Greggs in South Tyneside

Wouldn’t go back staff are not good, Very rude and disrespectful The food isn’t the best but the staff are the worst

The food is greggs you know what you get BUT the service is shocking when on thur 12.30pm the que was out the door only 1 person serving and the other doing just eat orders we donot want to be standing out the door in the cold and rain need to get more staff

Purchased 2 packs of stotties 9am on the 15th July as travelling away. We opened one pack of stottie today 16th and noticed a small dark green dot, I picked it out thinking nothing of it. But my husband then noticed the date on the pack it was dated 14th July ....I was sold OUT OF DATE FOOD.... The 2nd pack is dated 17th Because I am now too far away from the store to do anything about it, but I am furious that they think they can sell out of date food to customers and get away with it.

Not a fan. Was around this Greggs for 2 days and visited the Greggs twice with the people I was with as they wanted a Greggs. Both days, the sausage rolls were stone cold. With the trays full! Not nice. This is unheard of at the Greggs where I live? Never known it to actually sell anything but a warm sausage roll. Below average for a Greggs

Searched all over for Pudsey Ears today and nowhere had any left. Rang and spoke to a lovely lady whom said she had 2 left and offered to put 1 away for me until i get in to collect. I will have a very happy little girl thanks to the kind lady.

Sausage roll was cold but Cookie was nice. Seats inside to sit in and staff member said have a nice day (friendly)

Really love greggs normally but the past two times I have had sarnies from here I have had hairs in them. Its really bad. I have had to throw them away twice. I just don't buy from there anymore.

Not much you can say about a pie shop.sell bread and cakes.all over the UK.first shop opened in Gosforth in the 60s

A great place for sausage rolls and cakes . Everything I bought was fresh and tasty. I would return everytime I visit the town. you can enjoy your food at a table or take away.

Great food for a take away outlet its a bite of funny place to find as it is in a industry trade part but just like Greg's very good food

Not much you can say about Greggs other than it is what it is and this place is no different. You can expect the usual range of breakfast goodies, sandwiches, wraps, salads, cakes and pastries etc the vast majority of which are freshly made on the premises. Prices are good value but for even better value look out for their offers which at present are Soup and a Savoury £2 or A Drink and a Baguette or Wrap for £3 which offers even better value. If you do go for the Drink and Baguette option read the label carefully as they are not all included in the deal. This Greggs is extremely busy from 12pm to 1pm and often sells out of certain items so if you want to get you choice of food whilst avoiding the queues get there between 11.30am and 12pm There’s plenty of free car parking but do remember that re-joining the A185 especially if you are turning right (heading back towards South Shields) can take a while due to the volume of traffic but you can always cut through the Bede Trading Estate to re-join the main Newcastle Road as an alternative. Almost forgot the lasses are canny helpful too!
