The best restaurants in Tynemouth North Tyneside North East

Visit every time we come up here from Essex. Best cod bites and chips with gravy I've ever had. Great service at reasonable prices.

Quite simply the best pie and mash I’ve ever tasted , the crust , the gravy the twice cooked chips, I’m coming back every week if you get a pie this good , I really can’t recommend the food here high enough and the staff and service is 5 star too, first time I’ve been here and will be definitely be back ( I’m gonna get so fat but it’s worth it ) 👍

As a pie fanatic, I had to take the opportunity to visit whilst taking son to Ferry. Was so happy I did. Two of us had the Steak, Stilton and Port Gravy pie, with Hand Cut Chips and Mushy Peas. Phenomenal pie. Jam packed with beautifully cooked Steak, nice flavour from the cheese, and the gravy was superb. Very good chips and mushies as well. Son had the Cajun Chicken Burger, and really enjoyed it. Very friendly staff, decent music (not too loud) and nice atmosphere in a busy pub. Will have to come back to sample the other, equally delicious sounding, pies on the menu.

Absolutely love this place! Been twice now and both times it was fantastic. The team are really friendly and welcoming and full of banter! 😀 The food is phenomenal, decor is beautiful and it's very clean. Couldn't ask for anything more. Will definitely be back.

Very nice food. Lovely service. Good choice of food. Reasonable prices. We would recommend the restaurant for an family or a couple meal.

I popped as I was working in the area an tried the double topped burger… absolutely amazing … best burger I’ve ever had!!!!!

Wonderful chilled atmosphere alongside fantastic food and service makes this a little gem of a place. We all loved everything so much so went again a few days later.

Stumbled upon this fantastic wee bar, very reasonably priced and has lovely decor. They play great background music and also have live music on, a lovely outdoor seating area if the weather is nice but today we sat inside as the cad wind was blaan streyt off the north sea 🥶

I would say a highlight on our short trip to Newcastle. The place was great, the staff friendly and helpful, food top notch! We would definitely come back for this.

I had a great time in this bar & don't think I've been in a place that has such friendly bar staff. First time I've been & it definitely won't be my last.

Called in on a Monday evening with a mate and enjoyed a couple of pints of best Bass I've had. Must have been somebody's birthday as we were welcomed to share a food platter of sandwiches and pastries. Great little pub, wonderful staff and friendly locals. 10/10 👍

I have been to a few classes, dance, needle felt, visited the garden and bought plants, had a yummy cake and coffee in the cafe. I also joined a planting group because of one of the open days. Never far from meeting new people and having fun.
