The best restaurants in South Tyneside North East

Called in here for a quick cuppa and also had an orange and chocolate muffin. Cafe airy and light but noisy with children running about and crying. Would visit again when quieter.

We’ve gone to Superfry for quite awhile, but since it’s been taken over the quality has become incredibly poor. Ordered 2 items and they forgot one! Chicken was so dry it verged on inedible and even the chips were undercooked but yet soggy? I will not be returning Waste of calories

You don’t change your name if your good , this has changed its name . The food tonight was a rubbish . Duck was over and over cooked , BBQ ribs in gravey . Worse £27 I’ve ever spent …. I spoken to shop … I let then know : bad bad business

first time we have visited, came for sunday lunch. we had pre booked a table, but it wasnt that busy. we were shown to our table, but took awhile before the drinks order was taken. we also waited a few minutes before the menu was brought to us. there was 3 choices of meat, beef pork or chicken. we opted for the beef. the meal was served hot and nicely presented, with a gravy boat so you could pour on your own. the staff were lovely, very friendly and helpful. The meal itself was very nice and for £7 we enjoyed it. Yes I would return again.

Wouldn’t go back staff are not good, Very rude and disrespectful The food isn’t the best but the staff are the worst

I ordered a chicken tikka nan last night and chips. I had a menu that said 10% off if you order online so I downloaded the app went to collect it then came back home to find 2 short hairs in my food. Very disappointment and will not be going there again

Went for food with friends on Saturday. All I ordered was chips. Their food came out at different so i waited. They had all finished their food so I asked someone at the bar about my chips- he said he would look into it. I never seen him again. 15 mins later I went back to the bar and asked someone else. I never seen her again. Somebody came to the table to remove plates- I asked her about the plate of chips. She didn't return back to the table either. Finally my friend went to the and asked a final time. About 1 hour and 45 minutes after first ordering I was brought out an undercooked plate of chips. The server placed them down and simply walked away. I was offered no apology nor an explanation. This has put me off from returning. It is a shame as my friends said their food was nice.

Was hood value staff were really nice and i was served very quick. Place was very clean and tidy i love the look of the outside

Took the lady I work with who has special needs for lunch today. Food was delicious but what made the visit special was the lovely welcome we had from Susie. She went over and above to make us feel welcome and chatted to my charge for a long time, which absolutely made her day. Being kind costs nothing and Susie proved that today. Lovely experience, will definitely call again

Called in on my lunch break and was left feeling a little underwhelmed. I ordered a ham and cheese toastie alongside a cuppa and a slice of lemon drizzle cake. Everything looked amazing, however it was a little style over substance as things were all just okay at a push. The toastie was a little over done for my liking, and could have benefitted from more filing, the cake was very dry and felt like it had perhaps been sat on display for a while. It was pretty pricey too. The location is lovely, cute decor and fab that you can wander around the lovely garden centre. Service was also nice and friendly. It may have been that I just caught them on a bad day, I would still return to give them another visit.

Didn't arrive and then sent a message 30 minutes after the order was meant to arrive saying the order has been cancelled. Normally rep'd this place 🤷🏼‍♂️

If a could give this place 0 star a would. Ordered a pizza, said it would be half an hour, no show, then phoned again, said it would be 20 mins, came too the door only for it too be the wrong pizza, phoned up said they where busy and will send another one out, rather not have one now, probs spat in me pizza

Avoid this place at all costs , ordered food from here , delivery driver can't even use a sat nav , then calls his shop to accuse me of lying about where i live , phoned then shop who then asked me to cancel it on online , as they didn't know how to , driver then turns up and starts with an attitude towards myalef because he couldn't find he was told to leave and the shop couldn't be bothered about his behave raging is in an understatement

Poor quality food kebab meat and chips tasted like they were off yesterday Ordered kebab pizza who on earth has jalapeños on it not enough cheese on pizzas tasted like tomato only everything was cold

We ordered 1 hamburger (no pickles), 1 mayo chicken (2 mayonnaise & no lettuce), 4 chicken nuggets, 1 ketchup, 1 large double cheeseburger saver meal, 1 medium fries & 1 large fries. Our meal was served cold, the fries had no salt on and were stone cold. The hamburger came with no mustard/ no onion/ no ketchup. The large double cheeseburger came with no mustard & no onions. I would understand if the restaurant had no pickles/ no onions or no mustard but it doesn’t take a genius to get a staff member to make customers aware that there isn’t any of this incase they may want to change their mind and want something else.
