Been here 5 times, eaten twice and 3 they’ve said they’re closed. Mostly recently went in at 20.07 and they did that they’re not taking more orders or any take outs. Got home and 10min later prefer from a well known food delivery company from the very same restaurant. Food arrived 30min later. Very odd, don’t understand this - almost like they don’t want patrons. They only had 3 tables with people, all had been served already. Otherwise, when you do get to eat, fantastic food and frozen margaritas!

I adore this little place in Tynemouth because it has both excellent service and also amazing food. Every year I choose a different restaurant to hold our birthdays dinner at in the Northest. And every year I am anxious will I like the food. And the verdict was a resounding YES to both the food being delicious and good value for money and the service being friendly. So we took Little Lobo’s menu to be based on sharing plates of food idea. We ordered the nachos, chorizo tacos, pork tacos, fries and frozen cocktails. We also ordered all the food to be brought out from the kitchen at once which was good but perhaps our eyes were greedier than our bellies. The consensus was delicious and each and every plate was delicious. A definite must visit for anyone finding themselves at the coast in north Tyneside. Little Lobo is a hidden gem. I look forward to visiting them for brunch and maybe our half-birthdays dinner. What I do like about Little Lobo Tynemouth that it caters equally for meat eaters and vegetarians.

10/10 all around. The staff are wonderful, super friendly and helpful. The food is spectacular. Shrimp burrito is a must. Small place so may be hard to get a seat but man, it is worth the wait! They also do take out too so really you have no excuse not to get the best burrito in the world. The tacos are amazing too ...actually the whole menu is incredible! I would have had photos if I wasn't such a greedy pig and wolfed down my food before taking a photo. Would defo recommend to everyone.

Amazing tasting food. Friendly , atentive staff. Nice atmosphere with very mixed clientele. Although mexican it is not always spicy food it has a great menu. Also this place is dog friendly which the staff seem to love, although I'd not recommend taking a reactive or nervous dog as it looks like it can get overcrowded quickly as it's a small space

Great spot! Small venue without feeling squashed in and the food and service were both top notch. Had the tacos from the lunch menu, 3 for £10 with tortilla chips and salsas. An absolute bargain and absolutely delicious. Will definitely be back next time we’re in Tynemouth.

I told the server about having gallstones and he discussed it with the chef and they sent suitable food. Very few restaurants do this. It made such a difference to my day 💚

I’ve been to the larger restaurant version and this smaller one is equally fantastic! The staff are really helpful, it’s clean, a lovely atmosphere and the food was just brilliant

Accidentally came to the wrong Little Lobo as we booked a reservation for the Little Lobo at Whitley Bay but thankfully there was space for us to eat! The server was able to cancel our reservation at the other restaurant 😅 The service was incredible, as was the food. A really nice place for a lunch, looking forward to returning soon.

Excellent food! Called to book a table but sounded busy so we wrote it off. Ended up walking by in the night, was empty and taco Tuesday. So happy we went in. Was amazing food, want to try more but it was after dinner about 9pm haha

Food was amazing as ever. Surf and Turf burrito, Asda torta and carnitas quaesidilla with frijole fries just superb. Plus frozen margs all round. Love this place.

We randomly popped in here at around 2pm on a Wednesday. Nobody else around, just the staff. It’s walk in only so we had no issues there. Friendly vibe, and it’s a cosy little place that would seat around 10-12 in total? Food was really lovely. We had a variety of things and found it all super fresh, good quality ingredients, and the Marg slushies were delicious. Left very happy!

This place is amazing. Called in for a quick snack and ended up ordering a selection of tacos. They were absolutely delish. The service was great and its dog friendly too! The steak fries were insanely good! Can’t wait to come back when we’re in town 😋

Got the asada torta. Steak sandwich with salsa and grilled cheese. Flavours amazing. Just the right amount of heat. Would definitely recommend if you can get a seat.

Finally a place you get your moneys worth! I literally only ate this sandwich and I was full it was beautiful and Smokey I’m picky so I have mine with only cheese but it was beautiful still! They Jam Pack the sandwiches they even added tortilla chips as a little extra thank you!

Simple, compact but brilliant! The black bean tacos were very tasty and and good value with the option to add extra dishes if you are still hungry. We were accommodated quickly despite turning up at short notice.

Whilst passing through Tynmouth we decided it was time for lunch and for a change looked elsewhere other than the main Street to eat . Although quaint with few tables it feels really comfortable.The guy behind the bar was welcoming and very pleasant,obviously enjoyed talking to his customers and explaining about his cocktails in detail.,We had two Mexican toasted sandwiches -slow cooked pork and steak. Wow probably one of the best sandwiches I’ve tasted and what a change from the usual fish and chip menu .Well done kitchen staff you nailed it 👍We’re definitely returning when back in town with our friends

Ordered online the other day from here and the food was fantastic! Been to the main one on the Fish Quay and that is also good! Definitely worth trying the Pineapple Express hot sauce as it is banging!

Loves this place food was Amazing, service friendly and all very reasonable.

I ordered through Ubereats £16 worth of food, through an offer I only paid £4.80 and even with that I feel indignant. Tiny size, didn't get me even started. The tacos looked a world different from the photos, saggy little nothings. And the quesadillas about the same stuff., Although the taste was good of them. Pity disappeared in no time. En México esto sería una vergüenza.

Admittedly I’m always skeptical of Mexican food in the UK, but this little spot is a treat. We were welcomed by a boisterous waiter and accommodated throughout with excellent service, knowledge of food allergens, and seriously good food. Between us, we had nachos, tacos, and a burrito, as well as frozen margaritas and Mexican sodas. I typically order my margs on the rocks and am leery of frozen machine mixed ones, but this was really good. Honestly, not a single complaint! This place is a real gem.

They didn't have the original menu, which was annoying. The service was bad. Only bar service, but we were the only people there and still waited for 5 mins. There is no cocktail menu, so only slushi's and beers are available. Doesn't really seem worth it when you can rather go somewhere closer to the city

Some early dinner last week being around the corner off the front street of tynemouth and having seats outside although a little overcast we sat outside menu was clear and plenty to choose from, adviced that i was ordering too much decided to ignore that comment by the waiter and yes i did order too much but luckily for me appetite managed and food was delicious fresh and good portions a beer and sime wine washed it down well service was quick and chap was very pleasant a little rain started he came out open canopy by the this time benches were full of people and service never faultered would recommend an early visit as its small inside and can imagine it being very busy when weather is better im sure a visit again soon

Avoid! Rotten food. Both me and my partner have food poisoning. Tacos were dry and fillings defiantly not fresh.

Unreal food and the best margaritas in Tynemouth.

The food we ordered was really tasty and arrived fresh and still hot through uber eats. We had the Shrimp burrito and Mar Y Tierra burrito which I would recommend. However I have to mark down a star as I feel it is overpriced, in line with London prices for the same type of food, in particular the Cadillac Nachos which at £8.50 was a bit of a joke when I saw the portion. I thought being tortillas there would be plenty and the tiny quarter slither of avocado on the side was really unecessary, especially since your advert shows more avocado. Maybe eating in is better portions?

Cozy little restaurant that only accepts walk ins. Food was delicious and bar man/server was skilled at keeping all tables happy. Dog friendly inside and out

Sunday pm. 2 tacos, 2 Asanda toasted sandwiches with Asanda chips. Seated and served straight away.

Tacos were delicious!!! Definitely worth a try. Not much of a beer selection, but all good. What could be better is the amount of chips given with the guacamole OR, at least replenish them if there is still a good amount of guac remaining. Other than that, we had a great experience here.

What incredible food this is! I set my expectations to moderate as there isn’t a load of good Mexican food up here but, my god, this place delivers better food than I’ve had in Mexico! Like seriously tasty pork and amazingly seasoned food. Wow. I’m blown away.

Amazing food ,order from Uber eats about twice a week I thought I pop in down and sit down for a change. I booked a for table of four when I turned up the gentleman would say not a gentlemen rudely seen we was waiting then carried on his conversation with his friend for a while. Finally when he was done he said ‘ What do you want ‘ ? In a rude manner. I said to the blonde haired man I’ve got table booked for 5:30 then said we don’t do booking then just walked off. Then I had to chase him to explain I rang him and booked in then he aggressively said we don’t take bookings I thought I’ll leave it at that and never come back. If you want horrible customer service come here

What a little gem in Tynemouth!! Fantastic meal today and a treat with Frozen Margaritas at Midday! Photos don’t do it justice. Lunch menu starts at midday. Has baby changing, has high chairs and takes American Express!!

Had spotted this place a few times and finally paid a visit. Hit lucky getting an inside table on a busy Saturday lunchtime. Ordered 2 x burritos, a side of chips and 2 soft drinks. Service was friendly and not intrusive by John. Food arrived promptly was fresh and tasty. Highly recommend the shrimp burrito. The sweet potato one had great flavourings but was a little heavy. The chips were amazing and to be honest a burrito each was enough but we couldn’t stop eating the chips! Will definitely go back to sample the rest of the menu. A lovely little gem of a place.

went here for a spontaneous lunch and it was amazing, wonderful vibe, good value, amazing service, couldn’t ask for more. potentially the best meal out of my life. food was fresh and delicious and the margaritas were top notch. definitely becoming a regular!

Lots of options for tacos, breakfast wrap, nachos etc. Good choice of Jarritos too. Friendly staff and nice environment.

Very small place but the food was fresh and tasted very nice. Couple of chefs and a bloke serving and seating for around 8 max. Sauces were nice and can't fault the steak and prawn boritto I had. Small portions so probably order a load of sides as well.
