The best restaurants in South Tyneside North East

Only dropped two stars because it was freezing inside and it was nearly empty so atmosphere was zero. Two for a birthday bottomless brunch, cocktails brilliant food hot and very tasty with excellent service and the staff singing happy birthday made for a great tuesday afternoon, ( we work stupid shifts ) well done all.

Been over a year since I have dined at this establishment. I fondly remembered and yearned for another one of the succulent spicy vegetable wraps! Unfortunately, if I wait another year for my next one, it will still be too soon! I am educated enough to know that an onion is a vegetable, but I didn't expect it to be the only vegetable present in the driest wrap known to mankind. I expect a gallon of water should suffice to return my mouth to a quenched state. Very disappointing as my previous experience here was nourishing to say the least! An off day for the chef or maybe the staff forgot to go to the green grocers, who knows?! The next time I think about ordering from here I may just eat a hand full of sand, this way I will be just as satisfied and save myself the money and heartache at the same time! I also cant understand how onion bhajis and garlic sauce is classed as spicy? All in all, my night has been a fruitless endeavour and what a waste of calories! Do better!

ordered a hot shot pizza buy one get one free the pizzas i got was not hot shot pizza will not be going back there again not happy

Pizza dough was uncooked. Pizza was oily the box was soaked through with oil and still wet. Worst Dominos I’ve ever had. Totally inedible. I thought it was delivered too quickly. No-one ate it. Waste of £26

Absolutely amazing traditional Chinese. Home made chips too....the best❤️

We had a few drinks in this fairly basic pub and ordered up a doggy sausage for our canine companion. Lots of water for pooches. We sat at a table out back in the sun and enjoyed the early evening sunshine after a long walk around the coast. We’d been in a different pub earlier in the afternoon and four similar drinks here came in at a competitive price yet the other place was full and this one quite empty. The staff were pleasant and they took credit card payment. We would return.

Great Sunday Cavery; Good price and lots of food... the two meat meal was good value. Great Bar staff as well and very helpfull

Can’t recommend this place enough! Amazing l. welcoming staff who were very eager to make sure our time here was the best it could be. Food was fantastic, portion sizes are very filling so worth every Penny and very tasty. Offered us a wide selection of drinks and had colouring in things for the children. Only a short walk away from lots of tourist attractions in the town which makes it ideal. Will definitely be back regularly.

With all the choices of restaurants and takeaways nowadays, the only pizza choice we don’t argue with is the quality and taste of the half and half pizza, Sometimes they deliver late or rarely the wrong toppings but 9 out of 10 for flavours

Called in here for a quick cuppa and also had an orange and chocolate muffin. Cafe airy and light but noisy with children running about and crying. Would visit again when quieter.

We’ve gone to Superfry for quite awhile, but since it’s been taken over the quality has become incredibly poor. Ordered 2 items and they forgot one! Chicken was so dry it verged on inedible and even the chips were undercooked but yet soggy? I will not be returning Waste of calories

Ordered 2 piza’s & 2 portion of fries between my self and 2 children . It was out on the table in less than 5 mins the piza’s weren’t even cooked they were shocking we were all starving the kids had one slice each The fries were rubbish as well big portions but rubbish quality should of just gone to McDonald’s and that’s saying something. Probably the worst meal I’ve ever paid for don’t go there for food shocking

You don’t change your name if your good , this has changed its name . The food tonight was a rubbish . Duck was over and over cooked , BBQ ribs in gravey . Worse £27 I’ve ever spent …. I spoken to shop … I let then know : bad bad business
