The Railway Inn Country Cottages & Caravan Park in Northumberland

Just been on a 241 Wednesday offer. They don't have vegetarian menu but was informed they could adjust menu for me. Opted for garlic mushrooms and chips and my partner had steak pie. We waited for over an hour for our food, staff were pleasant enough. When we paid our bill we didn't get the 241 which I was led to believe we would get due to being no vegetarian option. PLEASE BEWARE for future. FOLLOWING REPLY. I AM AWARE WHAT 241 IS BUT NO WHERE ON THE MENU WE WERE GIVEN DID IT SAY 241 BUT IT US ADVERTISED ON SOCIAL MEDIA THAT WEDNESDAYS AND 241. YOU DO NOT PROVIDE A VEGETARIAN MENU BUT YOU ADVERTISE AS VEGAN FRIENDLY WHICH YOU ARE NOT. YOUR STAFF STATED YOJ COULD ACCOMMODATE MY STARTER ORDER AND SIDE AS A MAIN BUT THIS WAS NOT REFLECTED IN BILL. THE FACT THAT WE WAITED FOR OVER AN HOUR WAS ALSO AN ISSUE. ACCEPT CONSTRUCTIVE CRITICISM AND IMPROVE YOUR MANAGEMENT SKILLS. IT SEEMS TO BE A BIT OF A PATTERN WHEN YOU'RE ESTABLISHMENT IS GIVEN A BAD REVIEW YOU INSULT AND DEMISE. SMACKS OF CHILDISH BEHAVIOUR AND SEEMS YOU ARE A KEYBOARD WORRIER. AS STATED ABOVE I DID SPEAK TO YOUR STAFF AND I WAS INFORMED YOU DONT DO VEGETARIAN FOOD. WHERE YOU CLEARLY ADVISE YOU DO. ENJOY YOUR HOLIDAY 🤣

Had a Sunday lunch and it was fabulous.generous portion size and good value.

Had the steak night deal Really good steak good price Good night enjoyed by our party.

Absolutely love this place!! All the staff are brilliant, the food is great, and there's a good selection of drinks. Also very dog friendly. We stayed for two nights in our caravan and really enjoyed our time on-site. We've already booked to stay again!!

Stayed here few time now. What can I say definitely 1 of the best campsites I've been to in our caravan. Food / drink all 100% specially prawn cocktail starter 😀Henry and staff are very friendly with a warm welcoming. Excellent entertainment on weekends. I would highly recommend this place.

Very good food, showers a bit dated but work well.

The is okay. In the middle of nowhere, toilet service are lot to be said (not clean)🫣 thank goodness we was in our motorhome as own toilet 😅

Staying here at the moment on the campsite, lovely site, great location, fantastic staff amazing food highly recommended dog friendly pub and kids play area, all clean & tidy can't wait to come back, Henry and his team are so helpful & friendly thank you 😀😀😀

Before coming, I'd seen some poor reviews for this site. But all I can say is that some people must just like to complain for the hell of it. This site is absolutely great. Lovely big hardstanding pitches with water. Well manicured hedges and grass. Lovely oldy worldy pub with restaurant on site. Kids play area. Toliets and showers work. I've seen a lot worse. Staff were very helpful. Definitely will come back. Well done to the Railway Inn.

Lovely large fully serviced pitches with excellent showers and facilities. A warm welcome at the bar, and enjoyed a few meals. The best place we have stayed up North so far.

Had a lovely stop good site and host Henry and bar staff really friendly and made us feel so welcome last night in the pub but I’m afraid the toilet and shower facilities really let it down. The showers were cold, they were dirty along with the toilets and there was no toilet roll, if this was cleaned then I would stay again for the hospitality

Cozy place. Wet systems are getting old

Just back from a weekend stay at the caravan Park .Some good bad and ugly The pub good food pleasant staff . Caravan site disorganised with some pitches apparently reserved for regulars , I watched as caravans were directed past emptyhard standings on wet grass leaving deep holes in sodden area at the back of the site . The toilets facilities male were little short of disgusting rotten wood falling from bottom of showers bits falling from the shower walls into the showers shower curtains discoloured and dirty

Worst bar meal I've ever had .Got the Cod with prawns and potatoes. Prawns were burnt on one side as was the Cod. My partner had the chicken bacon and leek pie with mash and broccoli. The mash was lumpy. And the plate had water on it off the broccoli. The chicken in the pie was hard and was salvaged for her dog .Heard the Sunday dinners were good but won't be back to find out .8/2/24

Absolutely Amazing, Fantastic food , Mince and dumplings to die for. Staff were brilliant , Lovely atmosphere, dog friendly. If you haven’t been you’re missing out. Henry and Helen have a fabulous place here , make everyone welcome

Fabulous cottage with everything you need so warm and cozy. The railway inn pub is a must so welcoming and the food is amazing, we will be back.

We camped here and had a lovely meal by a warm fire. Friendly staff would go again.

Long time since we were last here but the food was as good as we remembered if not better. Lovely fire on that made for a great atmosphere and girl behind the bar was so friendly and helpful. Seats about 65 people so good for parties too, plenty of parking and wheelchair access. Open Wednesday till Sunday, from 12 noon till closing and food served 12 noon till 8pm Well worth a visit.

Miejsce ciche, położone w bliskiej odległości od interesujących nas miejsc do zwiedzenia. Możliwość zakupu jedzenia a zwłaszcza Sunday dinner, który jest niesamowity napewno dodaje plusa do całej oceny. Sam cottage bardzo ciepły z zakazem palenia, przyjazny dla zwierząt. Mogę polecić miejsce. Dziękujemy za możliwość pobytu u państwa.

Stayed 2 nights on caravan park. Clean. Quiet. Pub food good ; excellent Sunday lunch.
