Popped in for lunch . It was quiet but relaxing. The food was very good , lots of choices and the service very attentive.

Shown to our table as soon as we arrived waiter was with us within minutes drinks served promptly Order taken for food it came within 10 minutes pipping hot Turkey was so juicing and tender came within all the trimmings veg served separately also pipping hot the Gravy omg it was amazing so tasty the lunch was a definite 10/10 will most definitely be back 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

We were booked for 5.45 and arrived 10 minutes before drinks served quickly but had to catch the eye of waitress to order food I appreciate it is cooked fresh but it was nearly an hour before we got food My grandson caiden had fillet at £35 I thought it was pricey he said he enjoyed it our meals were all reasonably priced my daughter had special pizza again lovely Graham had scampi which he liked I had parmo which I enjoyed but the triple cooked chips are to big so were dry the cheese cakes are delicious it's obviously a popular place as all tables were all full it's the only place to eat in Wanyard so no competition but I would return

It was ok. Nothing much to write home about. Distinct lack of vegetables and salad with dishes. Nothing wrong with the food.

What an amazing place, full of ambiance, clean , service second to none, food perfect and very competitively priced. Will definitely go again

Friendly, cosy, spacious, ample parking, good choice of drinks, log fire and relaxing atmosphere. Good pub. Didn't have food in the restaurant but I'm sure it's good.

Just had an Anniversary meal, it was probably one of the meals I have had,the staff were brilliant,so helpful with my wife in a wheelchair the bar area is welcoming and spotlessly clean,had a sneaky look in restaurant side which is not open on a Monday and was really impressed we will definitely be back.

I just had possibly THE BEST meal of my entire life! I ordered the surf ‘n’ turf at The Stables, Wynyard, for the first time. It was simply BEAUTIFUL - 10/10 or 100/100 - the steak was cooked to perfection, and did not just melt in the mouth but also on my fork as I cut into it! The chunky chips were perfect - nicely well done and ‘fluffy’ inside - and assisted me well in mopping up the juices from the steak and oil from the tasty salad. Washed down with a large glass of red wine, I almost asked for bread so I could completely clean my plate. Congratulations Chef! The food, drink, service and atmosphere have always been spot on at The Stables. Fan of cheesecake? Try their freshly homemade wizardry!

I came into this place not knowing what to expect, I requested for a cider first and alas the cider was original,not mixed. I requested for hanging kebab with chips and it was as if I have never had a chip or hanging kebab before, it was smokey, soft, and so delicious. I can't ask for a better meal. This is a 5***** restaurant. I recommend, please try this place

Absolutely beautiful food and a great venue. The staff were brilliant, so polite. This was our first visit and I'm sure we will be back.

Called in for drinks, went and sat in the bar area, which was very busy. Lots of people enjoying themselves on a Friday night. Didn't venture into the other side of the pub on this occasion but have dined in there on other occasions and not been disappointed with the food.

Just had a pint of real ale - should serve more real ale choices! Eventhough never had any food this time the Sunday lunches looked very good and everybody seemed to be enjoying them!

A lovely meal with the family for my birthday. I had a lovely steak and we had enough space to get cheesecakes for our desserts.

Dined here last night with my husband and his brother, who lives in America. The meal was excellent, and the service was fab with no expectations of receiving a tip, which was nice. We always tip for an excellent service so well deserved and pleased John liked my recomendation of the stables.

Lovely place to have dinner with family. Waiters and waitresses were very nice and helpful. The surf-turf special was yum, the king prawns were very fresh. Carbonara was not authentic carbonara recipe but it had its own characters. Great experience having dinner at The Stable :)

The food side is very good . The Stable side ( pub ) hmmm not my cup of tea Bar staff fantastic 👏 Trying to get served around people sat at the bar but won't move for you is so rude & if you face doesn't fit then people become ruder . Wynyard is a lovely area but in the Stables pub there's a lot of Pretentious Prixxs Not for me !!

Excellent Sunday roast. You need to book unless you eat in the bar, then no booming required.

The restaurant staff were welcoming and accommodating, providing generous portions and even allowing slight customisations to my meal. Additionally, their service was quick, which contributed to an overall positive dining experience. Would recommend.

Food is lovely. Bar staff decide to clean tables in an empty bar when there is a queue rather than serve drinks. Signs saying no ball games but young children running riot outside whilst their parents get drunk - not a great environment for those wanting to sit and have a nice relaxing drink.

Lovely to sit out in the sun. Great local scenery and fair prices. Pub a bit dark inside but nice

Great Sunday lunch and a good price too.

It was just one woman that let the customer experience down, an older lady (possibly the landlady?), she’s like a little bulldog and should be kept away from customers. The rest of the bar staff were friendly.

A great pub and restaurant with lovely staff and management. Our little boy is in a wheelchair so we only tend to go to the restaurant and they are always super accommodating and thoughtful towards us. The food is always amazing and I would recommend the hanging kebab, steak and ale pie or the mince and dumplings.

Easily one of the best Sunday lunches on Teesside. The meats are super tasty and the vegetables are fresh. I particularly like the carrots and turnip. Great beefy gravy. The potatoes skins with garlic are the best I've ever had. The parmo is an excellent choice of you're looking for something super filling. The Stables is our go-to and never disappoints. Danny and his team are always on hand to provide top notch service — highly recommended!

Nice pub serving very nice reasonably priced food

Some of the staff are really nice and friendly some are very rude and ignorant. We went here tonight and it was dead which is surprising as it is the the only place to eat on Wynyard. Too expensive. A steak is £35 + extra for a sauce.

Great food,one of the best Sunday lunches I've had for some time, the staff are friendly and helpful.

Called in on the off chance for Sunday lunch. The food was superb. We both had beef and it almost melted in the mouth. To follow we both had sticky toffee pudding which was the best I've ever had. Four stars for service as I feel they could have been more attentive. Having said that they were busy Atmosphere only three as I found it really noisy. On a weekday it may be better. Having said that over all it's a great place to eat and I will return.

Went in for a drink with my partner on a bank holiday Monday, wasn't really busy waited at the bar for 10 mins, never seen a staff member so left!

Great pub for aeal with really good quality food. Had a couple of pints of neck oil at £6 per pint which is expensive as I'm not from the area but guess this is the typical price nowadays. The food is incredible.

Good food with nice decor would recommend

Called in for lunch and had scampi & chips. Something didn’t agree with my stomach a few hours later though. That aside the place was warm, cosy and the staff were very polite and welcoming.

Love this place very friendly atmosphere, staff always happy to help and nothing is ever too much trouble, the food is amazing and plentiful.

When lots of people are in poor acoustics make it very noisy in the bar. Restaurant is spot on, food is excellent.

Brilliant, we were a bit late getting there so they put us in the bar area but let us order food. The venue is really nice, the food was absolutley delicious the staff were fantastic. Couldn't fault the place, highly recommended!

No wifi, we asked two staff members as our phones did not have signal, but "do not have any". Terry's Chocolate Orange Cheesecake was delicious (a part from the cream). Nice area and parking available.

Food was very good after a sticky start there was 6 of us and the forgot to cook 2 of our meals so we had to eat when our family were nearly finished. But no big deal .

We’ve been to The Stables a few times and have never been disappointed. Meal was lovely, staff fantastic and attentive. The atmosphere is always brilliant, can’t fault the place.

Nice authentic traditional food, polite atmosphere.

This was my first visit. I thoroughly enjoyed the meal. Although it was busy the service was good. The dessert was excellent.

Lovely surroundings, average food, quite slow service considering there were 4 staff. I had lasagne (from "specials" board) which was decidedly average and was served with ciabatta bread and nothing else. Tasted rather bland sadly. Prices are quite high considering food is average.

I was surprised of the state of outside of the establishment first impressions count weeds all over the front hanging basket hanging on for dear life a half wooden barrel with cigarette ends in not welcoming at all first time been food over priced for what it is I don't mind paying for food that is value for money no check backs asked for dessert menu which was given but was sick of waiting for someone to come over I have heard it as been took over by the Tontine hopefully their can pull it round.

Good experience had there. Would go again easily and recommend it. Food some meals great, some meals weaker. With a larger party there were some annoying scheduling requests like deposit and meals needed in advance. But this is for the benefit of the restaurant to run.

Food was great. Good service. Me and the wife had to eat in the bar area. Spoilt by the local lads at the bar swearing. But hey. Its a pub. Few manners wouldn't have gone a miss though.

So disappointed. We went for lunch on Tuesday. Lots of customers waiting outside for opening. A rather grumpy guy opened up later than advertised. No apologies, or hospitality. Inside TV screen playing dance music , no staff providing menus , just a complete lack of customer care. Menu looked great but after 5 minutes feeling ignored we left .

The bar gets busy on a weekend, as expected, but always a good atmosphere. I'd always book into the restaurant for food as it gets busy during peak times (weekends/tea) Food is always nice and staff are friendly. My only request would be more outside seating :-) But otherwise cannot fault it, always a good night

Lovely place.Try the black pudding starter it is to die for. My only fault the fillet was underseasoned and I asked for and served a pepper sauce there was a balsamic dressing on the salad I forgot about. So the sauce was not as good due to that. Otherwise nice food slightly overpriced.

Outside seating area is great for socially distanced drinks. Service was very attentive. Contactless card payments make the whole experience nice and easy during covid times.

2nd time here and once again, fantastic service and food. We had no booking, and it's always busy, and we're asked if we'd be OK eating in the bar area. After a couple minutes we were accommodated in the main dining area, due to a no show booking, and served immediately. My appetite wasn't upto much that day and I was able to order from the kids menu which was a surprisingly good portion none the less. Others in our party ordered main courses and starters. A great atmosphere and inclusion into conversation with staff. Clean, fast service and really good quality food and drink. Definatley will recommend

Shocking!!!!! 18:00 - Called to enquire whether they were doing takeaway, informed yes what would I like to order, informed I would call back, just needed to look at menu. 18:11 - Called to place order, informed not doing takeaway due to having 6 orders on! Stated I had just called 11 minutes ago…. Seriously shocking customer service! From now on I’ll make sure I go elsewhere 😡😡😡

It was very rowdy in the bar section, the restaurant side was very nice. I had fish and chips, the fish was very greasy so I didn't eat all that much, the chunky chips however, we're amazing. I didn't think the menu was very varied either to be honest.
