The best restaurants in Hartlepool North East

I'm a long time customer of Costa, this outlet and its staff are the best there is in the region, they are all pleasant, they smile and laugh (a big thing for me) and they go above and beyond to be helpful. The premises are one of the better venues too, clean and kept tidy.

Great fish and chips,along with excellent service. Always a pleasure to call in when visiting the marina or cycling.

The salad was rank with a strange taste that gave me a stomach ache and nausea after a couple of mouthfuls so went in the bin. The breakfast rolls were nice though. Gave 1 star due to the salad.

Food was absolutely brutal. Couldn’t eat it and the béchamel sauce was none existent, it wasn’t even a parmo to start as it was burnt to a crisp. The chips had been refried at least 3 times. 50 shades of black. Absolute cack.

I got a all day breakfast which is probably one of the worst things I have ever had Beans where stone cold Bacon was basically raw I didn’t recieve my black pudding Eggs where hard and over cooked The lady who served us basically through my plate onto the table Hash brown was fried withing a inch of its like

Rice was a little overcooked and the ribs weren't ribs but ribs the size of an inch

Do not use this Chinese plz plz avoid, I used the food palace website. To pay with my Apple Pay. First time it said payment not been paid. So I paid again. Same thing said payment had not gone through. I phoned up the Chinese. The boss said !!!! He had 2 payments PENDING. So I used my other card to pay and that order went through. I received my order!!!!! I then contacted my bank!!!!! 1 of the payments pending went through (got a transaction number for it ) other pending did not go through. He has just lied now for 6 days. Now saying HE DID NOT receive any payments.. I’m owed £16.10. I have full evidence off payment that came out my bank. He’s now ignoring me and avoiding any qurstions. Avoid like the plaque… 😂😂

As soon as I went in there’s rubbish on the floor and nearly every other table was dirty wouldn’t mind but place was dead an loads of staff about, food wasn’t the best either look like it was rushed together. Got hot wings with my order more batter than actual chicken did not enjoy only ate it was starving. This isn’t the first time I’ve been either seems like it’s getting worse should of known too avoid seeing as at dinner time it was quiet not a good sign

Please do not order please because is very expensive and the food wasn’t very nice

Absolutely disappointing. 4 small bits of chicken in a mega watery curry. The milkshake had clearly been made and left for a long time 🤮 the chips and chicken pieces were just terrible.

order never arrived, may have ordered late but it should never have gone through if you can’t take the order

okay, first of all i enter the restaurant and get verbally abused for moving a chair however the same employee allows a women to stroll past and infact sharws some giggles with her. then, i overspent on the popular "monecraft movie meal" and indact recieved no collectable or sauce then my dear friend got an unwanted item, she did not even know the character in question. not good

Probably the worst McDonald’s I’ve been too in terms of food quality. Chips are always cold and taste like cardboard. Can’t fault the staff, they’re nice, but food the reason we all go and it’s just not up to par

Last night my self and my wife, Ordered two wraps and a 7inch cheesy garlic bread. The order didn’t come for a hour and 40 mins after ordering. When our food finally came, the two wraps were cold and the chicken was chewy and under cooked. The cheesy garlic was stone cold and no cheese on. Credit to the bloke on the phone he did apologise and offer to redo the order and send it out straight away but I was going to do a night shift at work so had to decline it as it wouldn’t of came in time. He then said he will write my name and address down in the book so when I ring up tomorrow the order will be free of charge. So today 03/04/25 I rang up to order again as I was told to by the manager the night before to. Which then I go told on the phone that nothing had been wrote down in the book and that all I could do is wait till half 10 tonight to wait for the manager to come in and speak to him. In which the person rudely just put the phone down. Customer service from the shop was terrible and communication wasn’t great. Won’t be using the takeaway again, which is a shame as we both enjoyed going but after the way we been treated, I’ll be taking my service else where
