Clean, tidy and well maintained with a good selection of drinks on draught and in bottles.

Best in summer. Average food, cheap drinks. Good atmosphere mostly.

It was my first time back to Kings' arms since a revamp, but my last experience here was really disappointing, and even after a detailed complaint to Green King themselves who never acted on my concerns at the time regarding an employees bad attitude I was a bit apprehensive. So today, after a lot of years of distance,we decided to have a fresh start with the kings arms and give it another attempt. We only had a few drinks as they were really expensive. I had a pint of madri on draft, which was £5.80 very nice i have to admit, and my sister in law had a pint of John smiths, which was £4.85 . My better half had a bottle off prosseco, which was £24 pounds ,outrageous. We sat at table 201, which I would recommend if sunny . I must stress that we did not order any food today, so experience only. I'm just really glad sunny weather was free 🌞.

Kennedywho served us was a top notch bar tender and a joy to talk to. Fantastic experience and would highly recommend 10/10

Food good pub grub OK to watch sport

A fab visit, the sun is out the beer garden is huge and mmmm food and service quick considering how busy it was. Food was delicious

Drinks are just unreasonably priced, Will not be going back, Iv have had cheaper pints at casinos in London, Over 5 quid a pint for a pub in billingham is just absurd, I get that this pub does not get to set the prices but still the review is not about what the pub can do, Its about what the pub does do.

Good night watching the football with friends and family. Amazing atmosphere and great drinks selection. Staff are always happy to give a recommendation of food and drink.

Lovely pub. Menu woth plenty of variety. Dog friendly. Plenty of seating indoors and outdoors. Children play area outside too.

Me and my friend came for a night out ordered the hunters chicken as well as nachos alongside a few drinks and everything was lovely. Bar staff extremely lovely. Really happy with our stay :)

Service was a little slow today compared to other visits, the food was good, would like to see more choices on the pizza menu I can recommend the pulled pork and chorizo was hit and tasty with plenty of toppings

Excellent refurbishment. Pity the food quality remains the same. Very average no improvement. Please get a new chef and quality of ingredients. Just been again and I can report that the food I had today was excellent. It's just a pity it was supposed to contain roasted peppers and onions but they bearly existed. Great chicken though and curry sauce. See the pic.

I called the pub to ask if they offered any option for take out pizzas, and they do! The woman on the phone let me know that I could place my order over the the phone with her and then pick it up within 20 minutes to half an hour. She explained that they can do this majority of the time, but the wait time will change based on how busy they are! Absolutely amazing, pizzas were still hot a fresh!

First time visiting after the refurbishment and boy does it look better, they have brought the place upto date at long last. The food as always was spot on although it would be nice to get the pizza menu changed it a couple of new ones. Highly recommend

Went for a family catch-up. The place was busy but we managed to get a table. Staff were friendly and although busy still managed to serve with a smile. When ordering food we were told there was a little wait in due to how busy they were, the food arrived earlier than expected and was all hot and tasty. The steak pie was huge although it wasnt packed with meat there was still a decent amount. The pizza looked tasty and was packed with toppings. We will definitely be going back

Yet again great service from Adam and a smashing lunch. Jam roly poly to die for!! Been to this place for lunch on a number of occasions now and the service and food has never changed, always piping hot!

Went for Christmas day lunch, had a 2:30pm slot, were shown to our table which was presented well. The meal was beautifully well presented and very tasty. Staff were very efficient and friendly. A lovely day

Just a standerd green king pub, nothing to shout about. Had the Sunday roast due beef and turkey. Meat was lovely and tender and very juciy. Veg was a little underdone and tough but all in all taste how it should. Overall £37 for 2 standerd dinners and 2 cokes.

We went for Xmas lunch and although the food was ok, the service was terrible. It took over 3 hours to serve 3 courses. Only served half the deserts we had to ask for the rest. Waited another 40 mins for coffee nothing turned up. A huge lack of comms and leadership

Went for the Christmas menu but was told I had to order it beforehand so they could order the food in!!! When I booked online it didn't give me the option. We ordered from the main menu (scampi and chips) and it was an Iceland special. McCain oven chips Iceland own scampi and birds eye frozen peas. I could only give them 1 star and that was for the drinks and the guy who served our Iceland scampi platter. Luckily not all Greene King pubs are this poor.

Had a 12' pizza, was lovely, service was great and staff were brilliant

Stopped here for a few drinks Great atmosphere & friendly welcome. We didn’t eat but food looked good. Sport shown, plenty of inside & outside space. Lots of choice on the menu. Vegan & vegetarian options available. Lovely & clean. We will be back to sample the menu.

Our 2nd visit to this Excellent pub, they do 2 for £15 even on a Friday night where lots of pubs are Monday to Thursday only. They have 3 or 4 flavour thatchers on draught that I can't find anywhere else. Warm and welcoming. As a party of 4 we sat in the corner out the way and ordered food and a couple of drinks.... Very reasonable prices. The lad came over 20mins ahead of time to let us know the child in the group had to leave so no rushing about. Definitely somewhere we will be returning to. I would say the car park seems small for the size of the pub and you would expect parking issues but we have never had a problem getting parked.

Went in with some friends to watch the live singer on Friday. David Aryn was amazing to listen to and the bar staff were as friendly as ever. The small plates deal for three for £14.50 is amazing when drinking.

Loverly pub. Pizza is great and freshly made, also a good price for what you get. The staff are friendly and quick service when ever I have been in. My 2 girls love playing in the new play area, the pub now has a big family focus, which is great.

Prices now for drinks is expensive compared to other pubs in Billingham. The service is now poor, especially when ordering on the App. Where pay for it on the App you have to go looking for where your drinks or food are. And also lets you pay for drinks that are not in stock, but no one comes and tells you or apologises. Level of service has gone right down the hill since it’s been done up. Won’t be returning unless the prices are reduced and service is improved

I came in for dinner late on a Friday night and was given really friendly service by all the staff working. The waitress Ellie was quick to recommend the live singers that were on later that night and they were amazing. The waitress done an amazing job recommending food and drinks before recommending the singers which really made our night. Food was amazing, small plates are great for starters, and pizzas are homemade and crispy, and the katsu curry is amazing. Would recommend for the amazing food and even better service!

Food disgusting. Get a descent homemade meal just down the road . Chips from oven, pepper sauce dried up . No hardly cheese in wrap. No dressing on salad just leaves nothing else. I paid the same last evening, and it was for 4 people, and I was in today with 3 people. 🤢 also ordered 3 scoops of vanilla ice cream for my grandson. It came out 2 chocolate and 1 vanilla. They have not got a clue

Daughter went to sit outside for a drink. First thing she knocked a spider egg sac under the table, coat was filled with loads of the cretins. Then the bar person brought out drinks, brought her a glass for her bottle of coke, it was when she went to pour her coke in she noticed bird crap on the inside of her glass, Which was brought out with ice in Needless to say she drank from the bottle and left, Staff are friendly but clean glasses are a must. As for the spider sac 🤢 firewood

Recently visited and can say is the food is exceptional and the refurb is amazing. Staff are very friendly and attentive. I enjoyed the pie which was cooked to perfection. My wife ordered the hunters chicken which was also very tasty. Drinks were also reasonably priced. Will certainly visit again.

All newly refurbished, a welcoming place. Ordered food at the table and was brought over. Pizza was lovely but the burger could have done with more chips. We love our food, wouldn’t necessarily race back. This place on a Sunday afternoon is probably more suited to a meal out with kids, it was quite loud so no one would hear the kids bickering! There’s a lovely little play area and space for kids to run outside.

Sorry but food not so good for someone trying to be healthy but nice food for other people

Went in for a family party for my nephews 18th birthday. The food was 10/10 the service was brilliant staff were nice and polite as u would say service with a smile and a great atmosphere

Lovely lunch but spoilt by having a woman come in with dog which promtly crapped in the middle of the floor, couldnt finish lunch after that, decided to leave before it p*ssed up the table leg !!!!

Was looking forward to seeing the 'newly refurbished' pub. The pub looks good but on deciding wot to eat we had to change 3 times as they didn't have wot we wanted. So in anticipation hubby's 3rd choice came out which was Gammon, egg, chips & peas. We were gobsmacked!!!! As you can see from the pics the eggs had turned to crisp & underneath was cooked on an unclean hotplate by the colour of both eggs!!! (Ive worked in the food industry). The pictures speak for themselves. My 3rd choice Lasagne as from pics was burnt on top, Soggy and unappealing. My grandaughters pizza chips & beans were the best of all the meals tbh. A lady, whom we think was the manager and served our meals asked if we were enjoying our meals to which my husband informed her why we weren't. She admitted she wouldn't eat the eggs either, but my husbands argument was it shouldn't of been served in the first place!. We proceeded to have a young member of staff patronise my husband collecting the plates say she liked crispy eggs!!! We've always known their food was 'ping food' but not everyone just settles for bad quality food. The manager gave my husband a full refund, however a nice meal would've been better.

Since refurbishment All the tables had reserved on which made you uncomfortable sitting on them incase customer came . Food terrible had the hunters chicken it was like rubber and got 10 chips. I was sat under a TV kick boxing was on was not nice watching it whilst trying to Chewing on my chicken. I will not be going back.

1st time been in since makeover. Very impressed with the new look Kings Arms looks amazing. Still the same friendly happy staff and service that you always get here. Food was wonderful as always, mixed grill was spot on well filling the burgers look amazing too. Well worth a visit as its a wonderful place for food and drink and a very warm welcome

We have not been in here before even though we live local. Thought we would give it a go after the refurbishment. Food was cooked beautifully staff were friendly and the steak was to die for. Would highly recommend going if you can.

oh what a change. the place looks amazing. the atmosphere is lush and well the food. even before it came I knew it would be the usual standards. I planned for the mac and cheese with a side of chip and boy did you deliver. thank you to the team at the kings.

Wow what a difference the pub has dramatically for the better. The place was heaving, we did have to wait for our food but it was well worth it. 10 out of 10 will definitely be back

We came here 2nd day after opening, the decor looks great and they have added some booths and different seating areas. We ordered some garlic bread and sides with a couple of drinks, but we were a bit shocked when the £3 portion of chips came out in the picture you see below, don’t be fooled this bowl is smaller than my hand, I counted 14 chips in that bowl. Drinks were lovely, I took the bowl to the manager and she was very easy to talk to, she told me it was the company and the food is weighted that is just how they do it, which i was okay with as they have just followed how the company do it but for the price of everything I was just laughing more than annoyed. We will come again for drinks definitely but DONT GO HERE FOR FOOD (a nice posh quiet restaurant would honestly be the same price and you would get a lot more)

Great new refurbishment, excellent staff and the food was spot on, especially the pizzas! They couldn't have done better!

Just been in here after a massive refurb on the place which makes the pub a lot bigger imho. Food was great, service was great. All new large TV's around the place will be great to watch sports.

Had a pre opening night here after a massive refurb of the place and I have to say they have done a cracking job to the place. It looks amazing.

I went there today we ordered 3 parmos with chips and salad 2 of us had sweet Potato fries which where burnt could not eat mine the parmos where very small and the breadcrumbs on them wphere soggy and not nice to eat what you call salad was a couple of old leafs and 2bits of tomato it was our first time and it will be the last when l told the member of staff all she said l am sorry about that no more to be said

We visited the kings arms a few friends and my self the food was really good but it always is. We went for a girly night out food and drinks, the atmosphere was amazing Toni and Dan came and spoke to us made sure all was good. We stayed for the dj the rest of the staff were really good too. Will definitely be returning.

The kings arms is always a reliable place to eat, the food is lovely like normal and the staff are always really welcoming, Ollie and Saul to name a couple that stood out, never get let down by a trip to the kings love it and will be back again soon! Thank you

The best pub I've ever been too, Adam wood is a very talented chef. Olly McBean is the best on the bar too the best service I've ever had.

Brilliant place to eat and drink, our server Saul was very friendly and took care of us and olly’s Thursdays quizzes have became our weekly tradition.

This place stinks of dirty oven smoke... the smell engrains itself into your clothes. Somebody really needs to clean that pizza oven out. And stop burning the pizzas
