Costa Coffee in Stockton-on-Tees

Coffee and cake were good but the service we received today was appalling. Drive thru order was taken fine but then when we pulled up to the window there was no smile or greeting. This is unusual for this particular Costa as normally the staff are very upbeat. I asked if we could have sugar and the server responded with how many then put them in each coffee, that was fine, but thenI noticed she didn't stir them and started to put the lids on, so I asked if they could please be stirred or alternatively could we have a stirrer. The reply was "ahhh they'll be ok" followed by being handed both coffees without eye contact. No stirrer given, and not willing to stir? Still no smile or thanks, or indeed, any acknowledgement at all. Hoping for my usual good service next time, and that this may have just been a blip today 😔

Stopped here for a quick coffee. Staff were so friendly and helpful. Chatty, smiling, quick to spot and assist customers who needed a bit of extra help. Chatting while they made my drinks. Even came out and asked if the dog would like fresh water. The bowl was dirty. It came back spotless and with fresh water in it. Fantastic service. If I lived near by would go there regularly just fur the customer service. Thank you to all.

I ordered a toastie and coffee, the toastie was only cooked on one side. Very strange ! The coffee was fine. However, the place is filthy ! The floors and windows etc aren't regularly cleaned. Very dusty and old food on the floor. I pass here every day but won't be calling again. I will get my morning coffee elsewhere.

Appalled at the experience we’ve had, went through the drive through for two drinks and were told that the lids were a bit rubbish by the time we had left the drive through half of the drink was spilt down me, told the staff but they were useless, really unhappy why give a drink that’s full a faulty lid?

Stopped off for a oat milk latte this morning, As usual the coffee is good. I've have to highlight the poor standard of outside cleanliness. Whoever the duty manager is today needs to have a "stand back and look" at the exterior. This is not the first time this has been picked up on. To look like this at the start of the day is poor. As Jack Reacher would say "details matter"

‘The best Costa Coffee you will ever visit!’ The title of my previous review. The whole atmosphere of this place has changed, it used to feel like visiting a friend… now it’s just like any other chain- transactional and effortless. Such a shame as I used to look forward to visiting this Costa and speaking with staff.

Be warned Parking by parking eye, used to be 3 hours but apparently it's recently changed to 1 and a half hours with poor signage. Result is a £60 parking charge utter rip-off, won't be back

I've just been fined £100.00 It says in the car park that its for costa customers only. you park there then get a hefty fine. Just don't go there, its a very expensive coffee and costa don't care.

The drinks are great, but please clean up the area near the entrance, there's a floss toothpick and tissues that have been there for like a year now. I always have an urge to bring my brush and sweep it all up, honestly..the place will feel much neater if you do so

I’ve been working at Amazon NCL2 (across the A19) for about six months now, and the staff at Costa Drive Thru Wolviston - particularly Heather and Aimee, who’ve both been the light of my mornings on this project, are all 5 star people. Polite, cheery, welcoming. It’s been an absolute pleasure getting breakfast most every day at this branch. The best Costa I’ve been to (and I’ve been to a lot!) hands down.

Like every costa but slow service

Staff could be a bit more friendly and coffee could be hot staff where not happy when I complained and where not happy when had to do coffee again. We use Costa coffee all the time as we love our Costa coffee but most of the time the staff are not so welcoming that's why we have started using the machines at the garages which is very disappointing as we use to like sitting in for our breakfast and coffee.

Good place BUT let down by the car park...it's a mess, always a lot of litter lying around.i call in at least a couple of times a week and it's always the same.Called in 12/12 and car park still a disgusting mess !! Called in Sept 20th and car park still a disgusting mess !

Little slow on service at drive through but training up new staff so not bothered as everyone needs to learn on the job

Staff really nice lemon and coconut cake good but caramel latte to strong and not enough caramel flavour but would go again

No idea why I continue to go here. 4th time they've forgot to put sauce on my bun. Why bother to ask? Not enjoyed a drink from here in a long time either. McDonalds it is.

Coffee was nice. Got a large capo which needed an extra shot as its very large. Place was ok but could've looked cleaner outside as rubbish all over the car park.

Very poor stock levels on the shelves and noone filling them up. Always feels to me in here that the drive in people get priority whilst I have stood quite sometime to get served. Other than that a normal Costa

My friend and I went to costa drive through Billingham recently, Looking forward to our toasty, coffee and a catch up unfortunately the toasty was two slices of bread with very little filling it looked like a 3 year old had made it then thrown it in the bag, when I asked for a serviette the reply was you are a mucky pup then, I am old enough to be their Grandma, I may have found it funny if the toasty was a actual toasty and edible. My friend didn’t want to make a complaint That is why I am writing this review instead. Unfortunately we will not be going to this costa coffee again. Mucky pup

Everytime we go passed it is closed went in to get a coffee at 9 am and got told they don't open till 0915 even though the signs say 8am and Google says 6 am. Been passed multiple times now and its always closed rather disappointing.

Guys.. When your sat working on your laptop in the corner undoubtedly working on rotas ect, please walk to the partition wall in front of you, mainly the brown wood and have a look at the thick dust on it, then the window seat sills there filthy, and so was my cutlery. Take the opportunity of down time to give the place a thorough clean. It's over due.

Never have enough stock, close shop doors when the drive through is busy !! Asked for cream on top of drink only to find they forgot to put it on yet again, will drive passed from now on !

They apparently close at 7pm. Nice of them to have everything closed by 5:30pm...

Best staff in any take away or drive through I've been to since lockdown started last year. They all deserve a huge bonus.

Operated by people who clearly do not know what they are doing. Could not conduct a business meeting outside for two people, ignorant to current “rule of 6”. Use Costas throughout the country as meeting points during business hours, with last one being yesterday where it was no issue outside. Manager could not explain current regulations.

Friendly staff member able to offer suggestions without being frustrated at me for asking for recommendation. Able to establish quick rapport which showed person centred service, unique for a drive thru experience. ...still prefer Starbucks...but the service won me over on this occassion.

Lovely place with nice friendly staff the food and drinks were nice as well and we only waiting 5 mins at most before our drinks were ready. so I would recommend this place if you like coffee shops and hanging out with people.
