 I paid. After I had finished my food the woman cleared my plate then brought out another plate of food for someone else. Another 5 minutes later the final plate of food arrived so I was sat watching 2 other people eating which I would’ve preferred all the food to come together. I won’t be coming back as I don’t think it was worth the £40 I paid for it.

Decided to go and support local business as we had visited a few times before COVID. Ordered two cheese and ham toasties, the cheese was what I call'plastic cheese", the coleslaw was cheap and nasty.The teas were fine and the carrot cake was lovely. We asked for toast they didn't have any white bread and charged£2 for two slices, extortionate I think. Very disappointed.

We use Barwicks quite regularly, always the staff helpful and friendly. Nice place for a lite lunch, or a piece of cake and a lovely cup of coffee. Give it a try. Anyone know if it is opening again after lock down, I'm missing it so have to go to Starbucks instead.

Lovely cafe. Delicious bacon sandwich and latte. So nice to find somewhere where dogs are made so welcome.

Called for breakfast on Saturday 7th March. I had bacon bun, my husband had breakfast panini and both were very nice. The bacon was done to how I like it. A good cup of tea also. Service was great and with a smile. Atmosphere relaxed, so an enjoyable visit.

I had the meatball panini which came with crisps and salad and a cappuccino which were both delicious. It was great value for money and there was plenty of choice of paninis as well as other sandwiches, toasties and jacket potatoes. Staff were very friendly too and the cafe is clean and airy. I'll definitely visit again.

Very nice cosy cafe with a variety of snacks and cakes. Didn't realise it was here, right next to Starbucks but dog friendly and convenient for our stay at the caravan park as walkable distance. Will definitely visit again.

Great frappe and food but 30min wait on food

Coffee is excellent, had baked potatoe with chicken mayonnaise. Came with salad was really nice. Much better than going to crap like commercialised crap costa and all the other chains. You want good food and coffee find an independent coffee shop like this.

This is a lovely, little, very reasonably priced café. The staff are lovely and the place is clean and cosy. Can't really ask for any more from a coffee shop to drop in on lunch for a quick drink with a friend.

Visited this coffee shop this week and found it to be very nice. It has a relaxing atmosphere with friendly staff. Prices are very good and food was very nice too. Well worth a visit.

Food was fine but furniture needs replacing, plastic table tops need replacing as hot cups teapots and plates stick to the table which can be quite dangerous when trying to lift a teapot.

Nice little cafe over at Portrack, little suntrap inside. They do scones, cake, jacket potatoes, sandwiches and toasties all at decent prices. They do range of shakes as well as tea and coffees. Service was pleasant
