Morrisons in Stockton-on-Tees

Ordered the Meatball Marinara Melt and it came out burnt. Was very excited for it aswell, very disappointed in Morrisons!

Absolutely disgusting coffee was sour, jacket potato returned as it was not cooked properly. Refund given. My child had a kids meal chips were covered in black bits due to fryers being dirty and in urgent need of a clean. Staff were rude, do not eat here avoid at all costs. Lots of things unavailable and out of order, dirty cutlery and no straws for drinks!

This place is chaos, the staff have no direction or effective supervision. The floors, tables and cutlery are filthy. The wait for food is forever and then told that some item's are unavailable...like white bread !! (It's a shame there wasn't a supermarket near).

Dirty restaurant tables never cleaned and food was terrible, pieces of bone in sausage and chips disgusting.

Absolutely disgusting. Needs closing down. No coffee machines offered a cup of Morrisons own cheap coffee as alternative. No fish, no sandwiches absolute joke. Had to go hunt for cutlery as out the full basket not one piece was clean. The entire place is filthy. Sticky tables and food on the floors. Avoid at all costs.

Fortunately I like cremated sausage! Cutlery still had food on it. Hopefully the plates were clean. Tables not cleaned, floor slippery. No glasses for cold drinks. Service poor- don’t throw the plates onto the table. Won’t be back to this branch

Came for a meal, only to be told they had run out of chips and naan bread and this was mid afternoon with only 4 people dining. Half the seating area was taped off for no apparent reason. Staff not overly friendly/welcoming which is a complete contrast to the last time when the gentleman was absolutely superb. The signage on the meal ordering machine said closed plus there were no visible staff on arrival. Just received our meals and very disappointed in the chicken tikka, 4 small pieces of chicken and minimal rice. Poor value for money. Sort it out Management or you’ll lose a lot of your customers!

We were assisted by two very helpful staff members in the cafe, Alan and Paul. They couldn't do enough and made us feel welcome and special. Well done 👍

Me, my husband and our 1 year old visited this cafe last weekend in hope of a quick lunch before Christmas shopping. Kids eat free and with a fussy toddler this seemed great. We ordered our food and along with many other customers, we were left waiting for an hour!!! It was a whole hour until our food turned up. Our toddler was starving and very fussy by this point, anyone with kids will know the struggle and we had exhausted all avenues of entertainment by then. We were also hungry and disappointed our shopping trip had been cut short as we had spent so much time waiting. When the food eventually came, the waiter not only couldn’t find our table and sent the food back to the kitchen but then when they did find it, there was no apology for the wait! The staff looked like headless chickens without a clue what they were doing and there was a clear lack of leadership. Two members looked like they had just rolled out of bed and another just could not care less about the customers. The man behind the till looked completely overwhelmed. The cafe was particularly busy but not packed. However, if the cafe is struggling with demand, would it not be best to place a sign at the door like fellow competitor Asda does, saying the cafe is closed until 2pm for example when it needs time to catch up?? We didn’t expect perfection but we expected decent service and decent food but we got neither. You’ve lost our custom.

Really rude staff and management. Made u feel really uncomfortable asking for help to locate things. I would never recommend anyone to shop in this particular Morrisons store.

Arrived 13:15 on a Saturday afternoon. Qued to place order at terminal. All the trays available were wet and filthy...got to the till and told 20 min wait for food. No ground coffee availabe. Most tables were still full of previous debris from customers, no one was clearing tables. We found a partially empty table top to sit at. Had to wipe it down ourselves... cuttlery had only two knives and loads of forks and spoons, all very dirty...we had to clean them ourselves. Poached egg and avacado, was hard boiled egg on toast wiped with avacado. At least the bacon roll had a generous portion of bacon. It will be a very long time before we might look back in...very, very poor..

Really good tasty fish and chips. Good service, clean restaurant. Reasonable cheap prices. Certainly would recommend.

Went for lunch after doing shopping very clean and spacious ,staff very friendly no worries at all well looked after .

Omg I ordered some food for myself my mother and my daughters! But I ended up getting one plate missing! One of my daughters were starving! And she got no food we were there for about 20m before she got food do not come! Plus we asked them for the missing dish

Lovely customer service and treated everyone with kindness and respect! Especially during these hard times, still served with a smile.

Absolutely appalling! Walked in to plates on every table and left there for the whole time I was in (45minutes at least) everywhere dirty! Not one member of staff cleaning up, and everyone looking like they don’t know what they are doing!! Shocking. Food was burnt and when asked for some napkins I got told to go find some!!

Recently visited this supermarket. cafe, it was so awful. Firstly it took me ten minutes trying to find some clean cutlery, then we went for the big breakfast! Everything was awful, the hash browns were burnt, the bacon sausage and mushrooms were stone cold, the only thing that was ok was the egg on the top that was warm and the toast was fresh with butter. Think I would have been happy had I just opted for the toast and egg, the bacon was like leather I think maybe the food is cooked and warmed for service. Would not go back.

The cafe is located in the corner of an enormous store. The layout is good and everything is provided once you pay for your meal, though we used the last of the orange juice from the dispenser. My mam and I both sat down to a gammon, egg and chips meal but were underwhelmed as the gammon was different to the ones I've had before - it seemed under cooked and hard to chew. The rest of the meal was average, though it was useful to have this place to hand on the way home from a 1 night stay in North Yorkshire.

Called in for a bite to eat with my granddaughter, we both got sandwiches, granddaughter got a slush and I had a coffee, food and drink were reasonably priced. the main problem was all the coffee/tea cups/mugs were stained and this was the case the last time we were here, it was as though the dishwasher was not on a good enough cycle or poor dishwasher tablets. While we were there someone spilt some lemonade and the cashier took ages to get someone's attention to clean it up, when she told him he sort of ignored her and was cleaning tables when there was a slipping hazard.

We’ve been before and similar issues persist.The cleaning and tidying is very poor, even when tables are cleared mess remains on the floor, chairs scattered, trays abandoned. There seem to be plenty of staff but there is a definite lack of umph! I was also disconcerted to see food carried on trays by staff with a great big thumb on the customers plate to maintain the balance. I understand the reasoning, but I don’t like your thumb on my plate!We had scrambled eggs and the small breakfast. The scrambled eggs were perfect!The small breakfast was good value, the egg was poached perfectly. The bacon was good if too fatty, but the beans were cold, and uncooked, as though straight from the pan.If we are back it will be for eggs onlyDisability access is very good.

The cafe is very average. Food is basic but was warm so a plus point. Good variety of drink and food. Not bad for budget

Stopped for bacon sarnie and coffee with Mother in Law. Picked up mugs for coffee and ordered at till.....had to go to coffee machine and serve ourselves, not possible as both machines empty, asked for them to be refilled and was pushed out of the way by a particularly unpleasant assistant. Had to clear a table to sit down and then waited 15 mins for cold bacon sarnie to arrive.....left distinctly under impressed and will not return.

5.75 isnt a massive amount to pay for a 'christmas dinner' but to have various items missing is a shambles. It was only when I checked the menu that I realised they had either forgotton 50pc of the meal or realised and not said anything..To add insult to injury, the shelf edges which displayed a favourable price for the customer were 'accidentally' put in front of the wrong product,, so I ended up paying twice the price i thought was advertised.I know this may appear pedantic but Im not made of money and dont expect to be ripped off at my local supermarket.

" FAST FOOD " Attended Morrisons for a breakfast bun, ordered at 1st till, stood in queue waiting to move forward to pay for said food and staff walk out from kitchen with our ordered food, we hadn't reached point of payment OR found a table. The mushrooms were in a BOWL NOT in the sandwich. By the time we paid and found a table the food was cold. I sat and watched staff bring several trays of food out for people still in the queue to pay. RIDICULOUS Morrisons

Everything !!!!! not a good thing to say,, sorry something needs sorting out. no cutlery no milk no servetts no customer service ,not a good word to say about the food cold cold all of our meals bad experience this week ,we often visit but this has really angered me reported it to customer service on way out but not interested we spent near on 20pounds for incredible food and a bad experience spoilt our day and I wish I had takes photos of our food

My husband and i went to morrisons cafe in teesside park we were greeted by sarah very pleasant young lady helped me work the tea machine we had 2 very nice hot breakfasts very good value for money and thank you sarah for brightening up our morning thank you from karen and simon

We called in for lunch after shopping here, my wife has a sandwich and I had a Panini, my wife had almost finished her sandwich before my Panini arrived, and I wished it hadn't it was horrible and I ended up leaving it. The found a table that was clear but it hadn't been properly cleaned and was sticky. the floor clearly hadn't been swept and there was allsorts of detritus on the floor. We won't be using this facility again, I would rather go hungry waste money here. the only decent thing was the coffee.

I found nothing wrong with the food, I had a little breakfast and it was fine. What I am not happy about is the hygiene standards. First of all the trays, they are obviously not checked when they are brought out into the restaurant, many still have food on, sauce packets stuck to them and they are not very clean, you have to search through the stack for something half decent. Next is the problem of finding a clean table. I understand that there is never adequate staff and I do not hold them responsible, in the main, but most tables are pilled up with dirty plates and they seem to sit there for ages whilst staff walk past them in and out of the kitchen. The policy of asking customers to clear their table does not work, many don't do it and those that do leave behind a dirty table which staff still ignore until someone brings their attention to it. Even when wiped down, with a dubious looking cloth, you can wipe a napkin over the surface and it turns green from the residue on the table, I don't dare think what is living on those tables!! This problem is not just at this branch of Morrisons, from my experience it is throughout the country. Makes me wonder what they do to qualify for the hygiene rating from the local authority.

Called in for late breakfast. Had the Big Daddy or something like that. A large breakfast , toast and tea for under £7. The quality of the food was good specially for the price. The staff were all excellent. Unfortunately had to do he shopping afterwards.

I don't shop much at Morrisons basically because the drivers in the carpark don't follow rules. It's mostly the elderly parking in child places with no kids trying to park as close to the doors as possible.youd think they have more sense and set an example?

Called in At lunchtime not sure what to have then noticed this mini afternoon tea which was perfect for just £2.75.

Visited Morrisons on Saturday 10th March. Very busy restaurant. It was 12 noon, and already they had ran out of certain items. We ordered a toastie, and a jacket potato, the toastie came with chips, looked and tasted nice. Jacket potato with beans was also tasty. Reasonably priced too. I did ask if they had wraps but they do not sell them. However what we had was ok. Plenty of seating available. Cheap and cheerful.

Visited after bowling as a family of 5, had fish and chips, pies and children's lunch box, all really good, food was served very quickly, plenty of tables, pretty much the same as most Morrison's cafes, but this one has great staff. Every food station I went to the girls explained how the café worked, where to get your drinks etc., and the man delivering the food was pleasant and friendly too, just makes your eating experience a lot nicer, many thanks.

Called in today before lunchtime for some snacks with family.all food was nice and good value prices .some of the tables weren’t that clean,nice cup of tea in there and pleasant nice staff,just a tweek a bit and be excellent.

I loved my meal here today! I had mushroom and cheese omelettes with chips and beans. The omelettes were amazing and I’ve had the same meal in bistros etc. but better today. Lovely service by a smiling cashier. Very happy with my experience.

The experience in this Cafe was terrible! The meals were of a very poor quality, the bacon was actually nearly Raw. The table tops were so dirty and the level of cleanliness throughout the whole cafe was to a very low standard. The staff were helpful when i told them the concerns and i did leave with meals been refunded and my group left hungry and disappointed. Would not return and i would not advise anyone to try it out.

Worst meal I have eaten in a long while, far too busy, tables filthy, staff pleasant enough but all in all a very disappointing experience. Certainly won’t be returning.

great value and very convenient for a quick meal. A large selection with dishes suitable for kids too.

My wife and myself grabbed lunch here. Decent range on the menu, nothing flash. But good well presented food. Really enjoyed lunch.

El café es bastante impersonal y el mostrador donde se pida su comida no tiene el menú muestra que sólo pudimos ver uno donde se introduce el café.

Based on what you pay, the food and drinks are decent enough. Okay it is not M&S or Costa so the fanciness of the food is not on the same level but the quality is and it is very cheap. Okay you have to make your own hot drinks but this is how they keep the costs down.

I know this is "just" a supermarket cafe but a 25 minute wait for hot food and it isn't even the weekend?? Lots of tables free, most of which are full of dirty dishes. Maybe the store needs more staff.

On arrival we were greeted by a friendly member if staff in what is to me a newly refurbushed cafe!We ordered, sat down and then our food was literally on our table, as quick as lightining.Lovely bit of food, typical morrisons grub, no complaints, perfect!!

Been a couple of times expecting a big improvement very disappointed.Many meals returned from other customers staff need customer service training!!

I normally come here for breakfast after a night out. I get the famous breakfast, however 8/10 they get the order wrong or over charge me. They are better places to go but you get what you pay for I suppose

After a day shopping, we dropped in for a quick lunch! We found that my wife paid more, for two chip butties which we never ordered, my wife's food was all wrong and missing items! As well as my daughters missing items! Certainly not somewhere to go again, didn't expect it to be that poor.

Don't expect it to be the best quality as it's just a supermarket cafe, however I do expect the food to come out in a timely manner and be hot when it arrives. Today I was disappointed on both counts!!!! Went to ask where food was as it had took so long was told "it's coming now" no apology for delay. Food freezing cold when it arrived and chips were raw!! Cafe appeared dirty with food all over the floor, staff too busy chatting to clean up, I'd avoid in future

Visited here last week as we were passing to head for our weekend holiday. Both of my girls ate free as we ordered 2 adult meals. Kids meals also came with fruit bags, drink and animal biscuits. Our meals were served fast and food was hot. Would definately return as reasonably priced and lovely food

I visited today for our first time in a while, I certainly won't be visiting again. Food is of an average standard which is a let down for the morrisons brand and the service is extra slow. The staff need to work on their customer communication skills, they delivered my wife's food 35 mins after arriving and I waited a further 5 minutes for mine despite being told it was a 20 minute wait for food on purchasing. There are lots of staff out front but none seem to be clearing tables or achieving much. The cutlery was dirty in the trays provided and in short supply.Overall it is ideal if you want a cup of tea and a pre made sandwich but the hot food is a let down.

Visited here just before we went to the local cinema. Ordered our food and it came exactly as we ordered and lovely and warm. Friendly staff and clean enviroment to eat. Lots of choices and we were very happy with our food. Will definately return and recommend

What I like best about this store is that there is a cafe where you can have a hot meal, also cakes, drinks and desserts. Staff always polite. The counter with salads is great.

Always busy good selection and probably the best place for a quick bite and a sit down at teesside park. Oh and the staff are very helpful
