Amazing place, can't even express the value in these times, food quality is excellent. Can't fault a single thing. Came a few times always alone, staff are amazing, Bev especially helps me when my hands are a bit full, I do like my food 😎😎 Thanks guys see you soon!!!

Incredible service, staff went above and beyond. Food was great too, and made special arrangements for vegan members of our group.

I along with my work colleague had to stay in the Premier Inn next to this Beefeater, a couple of things, we went to have tea that night and the service was brilliant,We went to breakfast on Wednesday 6th November and we was met by a young lady called Abbie (she introduced herself), who was brilliant, polite, helpful and really just made our morning with her enthusiasm and welcome, I again had to stay on Friday 8th, when we went to tea and service was ok,Abbie was working that night and again with such enthusiasm and as before was always smiling, in the Saturday morning, there she was again, no matter that she was probably tired,served us again with a smile,all this was done with very good professionalism and if all the staff were like her it would be a perfect pub/restaurant!!! KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK Abbie!!!!

👎 food not worth the prices on the menu I ordered the Beef Double Stack Burger £16.99 which is not worth the money 2small 4oz burgers, 10 chips & small teaspoon of coleslaw which was warm,my girlfriend ordered the fish& chips which was soggy.

We went here about a month ago without booking and thought it was really nice, so we made a return trip today, we did not book again but I had checked the booking system and it didn't seem busy, when we arrived the restaurant didn't look busy and I didn't hear what the waitress said as I was trying to put the car reg in, anyway we had been sent to the bar, I thought it was until a table was free, apparently not, I ordered at the bar, was told where to retrieve my cutlery from and that the food would be served in the bar, I had paid the bill by then or else I would have left and found another restaurant, so I doubt I will return, paying restaurant prices for help yourself bar food is not for me, thank you

Always a solid pint a decent food, good for kids and able to bring the dog

The bar Staff seemed put out about having to serve us. Told we had to pay before our drinks were served but other customers paid after service. My wine was served in dirty glass when mentioned the full negative attitude was on show and they poured my tainted drink into slightly cleaner glass. Think I should have had new glass of wine. Toilet facilities are poorly maintained and in need of refresh.

After having surgery on my stomach I can’t eat a lot of food I have been to a few restaurants and asked for a children’s portion and because I’m an adult the answer has always be no and try a starter. So for my wife’s birthday myself daughters and grandchildren took my wife there for tea I wasn’t going to go but glad I did I asked could I order a children’s meal and the answer was yes the young man who served me even explained that the children’s main course was £5 pounds and for £2 pounds extra I could get a 3 course meal which I wouldn’t be able to eat but the rest of my family could which was nice of the young man. I had sausage and mash and the quantity was just perfect. Thanks for making me feel human after a traumatic few months.

I recently had the pleasure of enjoying breakfast at the Beefeater at Tees Barrage, and I have to say, the experience was made absolutely wonderful thanks to Bev! From the moment we walked in, Bev’s warm and welcoming demeanor made us feel right at home. Her friendly smile and positive attitude were the perfect start to my morning. Bev’s attention to detail and her commitment to providing top-notch service did not go unnoticed. She went above and beyond to ensure that our breakfast was perfect, checking in to make sure we had everything we needed and always doing so with genuine care. It’s rare to find someone who truly understands the importance of great customer service, but Bev certainly does. Her professionalism, efficiency, and cheerful nature made our breakfast a memorable experience. I will definitely be returning and highly recommend starting your day with a visit to the Beefeater at Tees Barrage – especially if Bev is there to take care of you. It's OK to call in but food is just average and in my opinion over priced chain pub food

Good food good service and great value for money.

Food was good, just expensive. Service needs to be reviewed. When we arrived, we had to wait over 10 minutes before someone came over to us. Then their was no remorse. When we asked for a table for two. Considering there were multiple clean empty tables. All we got was a blunt! No tables for an hr so you need to go to the bar for food Strange Considering it was the same menue.

Sunday evening, 6pm. Place was barely a quarter full. I had a 40% off food coupon, which brought the cost down to what I would have expected to pay for what we had. Got to wonder if the high prices keep people away. I had the steak pie which came with chips, peas and gravy. Wetherspoons chip counters should come here, I had less than a dozen chips so mentioned this to the server. Would you like more, she asked. Erm, yes please. I think I got another three when my plate was returned. That said, the food was hot and tasty. Service ok. We only come here when we have a coupon so it pays to sign up to the app.

Good cooked breakfast. Lovely server in the morning that greets you by name. There is a good choice of options even for picky eaters like my son.

Loved it here - was staying at Premier Inn next door, so this was our go-to place for breakfast, etc. Staff were fabulous, helpful, kind, and very efficient. Also knowledgeable about local area and gave us a few tips about where to go and best parking places 🙂

Great place to start your day with there lovely breakfast.. staff are really friendly and helpful.. my waitresses Bev was brilliant . Not bad for a girl from battersea ! Highly recommend

I just wanna share my very honest opinion that Bev and Natalie were such a lovely people and the quality of service and joy they bring to the restaurant is absolutely incomparable to any other premises I have been to I would defo comeback to this hotel because of them , I highly recommend this place it’s something to not regret and the food is spot on thank you very much ❤️

We went mid week where the prices are reasonable, whereas at the weekend it is double the price. The meal, however, was rather good - We couldn't fault it. We took our dog into the restaurant and he sat quietly on the floor. Husband loved the stake and said it was delicious and shared it with the dog who normally does not take food from us in a restaurant but on this occasion he woofed it.

My family was up from south so I decided to bring them here for a evening meal we where welcomed by a gent called del he pointed us to a table for 4 i have Parkinson and couldn’t get to the table his attitude towards us was unprofessional and very unreasonable and stated that there was only 2 seating tables which he could of easily pulled the tables together but he wouldn’t do this so we walked away from there and sat in the bar area and the staff behind the bar where lovely and friendly

Use this venue regularly. Always good food and quick service. Nice beer garden for drinks outside. A great breakfast topped off with excellent service from Bev who always makes sure we have a warm welcome.

We were there on Saturday, it was busy but we ate in the restaurant. Shout out to the guy who served us I never got his name but he made our visit great. Speaking to us and interacting with our grandson. Food was lovely also

Bun with 1 slice of hallumi & 1 mushroom, cold rubbery chips & a spoonful of coleslaw £15.88 Mediocre lasagne with 2 tiny pieces of garlic bread £13.99 £8.88 for 2 soft drinks. Spent just shy of £40 on 2 very small, ⁷expensive terrible meals.

Good food, my son particularly enjoyed the halloumi burger and the fish and chips were really nice. Very friendly, accommodating staff. They helped us put two tables together for our group and carried our drinks order to the table for us. Nice atmosphere, background music not too loud and we were easily able to have a conversation over it. An enjoyable night.

Fantastic food and the service is top-notch, with special mention to the amazing BEV and team for their care.

We usually grab food when we come to the Talpore, but with the weather being glorious, we stopped off for a glass of wine and to chill in the large outside seating area that overlooks the white water rafting course.

I go for breakfast regularly with my Gran, Bev is always there to greet us with a warm welcome and cannot do enough for you. Eggs always ordered promptly and seated with ease. Plenty of choice of food, fresh and hot, as well as selection of continental. Dirty Plates taken away quickly. Lovely service and great breakfast

Lovely meals and breakfast here (next door to Premier Inn) and Bev was brilliant and so friendly.

The only let down was the ladies toilets mentioned above no toilet rolls and mess toilet rolls replaced mess still in toilets

Used use regularly when stopping at caravan club next door.if went in from 1500 to 1730 used get buy drinks get 1 free.apparently new Area managers & have over ridden land lady who implemented it.prices shocking for teeside in my opinion also food.pity as used like pub & staff are Lovely.

Pleasant staff very polite unfortunately spoilt by lazy parents allowing kids to run around inside backwards and forwards past other visitors tables. Decided not to dine and left.

Lady staff member was a little rude about us not been able to see a table number on our table when we first ordered, however this is the only negative feedback I have. The male workers were all absolutely spot on even apologising for the lady's attitude. Food was average and a little costly but for the views and atmosphere you get worth it overall. Staff were attentive and proactive, cleaning the outside and dealing with issues. Whilst waiting for your food it's worth a little stroll out the back gate where u can look on the tee barage and see the white water center in action too. Overall a very good pub, with play area for the kids, a lovley atmosphere and decent food.

Prawn skewer very nice, chicken and ribs the ribs were very dry.

Hairs and a piece of plastic on the food. Ordered the Halloumi fries which came out cold. When I complained I was told ‘those hairs could have come from anywhere, it could be your eyelash and the plastic might have come off the fruit shoot’. We were offered a refund but the food would be taken away. After over a half an hour, wait for the food with a 4 year old, and a long drive back home. That wasn’t an option I wanted to take so asked for discount or money back to which I was told ‘No’. When I advised that I would be leaving a bad review I was told ‘go ahead and do that’! Bad attitude from staff and bad over priced food. This was our 1st visit to a Beefeater and it will also be our last!

It shouldn't take nearly three hours for a two course meal. We were misinformed with prices of drinks on the meal deal and even told one of our party who left early hadn't paid her bill when she definitely had. We were sitting under a flickering light which 'couldn't be turned off' which was also very uncomfortable. Waiting time for food was far too long although when it finally arrived, it was a tasty meal.

Came here today for breakfast. Stocks of certain items ran low frequently, but were quickly replenished. Of concern was the cleanliness, or lack of in customer facing areas. Of particular concern was the area around the coffee machine, where mould was growing on the detritus.

Ordered 2 meals, I've scored a 3 as it was only average for the burger meal as it was £16.49 so I would have expected proper chips and a nicer burger for that price would usually pay up to about £12 elsewhere for the same quality. Didn't complain as I did get what i ordered. Service by Chris was excellent, and the staff seemed nice. It looks very run down inside the pub and toilets on both sides of pub untidy and no toilet roll in them apart from one cubicle which is unacceptable also, they sat us next to a window where the window sill and blinds were filthy and the floor was dirty therefore, it needs deep cleaning to a better standard, pub very quiet for a Sunday lunchtime and there was plenty of staff on, so they need to up there game, they should take pride as this isn't acceptable won't be rushing back 😞

Great northern hospitality. Really friendly staff that are ready for a bit of banter. Decent food and good family atmosphere. Children's external play area means this isn't the place for a quiet pint.

Dogs are now welcome. The whole bar/eating area stinks of dogs. The carpets were filthy and are absolutely covered in dog hair. The whole place needs a deep clean and dogs should not be welcome in a place that serves so much food. Dogs were constantly barking and I would not eat here again.

Have been to restaurant 5 times previously all excellent service. Meet and shown to table with cutlery .drinks order taken food order taken delivered and extras . C ame T oday. Oh find empty table .no waitress order at bar .await delivery start er food 22 mins then took empty plates back to bar for main courses 46 mins later food delivered no cutlery no sources 12 mins in a queue at bar to ask where cutlery is .on table next to till help yourself food cold by then 46 mins after mains finished with all plates stacked up que again at bar to ask for deserts Ate them finished drinks and left 29 minswith main courses and desert plates still on table

The food was absolutely amazing as well as the service.. Chris was so polite, friendly & easy to talk to & all the staff greeted us nicely & all of them topped it off with a smile.. we have not received excellent service like this in a long time & we would recommend The Talpore to everyone, again thank you for the great hospitality & food. P.S we will definitely be coming back.

Excellent service great food and atmosphere reasonable prices.

We have been coming here two or three times a month for almost 5 years. New management has recently taken over and with that destroyed half of the menu with cheap substitutes. There sirloin steak looks like a dogs left overs with more gristle than meat. Real shame as I have had nothing but steak every time we have been. They have now lost out custom I'm afraid. Really really low quality food. Bring back the old management

Had a great Friday night in this restaurant. The staff are amazing and an absolute credit to Beefeater. Michael and the team work so well together. Constantly serving, chatting, clearing etc and all with smiles on their faces. The place is dog friendly, with water bowls provided and treats for our furry friends. The food was good, well cooked, plentiful and served piping hot. I would recommend visiting this restaurant if you are in the area. Plenty of parking is available too.

It's okay. I found it a bit pricey and lots of dog hair everywhere. Being allergic to them I needed an antihistimen afterwards.

I personally didn't enjoy it here. Floors were a mess looks like it needs a revamp. Just seemed scruffy. Granted it was busy and few children in so wouldn't be able to tidy up or hoover. It's a dog friendly bar /restaurant which is good. Because views and walks round the river which are lovely and then stop in here for a meal is ideal. Outside of town. With large car park. I had butternut squach. Spinach and ricotta lasagne. It. Nice but spoilt by it being far too hot after having a long wait we were very hungry. A Sunday dinner was served to a couple that came a lot earlier than ours and they had come in much later than us so that wound me up as the hunger set in.. . The stack burger my Grandson of 17 said it was delicious. The macaroni cheese with butternut squash my granddaughter of 6 said it was really nice best she has had. She tries them everywhere. Lol plenty chips and full bowl side veg. As was the other meals.

Nice looking building with a very sizable footprint. Friendly and helpful staff. Lots of dogs in when we were there which I have no issue with as I love dogs, though two were having a bit if a go at each other. Staff were really friendly and helpful, I absolutely couldn't fault them. The only real disappointment here was the food. It was average at best and overpriced. Whilst the prices weren't extortionate, they were definitely overpriced in comparison to what I get get for the same price at a local non-chain pub. £15 for a small pie and a handful of chips seemed very poor value in comparison with ... well pretty much any other pub I have been in. Shame, but I don't think I'll eat here again as nice as the bar and the staff are.

Excellent as ever. Our waiter was Chris and as always was friendly chatty and made sure we had everything we needed. A credit to the restaurant
