The best restaurants in Alnwick Northumberland North East

Didn’t actually get to sit or eat anything which is clearly frustrating. We did wait to be attended to for probably 20 minutes during which time none of the staff had any courtesy to speak and advise availability of tables etc. Just too rude! Cakes looked good in the cabinets though 🙄. To be fair even if it was empty and the cakes were the best in the whole county, wouldn’t come back now!

We read reviews before going to Alnwick and restaurant sounded fab .. sadly Restaurant doing take away at present.so didnt sit in ..however it was honestly OUTSTANDING. NEVER tasted thai food so fresh it was my 50th and quite honestly it made my day....we got a takeaway and it was a meal we will never forget .This is a message to ANYONE who lives in or near Alnwick. If you want fresh... exceptional authentic tasting thai food packed with flavour and like to spend ure meals going..nom..nom..nom....out loud...this is the place for YOU.

I was recommended the Bari Tea Brewery by a friend and was not disappointed. The range of teas on offer was vast with many interesting flavours! I had the green ginger tea with a scone which was freshly baked and was very tasty! Service was very good and all the staff very friendly.

It has very friendly service. It’s a lovely little coffee shop that serves very tasty coffee. Everyone is very welcoming :)

What a fantastic little gem.. Advice contact or go in and leave number and they call you when table free.. We went 6.30 got call 7pm Staff amazing female owner working the tables was so warm and chatty, very informative and very efficient . Food cooked to order so please be patient and wait .. Lasagna was the best I have ever had , pasta so soft and ragu very blended and tasty with plenty of sauce .. Fantastic place , price and staff

On holiday from Yorkshire we we decided on a takeaway. We randomly picked mumbai because of its clarity with allergy ingredients. We had one starter two mains (which we had never tried before) three sides and a bread. Honestly it was the best Indian I have eaten. Another positive was there was plenty .

Found the room via a third party website. Checked some reviews on here and it seemed OK. Wish I'd dug a little deeper and read about the rooms! The high stars come because people like the food. The room was very tired. Smelt of stale cigarette smoke. Weirdly hot at night even with no heat on and window open. I wanted to cut the owners some slack as they've recently had a fire in their kitchen and know times are hard for small businesses. But then we saw an advert for their other hotel which seems to have had investment in it, the room needs some of that tlc.

Had a night's stop over on a Sunday night in Alnwick. After a quick search this lovely restaurant stood out to us. We arrived 20 mins before opening but this was not a problem we were invited in to sit and wait until opening time. We were shown to our table upstairs the restaurant is extremely stylish and immaculately clean. All the staff were excellent and the owner came over between course's for a chat which was a fantastic touch all the food was exceptional as was the service. If this restaurant was near me in London I would visit every week Alnwick has an absolute gem and I look forward to visiting again when I'm back in lovely Northumberland in June

Great place to eat. Didn't have a reservation but was given two tables put together. Very friendly, professional staff. Food was lovely and I would highly recommend.

One of the best fish and chips i’ve had. Small meal deal was good value and plenty of food. Only gripe would be the plate is small making it hard to eat without your food falling off! Definitely will be visiting again when in the area.

Came to try the restaurant. Upon arrival at 7pm the place was empty with only one customer. We asked if they had tables available for two. They said no and that were extremely busy and wouldn’t take walk ins due to demand of the restaurant. I looked around a bit confused due to emptiness. I asked is it possible to be seated before any book ins came as we would only be quick. They said no and that they had no bookings. Me and my partner were left feeling confused and disappointed. The staff just stared at us till we left. They lost out on custom and service that night. How disappointing. I would have understood if busy.

A really lovely evening, very friendly and welcoming. Delicious food and a great atmosphere, will definitely be back again soon.
