The best restaurants in Northern Parishes Stockton-on-Tees North East

Visited for an informal business meeting. Sadly no decaf coffee available, WiFi very slow and mobile connection pretty much non existent. 3 hours max stay as non-residents and you must put your car reg in at reception. Honestly not that welcoming, though it was clean and clearly well used by office tenants. Not sure how to respond to the response left by the owner, so I'm editing here instead. Definitely your place we visited, and at shortly after 10.15am this morning I was told there was no decaf available.

A spur of the moment decision to visit The Vane Arms, having heard great things from friends but having never been before and this certainly won't be our last visit. A really lovely village pub / restaurant. Friendly and welcoming with special mention to Oliver on front of house / waiting, who was professional and friendly. Had gone thoroughly intending to have desert, all of which looked amazing but such was the quality and quantity of the main courses, we sadly couldn't manage! Next time though! Thanks to all at The Vane Arms for a lovely lunch which all our family thoroughly enjoyed.

called in for lunch while staying at the hotel food was very good and nice surrounding they were due to close but kept the restaurant open so we could have lunch thank you

Very festive and lovely service and food

Great food in the Toby next door. Premium plus rooms are over rated. Old tv, not smart. Wifi poor, ultimate wifi advertised as included, not. £5 a day extra. No phone signal on o2. Lovely comfy bed as usual.

Fantastic course always in great condition all year round , well stocked pro shop and great food and service in the bar . Highly recommend a visit here .

Dreadful birthday visit today. Service practically non existent, we were there an hour and a half and managed a main course and a drink order that was taken incorrectly, my husband had to go to the bar to rectify it as the serving staff were huddled together avoiding eye contact. Food was mediocre at best and for what was a 'birthday treat' woefully inadequate. We were offered dessert and after waiting 15minutes for the menu decided that enough was enough and left to go elsewhere for dessert and coffee. Decidedly disappointing and won't be returning.

Coffee and cake were good but the service we received today was appalling. Drive thru order was taken fine but then when we pulled up to the window there was no smile or greeting. This is unusual for this particular Costa as normally the staff are very upbeat. I asked if we could have sugar and the server responded with how many then put them in each coffee, that was fine, but thenI noticed she didn't stir them and started to put the lids on, so I asked if they could please be stirred or alternatively could we have a stirrer. The reply was "ahhh they'll be ok" followed by being handed both coffees without eye contact. No stirrer given, and not willing to stir? Still no smile or thanks, or indeed, any acknowledgement at all. Hoping for my usual good service next time, and that this may have just been a blip today 😔

Perfectly nice standard coffee shop but this store (part of a service station therefore only available via car) has a third party parking authority limiting the time to the store. I've been fined £60 for a £5 hot chocolate. Not the place to go for a catch up with a friend, more useful for a takeout.

Nice place with friendly staff and service. Good choice of beers and wines also selection of cocktails. Menu could give you a better choice but ok for a visit.

Very lovely food great atmosphere and very quick service and staff were amazing especially the ladies called Paula and Julie

The restaurant was freezing cold. The plates for the main course, which was very ordinary, were cold. Not a good experience

The drive through service was very good, more or less immediate. The food was hot, good and value for money.

Nice place to chill and eat

Afternoon tea today, lovely! Good selection, well presented and tasty. Service was quick ,and staff pleasant. Well recommended.
