Went for food with friends on Saturday. All I ordered was chips. Their food came out at different so i waited. They had all finished their food so I asked someone at the bar about my chips- he said he would look into it. I never seen him again. 15 mins later I went back to the bar and asked someone else. I never seen her again. Somebody came to the table to remove plates- I asked her about the plate of chips. She didn't return back to the table either. Finally my friend went to the and asked a final time. About 1 hour and 45 minutes after first ordering I was brought out an undercooked plate of chips. The server placed them down and simply walked away. I was offered no apology nor an explanation. This has put me off from returning. It is a shame as my friends said their food was nice.

…..is part of the Greenfingers Garden Centre near the main shopping part of South Shields. Four of us (2adults and 2children) went for Sunday lunch and was very impressed by the meal. (The garden could wait another day). Quality, quantity and service was excellent. We all had 2 courses each and thoroughly enjoyed it. Prices are reasonable especially as you get a lot for your money.

South ForeshoreImproved since last time. Looked more roomy and airey inside. Fish and chips though getting more dear every year were perfect. Really enjoyed then. Will be back again. Seemed more on the menu too not just fish. Had burgers too etc

Sea RoadWe booked the function room 28th April for our mams wake and we were blown away with the hospitality the food was superb the staff were very friendly and made us feel very welcome, the food was laid out perfectly and the quality of the food was lush everyone complimented on it can I thank the manager and manageress and all the amazing staff for everything yous were brilliant I can honestly say if anyone wants to book a function room phone the sundial you will be glad you did, we were. Thanks again to everyone

Mill DamNice bar restaurant. Food was good value for money. Lovely view looking out over the Tyne. If you time it right you can watch the ferry go out

5 Mile End RoadI went to Life of Riley on Sunday/Monday morning 4th/5th August 2024. We used to call it Spiker Riley as in the past we have had attempts to spike our drinks. The other night we were there till 02:30 and the security in there were absolutely fantastic. One guy inside spotting any trouble and two guys on the door responding. The guys were professional polite and strong when required.My wife and myself felt totally safe as there is the usual mix of Bumpers on Hairy Mikers night. Excellent work guys.
