Went with a group of nine friends for a birthday celebration and the service was impeccable and the experience was Devine(even though my friend poured lemonade everywhere) would recommend to everyone especially our server fransouir who was quick and efficient. 10/10

You can see why this restaurant is award winning. Really varied and tasty menu. We over ordered but they happily let us take away our leftovers which were equally as delicious the next day! Lovely waiter too who tried to warn me I'd ordered the hottest curry on the menu!! Spicy but very good!

Really tasty food and excellent service. We hadn’t booked - it was a Tuesday - but they were really busy! Found us a table quite quickly. Food was great! Really tasty and well balanced spices.

Staff were polite and welcoming, very attentive. Managed to fit us in last minute. Food was excellent, we had lamb methi mint and chicken achari, food was succulent. Would definitely recommend. And will definitely go back if in the area.

Hands down one of the nest Indian restaurants we've ever tried. We come all the way from Edinburgh to have their food! Their Mehti Mint is out of this world! Their service is also so lovely filled with genuine care. We will be coming back soon.

A lovely spur of the moment booking when visiting Alnwick. Great meal and experience - good food, great service and pleasant ambience. Little niggle with the over seasoning of the Aloo. Recommend the Lamb Chop and Chicken Tikka starters- superb.

On holiday in Alnwick for the weekend we were lucky to chance across the Mumbai. The staff were very friendly and the service was impeccable - our waiter was respectful of us wanting to take our time to finish the remnants of our meal. We enjoyed the relaxed, convivial atmosphere as a couple in amongst other couples and larger groups. This is a place I would also feel comfortable dining out as a single woman. The food is great value for money, fresh tasting and carefully seasoned. The degree of spiciness was just right in my mild/medium dish. It's good to find a place that offers a true range of spiciness appealing to all palates. We had 2 poppadoms with pickles to start with followed by a side dish of tandoori paneer, 2 vegetarian mains, 2 chapatis and a portion of pilau rice. We have healthy appetites and this was the perfect amount - we were definitely full! The place is obviously popular for takeaways with its local clientele too. We wouldn't hesitate to revisit Mumbai and thoroughly recommend it to anyone looking for a value for money quality meal out.

Fantastic food, no wonder it has won an award for the best Indian restaurant of the year at the nations curry awards 2024, and right in the heart of Alnwick.

Ordered a take away as they were too full, waited about 2 hours to get it although we were told 1. The food was pathetic extremely oily and uncooked bread we ordered the puris, kebabs and chicken which was just a disappointment. Will not recommend ever and to add of everything they never even had the courtesy to give napkins or cutlery and served everything In polythene bags even items like salad didn’t even care to put it in a box.

My partner and I dined here while staying for a night in Alnwick, the food is amazing and the best Indian meal I have had, so tasty, the staff were lovely and the restaurant is clean and a great atmosphere - we will be back!

Called in on Friday 23rd August without a reservation. Received a friendly greeting and sat upstairs in a very welcoming area. Food was delicious and sevice prompt. Please open a restaurant in Wylam we will keep you in business. I had Chicken Tikka Rogan Josh which was spot on. My husband had Chicken Tikka Masala. Would happily work through the menu.

Delicious food which even surpassed our experience 2 years ago ! The Nehari lamb and the Ceylon style king prawn curry were excellent. Nothing was greasy. Even the poppadoms were the lightest I’ve eaten at any restaurant! Good service and nice location. Would highly recommend and will definitely re -visit.

My family and I ate here on holiday. It was a fantastic meal. The food was gorgeous and the staff were extremely friendly. It was relatively busy (a good sign) and the atmosphere was wonderful, with great music and wonderful staff who were more than happy to accommodate us. It was a fantastic evening and I will be back!!!

Good food, friendly serving staff but a cool welcome from management at the door on arriving and the same on paying and leaving. Costs nothing to smile and be friendly. It was a bit of of downer on what could have been a great evening.

The meal the four of us had at the Mumbai Restaurant tonight was superb - subtly flavoured & well-balanced. There was something for everyone & we couldn’t decide which tasted best. Yes, it wasn’t cheap but the prices were justified. The service was excellent too, we didn’t have to wait long, even though it was very busy - cannot recommend it more highly.

Lovely food, friendly staff but not overbearing. The service was quick and efficient. Nice selection on offer. We visited on a week night so were able to get a table but you might have to make a reservation at the weekend. Family friendly too. Loved it.

An amazing restaurant!!! We had a superb meal last night and were made to feel incredibly welcome. Having travelled from the Harrogate area, we arrived a little late but Nazin and his staff were extremely attentive. We have been to the Mumbai restaurant in Alnwick a number of times and it will always be our first port of call. The food and service is always top notch and I fully recommend it to others. Many thanks for making our trip to Northumberland extra special.

Blown away by how nice the Curry was here, delicious is an understatement and the service is super friendly and efficient. We will definitely be back when next in the area!

Myself and family had been out for the day, The visit to Mumbai restaurant was completely unplanned. But we was welcomed with warmth and smiles. Ordered take away - the food was delicious! Lots of chicken in my dish and lots of prawns in the other. Flavours were amazing! The chicken pakora was lovely!

I have just eaten THE best Indian meal I have had in many years ! I explained what I wanted , creamy but with some punch , and was assured that my choice would meet my expectations. It did ! So lovely , creamy sauce with hints of coriander and honey , layered with nuttiness and something delicious I have yet to identify . Would I recommend? Absolutely! Photo says it all really !

Passing through and checked out some reviews and fancied a decent Indian meal after a let down one in Callander. They were busy but squeezed us in and I’m so glad they did. Absolutely amazing dishes and great service. I had the lamb madras and it was quite possibly the best I’ve ever had. The lamb was cooked perfectly and the sauce was divine. In fact all our meals were fabulous and our family of four enjoyed a wonderful Indian experience, I made sure to shake the owners hand before I left. 10/10 thank you!

We had booked a table for 2 at 8pm on a Sunday in August. We decided while out in Alnwick that we would rather eat earlier and when we phoned to see if we could change the booking it wasn't a problem. The staff were very polite and friendly. The food and service were good. Would recommend.

We are from Spain and every time we visit the UK we go to Indian restaurants here because they are so much better than in Spain. But this one was over the top. Attention was great, friendly, welcoming. Food was so delicious; when pompadoms and plain naan bread make you want to eat just that, guess how great was the rest. If you come to Alnwick, it's a must.

We turned up with no booking and was able to get a table on a Saturday night. Although this Indian was busy it was very efficiently run. The manager was on top of his game and kept everything running smoothly and the staff were great. But we didn't feel rushed and the meal was delicious with fresh ingredients.

I brought my family to this restaurant as I got it recommended by one of my friends and I was amazed. Just walking in I find the decor is lovely. The menu is quite wide and has many various options to chose from and they have a good selection of drinks. The waiters and waitresses are very polite which is key for a restaurant. The starters came really quickly and were nice. As soon as I finished the meal the waiter is already here to take my order for the main course (brilliant service).I ordered the butter chicken with some butter naans. A waiter just brought a smoky dish to another table and it looked tasty. The food has just came after around 20m (okay service). The food was tremendously delicious I loved the balance of the sweetness in the butter chicken and the naans were alright. The food was nice for the amount of time it took them to make it but after all it was delicious. Although this restraint is quite small the food is brilliant and I will go again. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone passing by Alnwick.

Super friendly welcome, excellent atmosphere and delicious food. We had the saffron gin, definitely a hit with a curry. Followed with Bengal fish curry, a total gem. Go here, and be impressed. Also spotlessly clean.

I wish I could give this place more than a 5 star. The food is out of this world. Fresh tastey & plenty of it. The customer service is outstanding. So polite helpful & friendly. Nothing is a bother. A must for top quality dining experience.

Over rated. Service not great. They do take away here as well which seemed to take priority. Starters were good but mains not so much. Didn't stop for dessert as we had waited too long between courses. For anyone with poor mobility toilets are upstairs which is an important consideration when booking

Great Indian with some different dishes I haven't come across before. I had a dish with honey .. it was rated medium but was fairly mild so bear in mind when you order.

We’ve just had dinner at Mumbai. The staff were attentive and welcoming and the food was out of this world. I had the Mumbai fish curry and it was on a par with any fish curry I have eaten at the Taj hotel in Mumbai itself. I shall certainly dine there again next time I’m in Alnwick. And I would highly recommend Mumbai to anyone looking for a first rate Indian meal.

We visited this lovely place late on 12/4/24. It was really busy and we hadn't booked but the team made sure we had a table seated us very quickly. The service was fantastic, they couldn't do enough for us, very friendly! The food was on another level, being a family of curry lovers we've eaten out in many Indian resterants, but none of them even come close the the diverse menu at Mumbai. We were able to try a number of new dishes that we absolutely loved including a peanut butter one which was a huge hit! The chicken chat pure was delicious, the naan breads cooked to perfection and they even gave us a Tarka dhal on the house which was lovely! Honestly couldn't reccomend it enough, will definatley be visiting again when we come this way! Thank you

Visited Mumbai Flavours for an evening meal on the 7th April. We had an evening meal and the food was excellent. This restaurant is easy to find in the town centre of Alnwick. The staff provide excellent service. There is seating upstairs and downstairs. Recommended.

The food and service is always fantastic. We live in Alnwick and feel very lucky to have this place on our door step. Highly recommend.

My birthday treat organised by my wife as I entered my 70th year was for us and our son to dine at Mumbai Flavours. She had told them that it would be my birthday. We had a lovely such a lovely welcome and wishing me a happy birthday. The staff were so attentive! Above all, the food was truly delicious. I especially recommend the choices listed under "Mumbai Dishes". The prices are also very reasonable. I cannot recommend them enough. Enjoy!

The onion bhajis were good. The main course I had however was truly shocking. Methi mint. Lamb cooked perfectly. The sauce could not taste mint and the amount of ghee used meant the plate was overflowing with the ghee, actually running off the side of the plate. Revolting. The sauce actually tasted of very little at all. Ate the lamb and binned the rest. This was a take away. Won’t use again.

Best Indian food ever, stumbled across this restaurant during a visit to Alnwick. The food and service were fantastic with all the staff being welcoming and attentive. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who likes Indian cuisine.

This is hard to describe, but cannot remember having a better curry in my life. Got the lamb rogan Josh and chicken bhuna along with some sagg and tikka for starters. Excellent value, they could charge much more for the product they are putting out. Simply amazing!

Honestly has to be the best Indian meal I’ve ever had. We ordered for collection as we were staying across the road in Alnwick and it only took 30 minutes and was ready and waiting for us to collect on time. The food was amazing, the lamb was beautiful and the flavours were just lovely. Highly highly recommend.

Called in on a Monday when not much else was open. Luckily, some other people were just leaving so they could fit us in. I'm so glad they they did. Wow, what a treat, beautiful, tasty, well cooked dishes all served by friendly staff. What's more, they have just won an award for their restaurant and hard work.

Me and my boyfriend visited Mumbai of Alnwick for his birthday meal. The waiters were so genuinely friendly and made a great fuss of him, offering him a drink on the house. We visited on a Monday but the restaurant was still pretty busy. The food was absolutely delicious, piping hot and clearly very fresh! We’d love to visit again but unfortunately we was only visiting Alnwick. 10/10 service and good

Had a marvellous evening in Mumbai Flavours. Our first visit and it definitely won't be our last. The service was impeccable and so genuinely friendly. The decor and layout of the restaurant is very welcoming and thoughtful over 2 floors. The food was simply delicious, quality I ingredients and very tasty. There are some fabulous dishes to choose from on the menu. Can't wait for our next visit, thank you.

Lovely friendly staff,very happy to cater for my wife's extensive food allergies,without affecting the quality of the food. We can thoroughly recommend the coconut chilli Ceylon and the Dansak and the onion bahjis...all delicious and very reasonably priced. We will definitely be returning the next time we're in Alnwick.

Banging takeaway food. Thoroughly enjoyed the unique chicken pakora starter. We ordered lamb and prawn dishes and the meat in all of the dishes was perfectly cooked. Lovely, friendly, efficient service. As occasional visitors from Gateshead we will back. Thank you!!!

Service was impeccable! Treated very nicely and really appreciated our time there. Food recommendations were lovely - enjoyed the chicken bhuna, chicken pakora and samosas especially! Wasn’t a huge fan of the onion bhaji but everything else was truly impeccable. Good veggie options too :)

Went in to see if they had a table for 2 and was told abruptly that if i didn't have a bookig there was no chance , manager needs to learn how to talk to people would not recommend this restaurant.

We were visiting the area on holiday and found this to be a fantastic Indian takeaway. Food was really delicious, would highly recommend. The lamb and mixed grill were especially good.
