Staff extremely rude, get drinks orders wrong then try to charge me for drinks poured incorrectly while shouting. Poor drink selection and over priced for spirits

Do not visit this place for food or coffee through the day time. Inexperienced and rude staff clearly out of their depth when the small pub is full. Empty plates scattered everywhere, sticky tables, cold coffee, long wait times for food. Nicer places in yarm to visit. You'll pay a bit more but will have a much better experience. Avoid.

Usually have a bacon and tomato breakfast bun here once a week and it's always top notch and good value too!

Do not eat at this pub. Food is truly terrible and the service, some how, is even worse. Very long wait for food, which was disgusting when it eventually arrived. The food's poor quality is proven by the barely eaten breakfasts smeared across every table as you enter. Every surface is sticky, nothing is clean. Perhaps a good place to drink on an evening but avoid it like the plague if the redheaded barmaid is working as she will ruin your experience. And definitely do not go to Osbornes for food. Worst in Yarm by far.

Wine disgusting asked for a sauvignon blanc got something that had either gone off or cheap stuff. They wouldnt change or refund me! charged me again for another drink!! but they didnt throw it away...they left the wine on the back of the bar to sell on to the next person. Terrible service will not be going back. You have lost many customers through this for the sake if a gls wine. No Manager was in that night when asked to see them..very convenient on a saturday night

Very poor flexibility. I ordered a big breakfast, it came with toast, the toast had butter on it. I don't eat butter. I asked for this to be replaced with dry toast. The request was refused. I won't be returning

Hearty portions of food at a reasonable price.Unfortunately there were Dogs laying around all over the venue.Barking at will and being given plate food on the floor,the server petting them without then washing her hands.Unless Dogs are confined to a particular area only,I wont be returning.

My two sons both always insist on Osbournes for breakfast/brunch.. my 9 year old loves the Chicken Combo and it’s by far The best breakfast in yarm by a country mile. Friendly & helpful staff, quality ingredients and so reasonably priced! Couldn’t recommend higher 👍

Love the food here good breakfast and have had gammon, eggs and chips. Sometimes difficult to find a table as so popular.

We visited Osborne’s tonight. Myself husband and a family for a few drinks and some light entertainment after what has been an awful few weeks. Myself my husband two sons and wives visited to have a drink in Osbornes tonight. My son was thrown out of the bar by a bouncer for being drunk even though had only had a couple of drinks no more than two glasses of wine which I know as I was with him. This was completely unacceptable and an absolute case of victimisations and bullying on the side of the bouncer’s. It was a case of total victimisation and absolutely unacceptable and unjustified. The bouncer was being an absolute disgrace and a total bully. A few weeks ago my son and his wife lost their baby and this was the first night that they had been out since. I cannot believe that this happened as it was uncalled for and a case of victimisation. An off duty police officer was present at the time and could not see any reason why this incident had occurred. We are a responsible family teachers social workers and did absolutely nothing wrong we were no way out to cause any problems. These people were out to victimise someone and it was my son but for no other reason than he was trying to enjoy himself This evening has caused distress to my family who were trying to recover from a bereavement. I hope your big boy bouncer feels proud of himself for the upset he has caused tonight to a family that were already suffering I would not visit this bar unless you are prepared to sit in a corner and are willing to be bullied by people who should not be employed in this job jut justifying his being. What a sad person

Friends bag was stolen from right under her nose, staff and bouncers very unhelpful, police were called, they asked Osbornes for the CCTV and Osbornes refused! Several phones have been stolen in that pub as confirmed by EE. Avoid this pub as they will take no responsibility and will not help you or the police!

Friday morning breakfast. Excellent!

Friendly staff, reasonably priced. Breakfast was quality ingredients & tasty. Philly Steak baguette and homemade chips lovely. Would definitely return!

We go in for breakfast 2-3 times a week with our westie and always get great service especially from Paddy the barman, Anna, Jason and chef Ollie the food is really good and value for money and the coffee is the best, would definitely recommend it.

Had the lads Xmas do here and the food and drink were 1st class..

Met at this bar before visiting the theatre for drinks with family friends to celebrate their daughters 18th birthday. I innocently bought a drink for the daughter which resulted in the whole group being rudely instructed to leave. No time was given to finish our drinks we had just purchased. The reason given was that I was supplying drinks to a minor. I was unaware that she only had a digital form of ID which they had not accept before I had arrived. This is customer service in 2023, rudely accuse clients of being criminals. Avoid this place if you expect to go out on and be treated with basic human respect.

Rude bouncer! Drink removed, no 'drink up' time given, questioned why I was visting the toilet when leaving the pub (in what was a sarcastic, sexist manner) and then the door was slammed in our face when we were leaving the bar, because the bouncer wanted to finish at 1 am promptly. Never been in a late night bar and had that level of disrespect from a bouncer. It's such a shame, because barring that, it is a nice bar to visit. Won't be visiting again, to be insulted when it was unprovoked. Manners cost nothing!

We popped in here at lunchtime en route to Whitley Bay and enjoyed our experience. The man serving us was very friendly and helpful and efficient and brought our drinks quickly. The food was nice and reasonably priced with a good choice on the menu. Last but not least it was nice and warm and the atmosphere was relaxing so we left feeling very relaxed. Give it a go 👍👍👍

Went in for a drink 2 weeks ago and was ignored by most staff. I held the garden door open for one of the bar staff because she had her hands full, and i didnt even get a “thank you” not even a smile or any form of acknowledgment, she just walked inside as if i was invisible. The guy behind the bar had good service though.

We randomly popped in here for lunch on our way to saltburn. We got a Philly steak sandwich & a chicken club. They were served with lovely home made chips, salad & coleslaw. We got a large americano & a Diet Pepsi. The whole lot only came to £17 and was delicious. Polite friendly staff too, will definitely return

Possibly the worst pub I've ever been apart from (funnily enough) the durham osbournes (which had actual vomit on the stairs and in the urinal). Literally everything, every surface, every floor, everything is sticky. It's over priced and poor quality. The music is too loud to allow us to talk and when ordering drinks is ridiculous. The poor staff struggle to deal with the situation. We watched one poor lass get hassled by some drunk tight white tshirt wearing nob head whilst the door man stood oblivious.

Top customer service, food is nice but the coffee can be very bitter.

Unfortunately tried to get into Osborne’s but was told ‘no you’ve had too much to drink’ my friends were inside. Disappointing, decided to walk away as was not willing to engage in an argument. Seen several other things people (mainly men) stumbling into Osborne’s with no query. I write this straight after I was refused. Laughable really.

Lovely polite staff, very friendly and efficient.. I had meals here on several occasions my recent meal was a regular breakfast. Asked for a poached egg it was done to perfection. The pub it self has a warm friendly atmosphere. Great bonus it’s dog friendly too

Extremely disappointing experience at Osbournes. Refused entry as a smartly dressed male wearing shorts on a warm day, despite women in short dresses and skirts being allowed in. Clearly a sexist policy that denigrates men in shorts and objectifies women—would recommend people avoid until this is rectified.

Called in for breakfast as Osborne’s is one of the only places in Yarm to get a breakfast late morning on a Sunday. Unfortunately there were no vegan options on the menu so I chose to have beans on toast from the ‘extras’ section. Whilst ordering we explained I was vegan, however the toast came with butter and the green tea came with a side jug of milk. I just feel like a bit of training in dietary requirements would benefit the staff and the customers.

Very friendly welcome, fast and efficient service. Hearty full English breakfast with toast and tea included in the price. At £20 for the two of us my wife and I think that Osborne's is excellent value for money, the super friendly and helpful staff are a bonus, well done and thanks for a great breakfast.

Went for breakfast a few times now. We had a full English, amazing definitely going back.

We love Osbournes and visit regularly. Unfortunately though, instead of the delicious old-school chips you now get deep-fried potato wedges. They're just not the same. Please bring back the proper chips! Cheers

Hello this a complaint you can see I have come to you in the past . Tonight will be the last . Bought a cocktail from you tasted like something you would was the toilet with asked the girl to change it but she didn’t ask anyone to see if it was ok to change it . Instead just said because I paid for it that’s it . Not good attitude when a customer is always right and on top of this she could see the drink was full to the top . Great service osbournes keep up the great service and watch this post get shared but thousands !!

Really disappointing visit today, always a go to for breakfast for me. Ordered a vegetarian breakfast and didn't realise until I started eating and I'd just been given a small breakfast, no veggie sausages or tomato, both mine and my friends fried eggs were completely burnt and tasted vile. Based on this visit I wouldn't go back for food.

Well its been a long time in coming this review as i came to this place originally about 5+ years ago and have always meant to leave a review but time got in the way. Anyway after visiting again yesterday - Thurs afternoon , as usual the staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly - all with a smile on their faces so they must be a happy bunch. We ordered food as we usually do - we went for the Burger and also we ordered a portion of "dirty chips" with cheese and mushroom covering them - well usually chips from most pubs are not very nice to say the least but these were absolutely exceptional and well worth the price , and as usual the burgers where fantastic full of proper meat. And the added bonus - i am so sick of going in pubs which have on draft only the absolutely awful Strongbow cider - well hah - this place has the fantastic Carling Cider. 5* all the way to this place , they even have a lovely beer garden which we sat out with our second pint. This is a hidden gem which shouldnt be hidden as its on Yarm High Street. Well done staff and Management - keep up the fantastic work.

Love calling in here when on our dog walks around Yarm. The pub is a dog friendly place with really reasonable quality food. Full English for £6.05 inc hot drink. Great value.

Had a great night in Osbournes on 3rd Nov. The bar staff work hard to make sure the bar is COVID safe . Polite and hard working bar staff who tries hard to make a difficult time enjoyable and stress free. Would go back anytime.

On arriving first ever time I used hand sanitizer and waited for staff. There was a temperature hand gun so my partner went to take my temp to be welcomed with it been snatched fromHis hands in a very rude manor. It took me as a shock as in my 40s I have never been treated this way. Don’t be touching that !!!! He said. After I said I wanted managers details he said there was only him Working they’re on his own. What I’mSure is an illegal thing to do. He wouldn’t give me complaints process Won’t be visiting again and will be definitely reporting it as he was not a adult in charge

I've been to Osbornes a number of times over the last few years as I have friends in the area and I have always had the same experience, whether I was with groups of friends up for weekend football matches, racing or just for a few beers with my mates. Being a Southern softy, I've always found the staff friendly and welcoming and when I've eaten there ( mainly breakfasts) they've all been top notch. If you're in the area (when we're allowed again) give it a try

I called in got lunch last week as I have been working from home and I needed to get away from my laptop for an hour. The Covid restrictions were excellent from having my temperature taken as I arrived to the track and trace availability. I had the philicheese steak sandwich and it was lush. Ideal for just popping in for a quick bite. Can't fault it really. Gutted the 2nd lockdown is coming around as I would of definitely done this again.

We went into Osbournes for breakfast . We were met by a member of staff at the door, asked to sign in for track and trace and to sanitise our hands.The place was spotless and the food great. I had a breakfast bun and my husband a full English. The food was lovely. Piping hot and excellent value for money.We felt completely safe which is important with the current climate. The staff were great-warm and friendly while keeping social distancing rules.Would definitely eat here again.

Me and my wife came to Osbournes on a night out in yarm and it was amazing! The staff were lovely and the drinks were cheap and very very high quality. We loved every second of our visit in this place and we will definitely be returning soon enough. Massive thank you to all the staff!

Me and my family went for breakfast and for starters the service was awful walked in seated ourselves and had to find out our menus/ cutlery etc. When we did order my sausage was raw and the brunette waitress was so rude about it she suggested I “just eat it” in the end I just payed and left. Would never visit here again and will definitely not be recommending to anyone

Nice enough for a bit of breakfast but have some strange rules about only being able to add fried eggs to sandwich but not poached eggs
