Took our grandson for his 1st driving experience in a car & the staff were fantastic in making his birthday treat a day to remember!

Perhaps because of the time of year unless you booked hospitality the park only had one eating outlet (no chips available) so the food was very disappointing as it wasn't what we wanted and there was very little choice, other than that we enjoyed the day.

Beautiful place and very Good Racing

Staff are very well organised, welcoming and helpful from the minute you pull onto the carpark. Highly recommended for business events.

They restricted access for the visitors so while it should have been big enough to not feel crowded, everyone with a ticket was funnelled into the small area near the stands and paddock. The children's play part was closed and this wasn't advertised clearly on the website, so disappointment for the children expecting to use the play area. Considering we go to the races for a family day out, we expected better. The day was OK, clean facilities. Not enough seating indoors or outdoors as people will block off entire aisles of seats in the stands. Inside there were groups of people sitting at all the tables so if you aren't there hours early to get your 'spot' you won't have much chance getting sat down inside -even if you paid for the privilege of access to the next floor. The food was nice but overpriced (£30+ for a burger, a hotdog and 2 nonalcoholic drinks) A disappointing day overall. Had a much nicer time at smaller racecourses such as Market Rasen (no stands there, but lots of interesting races to watch)

Love this place great people to talk to

My favourite racecourse. Free parking and loads of it, easy to get in and out. Plenty of space at the racecourse even with a large crowd. Always watch from the far end near the parade ring. plenty of choices for drinks, food etc. Good clear tannoy, decent large screen and you can access wifi without being blocked like at other race courses. Been many times and will continue to visit.

Took a coach load over, had a brilliant day

We have been here before the food and staff were really friendly We went today sadly I can not say the something: We arrived and waited to be seated unfortunately we were totally ignored by the 2 girls who were on the floor, they walked passed us several times without even saying anything, 5 minutes passed I had to ask if we could be seated, to be told they were fully booked, that wasnt a problem it's the fact we were ignored. very rude and unprofessional

I work here and its such a joy to come to work. I love meeting all the guests and in such lovely surroundings.

Poor atmosphere and a cramped venue

If you need to relax and enjoy horse racing this is the place to be

Hospitality suite, need I say more, staff very friendly had a great day.

My nephew loved it and learned alot in half an hour, we've booked again for an hour and he can't wait, very good instructor and he learnt really fast already and he's only 12, we bought the recording too which is great.

Excellent food facilities, parking. Good staff.

Apart from the drug dog mistaking my sausage and bacon sandwiches in my rucksack for drugs was a great day 😁

Beautiful racecourse, we love a day at the races, my husband needs to use a lift and we were directed to a lift but treated like lepers because we were in the members lift. Very unhappy about this treatment. Eventually we were shown to our seating by a manager, she did apologise. Food was nice.

Great race course, friendly staff, beers bit expensive but expected from a race course

Had a fabulous night. Make sure you take a bank card with you. New experience having a bet on the horses 🐎 Music was fantastic.

A great day out, but the prices are inflated once inside.

Went to see Earth Wind & Fire play after the races so did not do a full day. Free parking. Lots of food & drinks stalls ( card only payments) no cash accepted & expensive. Pint of lager £7. Small tea £3. Can get very breezy at the night due to open air, that said, keep dancing & you wont notice! Happy to see EWF still top of the bands after all these years!!

50 of us went to ladies day yesterday, brilliant day had by all. Only thing i would say is food n drink seem expensive. Music tent behind grandstand was brilliant 👍 c u next year

Was a brilliant day out bar staff we good , the racing was good , cash to bet but that's ok the first race paid for the whole day , would definitely recommend.

Didn’t find one winner but thanks to Racing U.K., I got two free tickets, weather was brilliant had a great day Racecourse staff really bend over backwards to help you. Thank You Haydock.

Great place great day bit pricey but hey ho thats racing .

Usually have a good day at Haydock but this was a disappointing visit we got stuck in traffic getting there so we were running late to get in for the first race . Had to pay parking at the track for the first time which held us up because it was card only the hand held machine took a while to work . Meeting got abandoned after 3rd race .Hopefully better experience next time

Overly expensive food and drink

Went for a days racing and have to say this is now one of our favourite racecourses. The grounds and the course are beautifully kept, the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, lots of trees and bushes in the grounds providing shade and shelter. It was also pretty much access all areas. No loutish (drunk) youngsters, in fact a mature crowd generally. The bigger venues could learn a thing or two from this place. Well done, and Thankyou!

All round excellent Racecourse clean tidy surroundings. All the staff I came into contact with on the day I visited this course presented themselves with an all round polite & professional approach to whatever their job role involved and they where always all willing to help with anything I asked or requested from them 😊🌟

Beautiful environment and clean place

Enjoyed today, beer and food a bit on the pricey side, but had a good day.

Went to get some food from the bar, checked the menu and a buffalo chicken burger was £9.50. Thought it was a bit pricey but fair enough, so asked for it, and it seemed somewhat appetising, until I got to the till. £12.95! What? So I told him that the price was wrong, and he insisted it was right. I went back to the menu, and as I got back to it, it was being switched out by a seemingly more senior staff member. I called her out, saying I ordered from the old menu, but she said the old menu didn't have any prices on it so it needed swapping. And she totally gaslit me because in the moment I believed her and paid for the burger! Then checked with some family who took a photo of the old menu with different prices on it. All in all I actually had quite a good day but the £3.45 lost to this (honestly, quite mediocre) meal stewed in me for the rest of the day. So hopefully this 1-star review will have some impact, or at least give someone a little laugh. I will immediately switch my review to 5* upon receipt of the £3.45 I was tricked out of!

I recently visited Haydock Racecourse to watch the Euros final, and despite the disappointing outcome for England, my experience was nothing short of exceptional. The professionalism exhibited by the staff was truly impressive. From the moment we arrived, the security team managed the crowds efficiently and courteously, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment. Their presence was reassuring without being intrusive, which set a positive tone for the evening. The bar staff also deserve commendation. Despite the high volume of attendees and the palpable excitement in the air, they remained calm, friendly, and efficient. Service was quick and the staff maintained a cheerful demeanor throughout the event, contributing significantly to the overall enjoyment. Overall, Haydock Racecourse provided a fantastic venue for watching the Euros final. The level of professionalism from all staff members, both security and bar staff, was outstanding. Their efforts ensured that even in the face of England's loss, we had a memorable and enjoyable experience. Highly recommended!

Went to see a truck show. It was OK plenty of trucks to see and lots of space. Not much else to see there was a monster tuck experience and some poor entertainment for the kids with some mini fair rides. There was a little food area and plenty of loos dotted about. The race grounds looked well kept but can't comment on the place itself.

Attended today for Newton Cup meeting as I have for the last 15 years. Bet on the first three races after very long waits between each race. Picked 6 horses for the Newton Cup race then to be told the race was off and only 1 more race to bet on. What a complete shambles was this because not enough punters placing bets due to bad weather and football on at 5. Punters have to accept good betting days and bad ones so should the bookmaking fraternity. What is usually a great day out totally ruined.0

12 quid for a hamburger 7 quid for a pint 1.5 hours to get out the car park.

Enjoyed the day. But prosecco extortionate. Great going I'm but be warned coming out a nightmare. We had to walk for ages to get back on the minibus . They let them in but not to pick you up. Last time we drove and that was a nightmare as well to gey off. Spoils what was a good but expensive day out. Sort it out Haydock the organisation abysmal for leaving.

Horrific!! Had to wait over half an hour at every bar and then another half an hour to queue for the ladies toilets. It has put me off going again and i have been many times and this is the worst i have ever seen it. Missed 2 races and last half hour of the music because of the queue's. Also full of 'kids' aged 12-17 who had obviously sneaked alcohol in (witnessed hip flasks/pouches) who with sun combined couldn't take their ale, yes we've prob all done it when we were younger but never went to an event like this and did it to then spoil it for all the full paying adults. Sort itout Haydock/Jockey club or your music nights are going to turn into messy youth clubs.

Traffic around venue is pathetic. Ended up walking from East Lancs Road cause cars not moving. Bar Service is terribly slow and at £6.50 for a small can of Kopparberg or Gin & tonic in a can is ridiculous. Racing was okay, not the best field, but thats typical for an evening meet. Pete Tong Dance Anthems was good, music good, set up good, speakers good. Shame such a strict 22.30 cut off time,

Fabulous day for my granddaughters hen party a good time was had by all.

I would give this 5 stars if the food facilites were not unreasonablily expensive. You aren't in the amazon rainforest. Sort it out.

Fantastic day out really enjoyed with a group of friends.

We regularly visit Haydock racecourse with our daughter. The layout allows us to easily see the horses in the parade ring before the race, watch the race from the stand and back across to see them showered(daughters favorite thing to see). There are plenty of bars for drinks, space for people to congregate. This year we plan to visit many more racecourses so be interested to see how compares.

Visited on Saturday lunchtime with friends. The staff were friendly and despite it being a Saturday, they didn’t hurry us at all. I had halloumi salad, which was delicious. Plenty of halloumi, full of chargrilled veg and a light lemon and herb dressing. However I personally would have like a few more olives! The only disappointing thing was the flat bread on the sweet potato falafel salad. It was very doughy, and not at all like a flatbread. The Greek lemonade was lovely and the coffee as always nice and hot and creamy. It’s been a long time since my last visit, but will definitely be visiting again soon. Thank you

Food always lovely massive down side is for a very classy and pricy place they allow dogs in, getting fed at tables and jumping up at tables, absolutely discussing, very unhygienic and very off putting, I hope the table got well disinfected as it had dog paws and drool on it, so disappointing

Drink prices are ridiculous. And you get a paper cup! It's so classy.

Great racecourse. Plenty of bars and places to get food Staff are polite and offer a good friendly. Service. Prices on the drinks are expensive. I'm sure more people would attend the races if prices were a bit lower.

Not great food !! chicken was not breast meat cheap thigh meat tough !! Poor for the price !! Expensive!! Staff looked unhappy ☹️ Such a shame !! Coffee / tea good scones and cake good Atmosphere poor !!

Great race day. Plenty of staff to help. Seating area in County Enclosure is superb. Drinks are pricey (£16.25 for pint of Worthington, pint of Madri and can of coke zero). Ample parking. Cheaper to book tickets in advance (we paid £22 each in advance, but £27 on the day)

If I read this right. The clerk of the course watered the racecourse on Tuesday. Weather forecast torrential rain, how thick is that. And they still have a job. This person needs a job as a politician. Idiotic to say the least

Great experience and hospitality

What a fantastic lunch experience! We were a party of four and although I only indulged in one of their very famous spicy and very fruity Teacakes followed by the most tasty Apple and Rhubarb crumble, the rest of my party chose a delicious looking curry. They thoroughly enjoyed the curry and commented on how lovely the flatbread complimented their meal. The service was magnificent led by the superb manager Maxine ably assisted by her very attentive & efficient team.

Very friendly, cheerful stewards. Good priced food and drink. Best to get your tickets from the touts on the car park, cheaper than paying on the gate.

Dinosaur costume and fun animal display for children. Food and drinks were VERY expensive. £9 for 3 chicken goujons and a small portion of chips. Well organised parking on entry and exit.

I like it. Well laid out, clean, family friendly, large parking space too and load of places to drink and drink eat. It's easy to connect the highway to and from Manchester and Liverpool.

Love the place but they need to do more to keep drugs out

Great Day out and even the rain could not stop us enjoying ourselves. However the recent move to charging £5 to park your car is nothing short of greed. This needs rectifying ASAP or attendance will fall. Its not that there are alternatives so it's frustrating knowing you are over a barrel. Please Haydock reconsider this shocking move and appreciate your loyal spectators (Customers).

Lovely day, booked a little belated anniversary treat in The Park Suite, service was fantastic, perfect location right over the finish line, food lovely however the main was a little dry, obviously had been kept warm for some time. Would definitely go again!

The virgin bet grand national trials day was absolute rubbish, atmosphere was dull, nothing to make the meeting entertaining, the calibre of races was awful, the lift in the centenary stand are shocking, doors kept closing within seconds and never gave my wife enough time to exit on her mobility scooter, she actually at one point got trapped in there.overall it was an absolute awful meeting.

It's a good course but now jumping on the bandwagon of charging £5 to park in 2024. We used to be able to say it's free to park at the races but this is a slippery slope with the aim of profiteering. Shame on you Haydock!

Had the best day at Haydock park. Can't beat a good day at the races especially when you're in hospitality. The Park suite was amazing...in fact the whole race course was fab. Carol singers, brass band, snow machine. Great atmosphere, great racing. Food and service was excellent, 10 out of 10.

Went to a Xmas party night (James bond themed). Food was lovely, not like usual Xmas do food. There was a live band that kept the dance floor filled. Great night had by all.

Disgraceful place. Staff - Rude. Card payments ONLY for food and drink - Pathetic. Not been to a race meeting for a couple of years now, my mother used to be an on course bookmaker and she would be turning in her grave if she could see this place now. Shall NEVER return to Haydock racecourse again. If I could I'd give this place NO STARS !

Great day out for all the family

Staff were continually keeping the place clean picking up litter. Toilets were clean, the bars were quite busy but competent bar staff served you quickly. Good quality racing ans a few winners and leaving in profit is always welcomed.

Full of sweaty Scousers who all think they are Al Capone spending their giros, then causing fights. Used be a decent day, wouldn't bother these days, ruined by curly haired chavs from Liverpool.

Went to the nort West carp show that was held hear It was a great day out loads off parking Toilets also disabled entrance and toilets aswell and disabled parking

Shocking the security chack me every time I go (been 7 times in total) and each time the security treat me with no respect and is treating towards gusts also emailed them about it and never got back to me

Yes. Was a good day and got some bargains. Food was a little expensive and took cards only, some of my friends only had cash and the toilets was too far away. I do think the show should be open to course fishing also. The people on the Sonic stand was the best in my opinion. Would definitely go again

Well what can I say not one to ever complain but bar staff out of there depth service wise burgers plain £11.50 really disappointed with venue totally they need a beer bar section where someone is only pulling beers speed things up at least 2 members of there team I showed how to pull a pint as I was one of first at the bar maybe the jockey club should be called the joke club we also had two 16 year olds with us who had free ticket which you don't get a tie on badge for and I had to be force full with the person at the door and say this is how it works that shows me there's no training or communication being told they could not enter was embarrassing for them with lots of people behind us... but I enjoyed myself as did group come on people in charge please please make it somewhere worth visiting
