Absolutely love this place! Been twice now and both times it was fantastic. The team are really friendly and welcoming and full of banter! 😀 The food is phenomenal, decor is beautiful and it's very clean. Couldn't ask for anything more. Will definitely be back.

No atmosphere, the restaurant was empty which we thought was unusual on a weekend. Poor standard of food which came out 5mins or so after ordering so not fresh and at this price we would expect better

A friend suggested me this restaurant in tynemouth. And it was one of the best Turkish restaurants I've been to. Beautiful food and generous portions. Also, such a friendly and welcoming service.

Great Mezze platters on the coast. Welcoming staff and a relaxed atmosphere. The pastries vine leaves were especially good.

I don't know what happened to this place, but while service and atmosphere are very good, the food has really lost its edge! Falafels were too dry. Especially since they are served on dry humus- in the future, i hope they give side of sauce and moist humus with falafel. The adana has halved in size. No cooked tomatoes with the lamb and chicken skewers? Mains are much smaller, so now definitely need to order starter or desert. The cold meze platter was very good though. Don't sit upstairs when it's busy, the acoustics is horiffic so it sounds incredibly loud and noisy from everyones talking- they need cloth (decorative curtains) on walls or ceiling to absorb and dampen the sound. Its uncomfortable experience. The mains were a real disappointment for us, which is a shame because the staff were so helpful, attentive, and patient. And it's a very aesthetically pleasing venue. It looks nice to be in. Sadly, I may not go back for a while. This is the 2nd disappointing dinner in a row.

A great Turkish restaurant is a must if you like Turkish. Fantastic food. As good as Turknaz Whitley Bay or The Ottoman Newcastle.

We booked this restaurant for my husband’s 70th as he’s a big fan and there was a large party of us. All our friends enjoyed the food and said they would return. Special mention to Tabby, our waitress, who was really friendly and helpful. The little touch of a candle with baklava at the end finished off what was a great evening. We’ll be back!

Been tonight for a meal,the service was good, the food was ok,but nothing to write home about £220 for a meals for 6 adults and 2 kids with no starter. So not the cheapest. Overall had better & cheaper!

Quite impressive. Surprisingly quiet considering how busy Tynemouth was on Bank Holiday Sunday. But 95% were having fish and chips so maybe explains it. Decided to have lunch and sit outside with a salad and 3 hot mezze for 3 people. Really good service and prices were actually quite reasonable given the location. Beer a little pricey but didn't detract as food very good value. Tasty and well presented. Left a good tip as result. Will return if in the area again

Visited here a few times in summer when going to the beach and thoroughly enjoyed the food as well as cocktails. There is also a wide range of fantastic wines compared to other places in the area. Will definitely be back with both friends and family

Called in on chance of finding somewhere for lunch for six people plus two year old and baby. Also one member of the group is coeliac. No problem at all for the staff with a bit of table arranging we had a table for us all. The food was absolutely superb. The breads were lovely, in fact couldn’t fault anything. The toilets and baby changing facilities were first class. The staff throughout our visit were excellent. We will definitely return. Thank you.

Outstanding restaurant, with first class service 👌 second time of visiting. I would highly recommend the King Prawns & Lamb Shish. The location is perfect and the restaurant was full which is always a great sign. I took my 15 year old daughter who also enjoyed the experience greatly.

What can I say, what a beautiful evening with such incredible food and staff. The service we had from walking in was outstanding. I had a small baby which was very tired but the staff went out their way to make sure I could eat and even offered to push him in his pram while I ate my food. The chef was even playing peek a boo with him from the kitchen to keep him happy. The best part about it was the food, it was delicious and super fast service. The pricing was bang on for the quality infact I would have paid double for how amazing it was. Quality restaurant. I will be back regularly 😆

Great service and food was delicious. We had the meat sharing platter which I would recommend as a good way to try many of the BBQed meats.

Was recommended this fairly new restaurant by friends and family so decided to give it a try myself. On arrival was given a very warm welcome by what seemed to be either the manager or the owner. For starters I ordered the Sucuk which is a type of Turkish sausage while my wife went for Hummus with small lamb pieces on top. Both were delicious. For the main I ordered the mixed grill which we both shared and was more than ample. I finished the meal by having the Baklava and my wife had a refreshing Turkish tea. All in all a lovely evening with delicious food. Highly recommend. P.s the service was also excellent.

Found a hair in food offered to compensate by offering the drinks for free. When it came to paying the bill they changed that to the cheapest part of food we got free which I thought was rather unprofessional

Had a meat sharing plate, just ok, seating very close to another couple,and there were plenty more empty tables they could have seated us,chose a baclava for dessert,,for £7.95 there were two tiny pieces of dry and underwhelming baclava, been once,the only thing that was good was the service

Has a lovely feeling when you walk in. We booked and at 5.30 it was nearly empty. Could not understand why they wanted to put 5 of us right at the back when there was so many tables at the front. The booth was only for 4. We asked to be moved which they did and got a window view. The food was lovely but we should have mixed it up as it's a lot of the same in one dish. Service was excellent from our young lady. Wine also lovely. Bye the time we left it was quite full.7.15.

This is my second visit, I'll definitely be returning... It was quite quiet on this visit, but it was a rotten night weather wise and the whole of Tynemouth was quiet.. The staff here are so pleasant and friendly. The food is delicious. We had the mixed sharing starter and sharer main platter along with other dishes. Would definitely recommend a visit here.

Food was good and tasty, one downside was that they did not have garlic sauce, but mayonnaise instead, which came at a additional cost. The salad portion was small, compared to other Turkish restaurants. However, the chicken shish came piping hot and full of flavours. Pitta bread was tasty as well. The restaurant is modern and cozy and the service was great. The atmosphere was a bit loud but that can happen on a busy Sunday evening.

First time here and we were not disappointed. Party of ten of us enjoyed a fantastic meal. The food was delicious, the restaurant, spotless and the staff, polite and courteous. We'll definitely be back.

Took me far too long to get round to this review, but here we are! I kept the business card in my wallet and it sprung on me today that I should really leave a review. I was here with 18 guys last month on a Stag-do, and was told we should go North Shields for a more calm and scenic day before the night comes. We had a stag-do and a 40th to celebrate, and I couldnt be more happiet stumbling across Iztuzu. It was clear they were shocked by 18 people walking in around 3pm randomly, but took to service effortlessly. They rearranged the tables so we could all sit together, menu was explained well, food came on time, cocktails were delicious and we got to speak with the owner! I have to note the decor is sublime too. All this, and it was raining! Imagine if it was a sunny day. Just goes to show how good the atmosphere is in here. When back in Newcastle, this is a must! Wishing you the best with the business!
