The best restaurants in Northumberland North East

Just been on a 241 Wednesday offer. They don't have vegetarian menu but was informed they could adjust menu for me. Opted for garlic mushrooms and chips and my partner had steak pie. We waited for over an hour for our food, staff were pleasant enough. When we paid our bill we didn't get the 241 which I was led to believe we would get due to being no vegetarian option. PLEASE BEWARE for future. FOLLOWING REPLY. I AM AWARE WHAT 241 IS BUT NO WHERE ON THE MENU WE WERE GIVEN DID IT SAY 241 BUT IT US ADVERTISED ON SOCIAL MEDIA THAT WEDNESDAYS AND 241. YOU DO NOT PROVIDE A VEGETARIAN MENU BUT YOU ADVERTISE AS VEGAN FRIENDLY WHICH YOU ARE NOT. YOUR STAFF STATED YOJ COULD ACCOMMODATE MY STARTER ORDER AND SIDE AS A MAIN BUT THIS WAS NOT REFLECTED IN BILL. THE FACT THAT WE WAITED FOR OVER AN HOUR WAS ALSO AN ISSUE. ACCEPT CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM AND IMPROVE YOUR MANAGEMENT SKILLS. IT SEEMS TO BE A BIT OF A PATTERN WHEN YOU'RE ESTABLISHMENT IS GIVEN A BAD REVIEW YOU INSULT AND DEMISE. SMACKS OF CHILDISH BEHAVIOUR AND SEEMS YOU ARE A KEYBOARD WORRIER. AS STATED ABOVE I DID SPEAK TO YOUR STAFF AND I WAS INFORMED YOU DONT DO VEGETARIAN FOOD. WHERE YOU CLEARLY ADVISE YOU DO. Food good apparently but not really a village pub anymore. Called in for a pint and although there are four hand pumps there are no kegs attached to them so no proper beer. "We don't sell enough to warrant buying it in". So if you're looking for a meal probably ok but if you're wondering about a pint you'll be disappointed. Shame, it used to be good.....

Stayed here for 4 nights. Continental breakfast was fine for us and new menu for evening meal. Room ok but not serviced during our 4 nights. Mattress very soft.

Nice staff, food was cold and was rectified quickly. Took ages to take order with the table service. Got there in the end.

Me and my wife where there on Saturday for a meal the staff were very nice and friendly the food was fantastic. Highly recommended this place for food

Great pub with lovely staff there was a live band when we visited and the beer was perfect. Next time I visit I will be booking a room.

What a wonderful service, so welcoming and professional. I've had some issues with my shoulder and I go monthly for the heated massage to manage it as well as destress and keep on top of overall muscle tension. Love my camomile tea at the end too! I notice a lot of sporty types in the waiting room who say they get a lot from their thai massage, these guys are a Whitley institution!

Wow, the halloumi fries were delicious, i asked for them to be battered and they come hot and crispy the blake arms had no problem doing that. They are amazing, aswell the oreo milkshake was superb and nice and thick along with great amounts of flavour definitely will be buying again

Decent enough Costa, but not sure why I had to wait at the counter for our food, when there was enough staff to drop it across to our table, when it was ready…

I always get the meat samosas for takeout and they are the BEST!

My food was delivered cold and also had a requested sauce missing. This has never happened from Gormans before. Really disappointed
