Our visit was for a very important anniversary and although the initial greeting was friendly it was downhill after that. Ten minutes after arriving we were finally asked if we wanted a drink, another ten minutes and wrong drinks appeared, the reason given was they were busy although there were still empty tables. The menu was surprisingly limiting, more a lunchtime than dinner but I picked the burger and my wife had sea bream. The burger was ok but only came with fries, no salad just a teaspoon full of dreadful so called coleslaw. My wife’s fish was appalling, tiniest fillet with one new potato cut into four, she asked for more potatoes and by the time they arrived we had finished our meal. We spoke to the young lady head waiter who said they were busy and that the portions were normal before reluctantly taking a small amount off the bill. Big disappointment for our golden anniversary, we will not be coming back.

This was a pre booked mothers Day meal table for 9 for 12 o clock, and after going here last year, for the exact same special day, our expectations I'm not gonna lie were high. Unfortunately, we felt let down as the meal was poor at best. I personally was going to order a chicken parmo, but they had sold out ? It's very strange, but you roll with the punches, so I got a beef dinner . I hate to do this, but it was just not good. Beef was not nice, quite tough, and chewy. Veg was cold, and hardly any gravy we did order more gravy but overall very disappointed with experience . Burgers and chips are also not the best. Thus, it was not a cheap meal, so I must state how disappointed and let down we feel sorry would not recommend here. Staff were lovely shame about food as this was a family occasion organised by brother in law .

My self and two friends go to The Wolviston Toby every week now .it gives us the opportunity to keep in touch with each other we have never had a bad meal yet . So obviously we keep returning And always made to feel welcome by all the carvery and floor staff .There is many other restaurants in the area but we chose Wolviston Carvery Also because very good value for money.

Visited for Sunday lunch with family . Overpriced and probably one of the worst Sunday lunches I have ever eaten .Beef tough as old boots ,hard to cut with standard cutlery , broccoli pretty much raw . Pork fatty and wafer thin .Roast potatoes tasted like reheats, luckily only given 2 of them and carrots again hard and barely edible. Dinner saved by the mash which was the best thing on the plate .We mentioned to waitress about meat being awful who didn't look surprised or interested. Honestly save your money and go to one of the many local pubs that serve great food in this area .
