Can you beat a Parmo that’s gorgeous and costs £5 on Mondays and Tuesdays? Parmo spot on, chips spot on. Might have even squeeeeeeezed in a dessert too. Will definitely be back.

Went for the £5 parmo offer and it was awesome. Already planning on going back. Staff were really friendly and made sure you felt well looked after.

Parmo is so good. Tender chicken. Pizza Hawaiian so nice thin and soft. Good service. Nice family atmosphere. Monday Tuesday Wednesday have promotion 5 pounds. Lucky that this place is close to my relatives house so we can walk here.

Great family-friendly local! Fabulous value for food and great range of drinks, with a free kids bouncey castle at weekends. Parmos are amazing, Sunday Roast HUGE amount of tasty food, with Claire and her team working extremely hard to keep standard high. Well done Team Teal 👏🏼

I recently visited The Teal Arms with my family for Sunday lunch. The meat selection was impressive, though notably lacking chicken. The portions were generous, and the meat was moist. The vegetables were well-cooked and pleasant. However, the mash potato, roasties, and gravy were quite bland, which made the overall meal nice but unremarkable. The price was amazing, offering great deals and very reasonable for four main courses with dessert and four drinks. The pub itself is in a beautiful location, well-decorated, and well-maintained, with a stunning beer garden. The staff were friendly and helpful. We left happy with the experience and would return again through the week.

Monday and Tuesday parmo and pizzas £5 is a bargain all fresh food could ask for any more great value for your money had to try before taking the pictures lovely

4 of us went today after hearing about the parmo/pizza £5 deal on Facebook. We were absolutely gobsmacked!! Talk about value for money! Service was amazing, the guy behind the bar met us with a smile and was accommodating when our choice of whisky wasn’t available. We wasn’t expecting much for £5 each but we got way more than expected, in fact it was the best meal we have all had in years. Definitely the best parmo I have ever tasted. The home cut chips were to die for. Service and food was absolutely excellent. We will 100% be returning xx

Didn't realise how good this place was until I saw it on the Parmo Banter FB page and tried it for myself. Mon/Tues pizza or parmo for a fiver! For a minute forget what a fabulous deal that is. What makes this special is the quality of the food. Tasty well cooked decent portions. Parmo perfect for me as I do like them crisp. Lots of people enjoying themselves although still free tables. Friendly bar staff and fantastic selection of beer and lager on draught. We'll be back 😊

Good food and very reasonable prices. They had a bouncy castle there so the children could go and play while I had a pint with my wife. We'll be back.

I have always been a regular visitor to the teal arms when in the area. The food has always been good, and very value for money.. however after my visit yesterday I will not be returning.. Whilst enjoying my curry I chewed and ate something hard, thought it might be well cooked chicken but I continued to eat and found chucks of sharp plastic in the dish from a takeaway tub.. only to assume they have reheated the rice in the microwave in a cracked and damaged tub. Sharp (50p sized) shards of plastic are not what I expected in my food. I brought this to the attention of the waitress who said "Let me show the kitchen" no apology and surprisingly never returned. After 20 minutes of waiting and watching her continue about her day serving others and not coming over to me I frustratedly left, to which she said thank you for coming! Shocked I was... Ive left with no update from the chef, no apology, no nothing..

Excellent value...9/10 for the parmo. Relaxed atmosphere at a peak time..5pm.

After people raving about this place parmo for a fiver thought I would give it a go sorry to say it was very greasy and crispy before anyone says what do you want for a fiver SOMETHING edible

Child and dog friendly. I paid 8 quid for my hot shot and 7 quid for an original. The quality of the food was fantastic especially for the price! Will be back with the kids next time

This is a review over three meals over a two week period. And to be fair, it was period were they have their £5 deal on. My partner ordered the same meals on each occasion. (Boring I know). Me pizza. Partner hot shot parmo. The first meal, both were very good. Second. Long time to wait. But very very good. Third. My pizza. I did order a different pizza on this occasion. Previous 2 hot shot, this one meat feast. Freshly cooked but very bland. I can't say it was bad but not good either. My partner. Previous 2 really good, particularly number 2. Unfortunately the last one came out within 8 minutes and had obvious been cooked previously. It was very tough. My partner left at least half, were the prebious 2 she ate in full. To put be fair head on. The meals were really good, considering they only cost £5. The quantity was really good also. Its just the last meal. The cause of the slightly lower score.

We love this place, they do a great Sunday roast. Reasonable price for quality food! Fantastic atmosphere for children and safe playground.

Family meal out, there were easily over 20 of us and we pre ordered the food which was great! So easy to know people had already decided and we could just tell the staff when we were ready for food. All started off great, food came out around 20/25 minutes after we had ask which we all thought was really quick considering there were over 20 of us, which was great! However , when eating we felt like the member of staff was watching over us and as soon as 1 person had took their last mouthful the staff member removed the plate. Our poor nanna who had travelled from Thirsk for this meal was still chewing her last bite before her plate was taken away, which we all felt was too rushed. Empty glasses were being taken away whilst we were eating which is fair enough but when the glasses are been taken from across the table whilst you’re trying to enjoy your meal was disrespectful I thought. Once everyone had finished there it meal we were opting to stay for some more drinks and all have a catch up however we felt that rushed to get out of the place we just left and went elsewhere. Glasses were being taken that weren’t even finished. Just a quick tip for staff in future, do not try and rush customers!! Other than that we enjoyed the food and the place was clean, there was also a little park for the kids which was great!

Had Sunday lunch today for my mams 85 birthday have been before and enjoyed it but today wasn’t good waited quite a while for food but as a table of 8 was understandable about the wait. Food came out with one portion of peas , swede , cauliflower cheese , and mixed veg. No way was it enough to feed eight people had to ask for more mashed potatoes were yuk funny colour and glupy meat is not from a joint of meat it’s processed packaged meat overall we spent a lot of money and was quite disappointed also the staff need to smile a bit more

Had heard that the Sunday lunch here was very good so decided to try today, it was about 12.30 and we found a table no problem, however would not sit there again as near the door to the toilets and outside area and kids were in and out so quite draughty. We had the turkey Sunday lunch, there was plenty of meat, together with a Yorkshire pudding,roast potatoes and mash with gravy, vegetables came separate, more than enough for 2 and extra gravy. Very good value, think it was around £9.00 each.

The teal arm's is a popular pub in ingleby barwick it is a good place for a parmo they are very nice indeed my partner and I had them I had a normal one and my partner had a hotshot one they were both excellent and good value for £6 a head as you can see from these pics very highly recommend the staff are really great and make you so welcome.

Stopped in for a pint, The decent ale was off so ended up paying £5 for a Madri whixh was pretty brutal to say the least. At those prices there are other, better, local choices. Smart enough venue with beer garden though.

Had a Sunday dinner there was very nice all the meats were good and the veg was fresh.

Amazing food for amazing almost unbelievable prices the portion sizes and quality was perfect maby slightly on the large side if anything as non of us could quite finish with heavy stomach's, very well presented, and all staff we encountered were polite and happy to see us, we went for a family lunch 7 of us all ordered the parmesan with propper chips, slaw a bit of salad and choice of sauce, great place for good food top marks all round. The burgers also look amazing I glanced one passing to a nearby table and it looked epic, pretty sure it was a brioche bun with a thick meat burger draped in cheese with a skewer through the top no doubt my next order👍.

Excellent Sunday Lunch for two, with a pint each under 30 quid. You cannot go wrong. Excellent service as well.

Great way to have an early light dinner for three is us, none are big eaters so the starters were perfect to share. We normally go between 4 -5 pm so it's not too busy. Wheelchair access and during the warmer weather it is lovely to sit outside. The bar staff are very helpful and pleasant. Toilets very clean.

Had food a few times here. Very consistent. Had 3 courses for 15. I was definitely not disappointed for the price. The food was beautiful. There was far too much! Starters we had buttered mushrooms and nachos. Followed by chicken parmo with triple cooked chips (like a lot) Was so full we had to take desert home which was cheese cake decorated with a white and milk chocolate sauce. The time and effort took to look nice when we got home was a really nice touch. Staff were so friendly and not a bad pint either. 5* WD

What a lovely place, fabulous Sunday roast and great team work very polite and helpful. I was there on Easter Sunday and they were busy organising an Easter egg hunt for the little ones .. lovely. Definitely come again.

I cannot fault the food but the service is horrific the owners sat in one corner thinking they are the Mitchell’s they are rude an unwelcoming i can’t say I would visit again will just add a quick edit to say that after my review was read I was asked to leave laughable place this is let welcome the next fool that think they can do better

Cannot underate food as its fab but there's no heating warm enough to serve families or babies. I went for food between 2 pm to 3pmI had to keep my outer garments on to keep warm. Also all the white walls with sayings need some colour its not a hospital ward. White with grey wordings, sorry. Where is the xmas spirit. Lovely burgundy and dark green walls would look lovely and homely this time of year.

The Teal is a loverly pub, clean and tidy through out with contemporary decor inside and a simple but attractive beer garden. It is dog friendly as are the locals. Service is great and swift with a gadget on the table, one button for when you're ready to order and another when you're ready to pay. I regret not taking a photo, as the food is wonderfully presented. The chips are irregular chunky and cooked to a perfect dark colour, it doesn't come more home cooked than this. Now I orderes the Parmesan, for those from further afield, colloquially know as a parmo, and came second in the national cooking compotition. A large butterfly chicken breast smothered in béchamel sauce and topped with greated cheese and baked till the chicken is sumptuously moist. Served with chunky coleslaw and garnished with mixed lettuce leaves and a sweet balsamic drizzle. All round a pleasent experience🙂

Nice community pub that needs more support from the community it serves. Use it or lose it! The new management have got rid of the undesirables that used to use the Teal in the past and it is now a family friendly happy pub that serves excellent food in a convivial atmosphere. Excellent sun trap of a beer garden at the rear with a play area and play equipment for kids. Several televisions for watching sport but they don't invade on your space if you aren't sport orientated. Their Covid arrangements are some of the best I've come across where each table has an individual call button. No need to try to catch the servers eye! All in all the Teal is well worth a visit.

Teal is a really good pub to relax, but I think they could do with more staff to serve drinks to eliminate long waiting time for drinks.xxx
