I came in for dinner late on a Friday night and was given really friendly service by all the staff working. The waitress Ellie was quick to recommend the live singers that were on later that night and they were amazing. The waitress done an amazing job recommending food and drinks before recommending the singers which really made our night. Food was amazing, small plates are great for starters, and pizzas are homemade and crispy, and the katsu curry is amazing. Would recommend for the amazing food and even better service!

Lovely meal, everything served hot and well presented. Could not fault value for money. Great friendly staff, nothing a problem. Adam our server was lovely.

Plenty of places to sit since the refurb and a good choice of beers and wines . More space with extension to the outside area. Just went for tea and a few beers worth a visit. Food menu ok and service fair.

Food disgusting. Get a descent homemade meal just down the road . Chips from oven, pepper sauce dried up . No hardly cheese in wrap. No dressing on salad just leaves nothing else. I paid the same last evening, and it was for 4 people, and I was in today with 3 people. 🤢 also ordered 3 scoops of vanilla ice cream for my grandson. It came out 2 chocolate and 1 vanilla. They have not got a clue

Daughter went to sit outside for a drink. First thing she knocked a spider egg sac under the table, coat was filled with loads of the cretins. Then the bar person brought out drinks, brought her a glass for her bottle of coke, it was when she went to pour her coke in she noticed bird crap on the inside of her glass, Which was brought out with ice in Needless to say she drank from the bottle and left, Staff are friendly but clean glasses are a must. As for the spider sac 🤢 firewood

Recently visited and can say is the food is exceptional and the refurb is amazing. Staff are very friendly and attentive. I enjoyed the pie which was cooked to perfection. My wife ordered the hunters chicken which was also very tasty. Drinks were also reasonably priced. Will certainly visit again.

All newly refurbished, a welcoming place. Ordered food at the table and was brought over. Pizza was lovely but the burger could have done with more chips. We love our food, wouldn’t necessarily race back. This place on a Sunday afternoon is probably more suited to a meal out with kids, it was quite loud so no one would hear the kids bickering! There’s a lovely little play area and space for kids to run outside.

Sorry but food not so good for someone trying to be healthy but nice food for other people

Went in for a family party for my nephews 18th birthday. The food was 10/10 the service was brilliant staff were nice and polite as u would say service with a smile and a great atmosphere

Was looking forward to seeing the 'newly refurbished' pub. The pub looks good but on deciding wot to eat we had to change 3 times as they didn't have wot we wanted. So in anticipation hubby's 3rd choice came out which was Gammon, egg, chips & peas. We were gobsmacked!!!! As you can see from the pics the eggs had turned to crisp & underneath was cooked on an unclean hotplate by the colour of both eggs!!! (Ive worked in the food industry). The pictures speak for themselves. My 3rd choice Lasagne as from pics was burnt on top, Soggy and unappealing. My grandaughters pizza chips & beans were the best of all the meals tbh. A lady, whom we think was the manager and served our meals asked if we were enjoying our meals to which my husband informed her why we weren't. She admitted she wouldn't eat the eggs either, but my husbands argument was it shouldn't of been served in the first place!. We proceeded to have a young member of staff patronise my husband collecting the plates say she liked crispy eggs!!! We've always known their food was 'ping food' but not everyone just settles for bad quality food. The manager gave my husband a full refund, however a nice meal would've been better.

Just been in with friends after their refurbishment, it looks like a totally different place, you wouldn’t think you were in Billingham. It is amazing, the staff are really friendly and the pizzas some how taste better. Definitely worth a visit, new kids play area and outside undercover seating, only downside the outside covered area could do with some heating

Since refurbishment All the tables had reserved on which made you uncomfortable sitting on them incase customer came . Food terrible had the hunters chicken it was like rubber and got 10 chips. I was sat under a TV kick boxing was on was not nice watching it whilst trying to Chewing on my chicken. I will not be going back.

1st time been in since makeover. Very impressed with the new look Kings Arms looks amazing. Still the same friendly happy staff and service that you always get here. Food was wonderful as always, mixed grill was spot on well filling the burgers look amazing too. Well worth a visit as its a wonderful place for food and drink and a very warm welcome

We have not been in here before even though we live local. Thought we would give it a go after the refurbishment. Food was cooked beautifully staff were friendly and the steak was to die for. Would highly recommend going if you can.

oh what a change. the place looks amazing. the atmosphere is lush and well the food. even before it came I knew it would be the usual standards. I planned for the mac and cheese with a side of chip and boy did you deliver. thank you to the team at the kings.

Wow what a difference the pub has dramatically for the better. The place was heaving, we did have to wait for our food but it was well worth it. 10 out of 10 will definitely be back

Excellent refurbishment. Pity the food quality remains the same. Very average no improvement. Please get a new chef and quality of ingredients.

We came here 2nd day after opening, the decor looks great and they have added some booths and different seating areas. We ordered some garlic bread and sides with a couple of drinks, but we were a bit shocked when the £3 portion of chips came out in the picture you see below, don’t be fooled this bowl is smaller than my hand, I counted 14 chips in that bowl. Drinks were lovely, I took the bowl to the manager and she was very easy to talk to, she told me it was the company and the food is weighted that is just how they do it, which i was okay with as they have just followed how the company do it but for the price of everything I was just laughing more than annoyed. We will come again for drinks definitely but DONT GO HERE FOR FOOD (a nice posh quiet restaurant would honestly be the same price and you would get a lot more)

Just been in here after a massive refurb on the place which makes the pub a lot bigger imho. Food was great, service was great. All new large TV's around the place will be great to watch sports.

Had a pre opening night here after a massive refurb of the place and I have to say they have done a cracking job to the place. It looks amazing.

I went there today we ordered 3 parmos with chips and salad 2 of us had sweet Potato fries which where burnt could not eat mine the parmos where very small and the breadcrumbs on them wphere soggy and not nice to eat what you call salad was a couple of old leafs and 2bits of tomato it was our first time and it will be the last when l told the member of staff all she said l am sorry about that no more to be said

We visited the kings arms a few friends and my self the food was really good but it always is. We went for a girly night out food and drinks, the atmosphere was amazing Toni and Dan came and spoke to us made sure all was good. We stayed for the dj the rest of the staff were really good too. Will definitely be returning.

Brilliant place to eat and drink, our server Saul was very friendly and took care of us and olly’s Thursdays quizzes have became our weekly tradition.

This place stinks of dirty oven smoke... the smell engrains itself into your clothes. Somebody really needs to clean that pizza oven out. And stop burning the pizzas

I go in here quite a lot for lunch. The sunday roast is to die for. Staff are very polite and will do anything you assist you. Toni, hanna & Oli are always very helpful when we are in there. Could do with possibly a guest ale on from time to time instead of just having green king IPA all the time.

The staff is lovely especially Toni kind and welcoming environment with delightful bubbly personalities and alcohol, however the quiz master olly is one of the rudest bad men I’ve ever laid my eyes on, would recommend to a friend

Came for the Halloween party and there were not enough seats so we had to sit the other end of the pub away from the kids were we couldn't see or hear them, the food didn't taste very nice and the kids were bored because there wasn't much there, they then brought out a character which they made all the kids get together and all adults take a photo of not just their child but of everyone else's child too then they took the character away, leaving some children upset because they missed out as the character was only out for one group photo and my children couldn't get a photo they wanted because they couldn't get in the group photo due to autism and not being able to be on everyone's else's photo which are most likely going to be on social media!! I will not be coming back here.

Went to the Kings Arms for dinner a few days ago and the pizzas didn’t disappoint. Loads of different options to choose from, including a vegetarian option so everyone at the table could enjoy pizzas together. The service stood out with all the staff being very friendly and helpful, even recommending their favourite pizzas when we struggled to make a final decision. Even with the busy service from a Thursday quiz night the staff never failed to come and check in with our meals and offer us fresh drinks. Ellie was a stand out, recommending for us to do the quiz while we enjoyed our desserts. The Disney quiz done by Olly didn’t disappoint either. Thank you to all the staff for making our night so enjoyable and we will be back soon.

Nice pint of Guinness here, reasonable prices too. Plenty of outdoor and indoor space. At the weekends they have a DJ on inside. If this is not to your taste then the music outside might be. Adding to my review the fact that the real ales have been off both times I have been recently. Once on a Friday and once mid week. I like to try new ales. {sad_face_emoji}

We went to the kings for a pride night while there we had a drag artist called Miss Annbagthere was a dj playing a fantastic play list , the staff were very friendly and dressed up,through the night there were spot prizes. We had a fantastic time the atmosphere was amazing. Toni Dan and staff looked after everyone, a big shout out to Ellie who was a star .

This is a great local pub with friendly staff, I’m in most weekends to watch the footy and can’t fault the place! Pizzas are awesome too. Will definitely go back.

Popped in on the spur of the moment never having been before and had a lovely experience. The place had a few people in but not packed, pleasant atmosphere. We chose the deal of two dishes for, I think £12.99 with a small extra payment to include fish and chips. Our server Ollie was great, cheerful and very efficient. He even managed to speed things up for us as I was on a deadline for another appointment. This place is a good find, we’ll be back, we’ll done. 👍🏼

Came here for our evening meal, the atmosphere was good. No problem getting a table, food was lovely and came in a reasonable time after ordering . Lovely experience. Will come again

I have been previous times, and know the area on the higher level does not allow dogs as there is a sign. I checked carefully that there was no signs as O was looking after daughters dog that day. Ordered food and drink for myself, friend and dog. Nothing was said at this point that we couldn't be where we were, not until the food was brought. I explained I had checked for signs and knew that there were in other parts of the pub. She didn't seem to understand this. I felt awful as I am not one of those people who thinks rules don't apply to them. We finished as quick as possible, didn't order further drinks or dessert as planned. There is an easy solution to this, put signs up in all areas where dogs aren't allowed, not just some. I am not a mind reader. Maybe something should have been said when I ordered the dog food, as I obviously gave a table number.

Popped in for a cheeky cocktail. Friendly staff. Also ordered food which took a while and pizza oven back in section and smoke making my eyes water. Had to leave.

We came in for my friends 21st birthday today! Absolutely amazing service and the staff went above and beyond to make our time here special! Big shout out to Dan who is such an amazing and lovely man he looked after us all day. I highly recommend visiting here for food and drinks we will definitely be returning.

Average pub decent for sport on tv but food was a let down

As always, great atmospheric, Olly and the bar staff are superb, family friendly pub and ok food.

I returned to the Kings Arms yesterday for lunch and a catch up with a friend. We keep on returning because the menu has such a diversity of options and its reasonably priced. I had the 3 small plates of Beef Bao Buns, Tacos and Chicken Sliders, accompanied by sweet potato fries. My friend had the Steak and Ale Pie and vegetables. The food was timely and tasty and the service was very good. (Olly) was very personable and responsive to our requests and did all he could to meet our needs. We will continue to return. Having had the freshly baked pizzas previously from the Pizza station, I'd also recommend them. The atmosphere was relaxed and cozy despite the establishment experiencing some heating issues, this didn't detract from our visit. We appear to live in an age where some people just live and love to complain and be outraged by the most minute of things. Finding a negative is much easier than praising a positive, a byproduct of the human species negativity bias I presume. Thanks Olly, we will be back soon :)

Went for tea tonight with my mother & granddaughters the food was really nice we both had the gammon & it was very thick & tasty portion sizes are good the girls had pizza which was tasty the price was reasonable will definitely go back again
