KFC Hartlepool - Marina Way in Hartlepool

The kfc app states that dine in orders close at 10pm however take out orders close at 10:30pm. We ordered for takeout and arrived at kfc for 10:15 so within the opening time stated on the app. However, the doors were locked and no one was in the drive through windows. When someone finally turned up to the window we told them we ordered on the app and they replied “well i don’t know how you’ve managed that because we close at 10”. If the store closes at 10 then app should not say 10:30 and allow you to order. We were also told that even if it’s their mistake they don’t have any food to make our order. This is clearly a FAT lie as we arrived 15 minutes after they apparently closed and as someone who works in a kitchen there is no chance they had no food in at this time. In the end we did not receive our food and have been charged for it. Kfc need to fix the app or be prepared to fix mistakes like this and not send people home without the food they’ve paid for. Absolutely ridiculous business, the worst fast food chain in the town, don’t go there.

Good food although a little over cooked, fast service and polite staff.

Went over an hour after opening, not a soul in there (customer wise) and the restaurant was still grotty and disgusting with old crumbs from meals on tables and greasy fingerprints all over the digital menu screens and just overall dirt everywhere grouped up on the floor… would hate to see whats not visible if that's what is. Then the food; the chips were stale and bitter tasted like microwaved 2 day old chips with heavy spices ontop then my chicken burger was the most foul tasting thing I've ever had. I'd prefer a microwaved rustlers burger over KFC… flavour wise, smell wise and presentation wise. Crushem was decent enough though 🤣

KFC gone down the pan.not like it used to be.

Decided after the cinema to treat my better half to some KFC. We got a family bucket with coleslaw and gravy as sides. I Ended up eating 1 piece and chucked the rest. It tasted like they had cooked it last week then run it over with a greasy tyre to add texture. The coleslaw was rank and gravy wasnt the gravy I love from KFC. The restaurant wasn't busy apart from the usual delivery folk picking up. But because it was so empty the staff seemed dead inside. Last time I eat there. It was that bad it may be the last time I eat KFC. Especially as I'm now off to bed sick.

The restaurant was a bit poor to be honest. Service was not great, it was very tired inside and the toilets were disgusting.

When I ordered at drive through, I checked order before leaving, and hot wings missing, went back inside and was more or less called a liar by staff.eventually they did replace the missing items .Do not appreciate been called a liar

Uses a third party for delivery then when THEY need up your order they pass it back on to you and tell you that you have to deal with that delivery service to sort THEIR problem out. When the problem IS NOT the delivery drivers but THEIRS themselves. These brain dead zombies need to have these "mishaps" taken out of their wages and rectified effectively by paying a second delivery fee as a reimbursement of a fault of their messed up job. I mean come on how many times can one company repeat the same mistakes and still keep making them? They have a damn receipt in front of them and on screen, how on earth do they keepisring food items off people's orders on a daily and hourly basis? Don't get me started on the actual restaurant itself. The toilets always stink like diarrhea, they're never cleaned, never have toilet roll in the cubicle. The floors are always caked in dropped food and often tables still have food debris on them from previous customers. Funny part is there only ever seems to be 2 customers in at a time. You also have no rights when it comes to complaints. No email address or any form of complaints procedure to effectively explain your disatifaction. Just a link where you can input a few details lacking any section to be heard. Nice tactic to avoid dealing with your high volume complaints ey?

State of the art cinema, recliner seats and coffee/tea snacks table on seat.

Ordered through the app, which is ridiculous. Clicked for food to be delivered and after an hour still no food, I rang the store who hadn't received the order. Went back to the app for it to say delivery unavailable. Checked my bank and money had been taking so then I had to go to the store, which defeats the object of ordered a takeaway. When at the store the food still took almost 20 minutes and the staff there aren't very happy. On a bright note, the food was nice

Awful place. The staff managed to give my app order to someone else, then make me wait for 15 minutes for a replacement (which they gave to someone else). They then act like they're doing you a good turn when they sort out their mess. Avoid like the plague.

Managers are kinda rude. You should see the way they talk to their staff in front of customers :/

Used Hartlepool a couple of times this week and had popcorn chicken on both occasions for granddaughter, carton seemed lighter than the ones I get from Wynyard Services, so I counted them only 25 in carton should be 30, either someone's filling their belly at the end of the shift or they can't count.

Arrives cold soggy and the uber driver aka Lewis Hamilton races off with your bottle of pop! Common sense when they collect the bottle with your order that its delivered with the order. Avoid Uber on the kfc app they aren't even worth one star!

Quiet nice lunch good quality meal

Very slow service. Food is overpriced, usually served pretty cold, especially if you order from Just Eat. In terms of dining in the establishment, it's not easy to navigate your way into the car park. Nor is the drive thru easy to navigate around. And again the service is very slow. It doesn't look the cleanest of places to dine. Unlikely to return. EDIT - Visited in store to see if any better. It's not too bad. However, toilets were disgusting. Service was very quick once you push your way through all the just eat drivers.

Over 1hr wait half order missing cold soggy fries cold gravy

God a KFC bonus box meal the other Saturday night Sunday felt really I'll and sick and vomiting only to found out been food poisoning had to ring 111 never go there again chips where cold put me off for life

Consistently one of the worst KFC's I've ever been to. Regularly drive to wolveston instead of going here. Staff appear to listen to your order but this rarely translates to what you are actually given. Always double check before driving away. 9 times out of 10 they've missed something or given you a random order. Definitely give the impression they couldn't care less.

Went to drive thru tonight and ordered a 12peice Dippin boneless feast. When I got home there was no dips and no popcorn chicken. Makes the feasr a bit expensive when your only paying for half an order. On a better note though the festive fries were lush and should be on the menu always

We were the only people there and they still managed to get our order wrong. Food was cold and left disappointed. Normally I enjoy KFC, but won't be returning to the one in Hartlepool

Not too happy, chicken was not how I remembered it, I very rarely eat out and so this was a treat after a hard day. Portions were all of the smallest cuts and gravy was watery.

where do i begin, let me start off with the fact that the food was absolutely diabolical ! upon receiving my order, that being a boneless banquet ( i treated myself to a large, YUMMY ! ) i ordered gravy as a side, but to my surprise i was perplexed at the sight which was in front of me, right in front of my eyes sat there was a pot of spunk and let me assure you that i was not disappointed as someone who attends a weekly semen tasting class with my good friend Joseph Darby. This spunk was absolutely not up to par. Do better KFC !!!!!

Takeout of 10 piece wicked variety bucket. Regular chicken was overcooked and consequently dry and tough. Chicken wings and chicken fillets were very nice and not at all greasy. Chips fine. Staff very pleasant and helpful.

Why is it that this branch always has rationed amounts of lettuce within fillet/zinger burgers? Are we experiencing a lettuce crisis? It's even more appalling now considering that if you're buying two box meals you're spending say £20! It's never as much lettuce as what's advertised, quite literally 1/6th of what you see without exaggeration. The majority of menu light boxes at the drive thru aren't lit up at night and generally the place is in need of an update.

I never ever had fresh food. I don’t think thy change oil regularly. Chicken Always look dark.

Needs a good clean, too many kids working there who don't know how to sweep a floor or clean a table.

This could be the worst KFC I’ve ever been to. Service is shocking, food is extra greasy, the presentation is poor, and the wait time is a joke.

Review below was nearly a year ago, the place is an absolute dump, looks scruffy and uninviting , nothing has changed, why don't they modernise this place? Food was top notch, same as any KFC , the building is in such a state, it needs a refurbishment, if I hadn't of booked ahead i would have driven past thinking it was shut. Info screens not working. Hand written notes about service. A printed sheet taped to a window saying order here, as again info screen wasn't on.

Love coming to KFC food good and staff friendly but every time we have been Thier has always been mess on the tables doesn't take long to wipe a table but it seems at KFC it does

Hartlepool is hosting the tall ships event this weekend and everywhere is crazy busy! Staff worked together well, looked after me well when I messed up my order and both the veggie and the fried chicken were top notch. KFC made exactly as it should be and a restful looked-after feeling while we recharged. Well done!

Can quite often get your orders wrong but do rectify their mistakes quickly.

This has to be the worst KFC in the country for customer service. Four times I have ordered through JustEat and they have yet to get an order correct. When you try to speak to a staff member about missing items all they say is that you have to contact JustEat. I would advise anyone not to order food from Hartlepool KFC.....

Getting far too expensive n get less food for money too. Should be kfp. P for pigeon the size of it. Dont even do hot drinks.

As per usual the food was good, the service was acceptable but the place was dirty. Half eaten chicken on the floor and unclean tables. Admittedly I chose a specific table whilst several others were empty due to its size and location but then had to clean it as it was covered in grease and sauce. Pretty much par for the course in my experience at KFCs. Food was very tasty and definitely the best chicken takeaway of the main restaurants, but in future I will probably go for the take away option.

Just picked up a mobile app order after a 12 hr shift. Drove home to find they missed the beans off the order. How hard is it to put a few things in a bag? Incompetent. Tried ringing but don’t answer! Not happy!

Food was delivered freezing cold. Stale, old and half of it was missing for £30 for a couple stale burgers and cold two day old fries. It’s disgusting never again. The staff here are simple. They’ve not got an order right yet. Lazy and the manager needs to go get a a basic education. Never order through a third party. They won’t redeliver missing items or refund anything. Total waste of time and money may have well have thrown £30 in the bin.

Disgraceful attitude towards customer's, tried the drive through waited at the first window to order, nothing, drove on to the second window, and eventually got someone to answer only to get a load of sarcasm and abuse from the girl in the window, she then slammed the window shut and I drove off with nothing, never again

The place is absolutely filthy. Makes you wonder what the level of hygiene must be like back of house and in the kitchen. Tables mucky, floors littered, spillages just left for customers to slip on. Don’t know why you’d have that many staff in on shift when it’s dead and not have a single one of them on the floor cleaning and maintaining a very basic level of hygiene standard. You might also want to address the ant farm residing at your napkin counter.

Was only us and one other customer both drive through, yet the food took half an hour to get to us, also whilst we were waiting 3 other customers came in (walk ins) and got served within 5/10 mins, other then the ridiculous wait, they got our order completely wrong and the chicken was over cooked. Customer service was also terrible.... 🐕💩

What a disgrace of a place. Walked to every table looking for a clean one, couldnt find one. I imentioned to the lady behind the counter who said she will send someone over. A lady came with a wet cloth, no spray and wiped the table leaving it soaking. She then proceed to wipe all the tables with the cloth. We order a coke with NO ice.. We got ice. We also orded the Zinger burger with NO mayo. Needles to say we got mayo. Such a joke. 😠😡😠😡

KFC Hartlepool seen to come under the umbrella of uncertainty when it comes to customer service. As I joined the queue, the young man ahead of me just walked out, such was the time he'd been waiting to be served. There were 2 staff members behind the counter putting orders together, no "sorry for the wait" or "we'll be with you shortly", I was just stood there like a pan of mince waiting to be noticed. Another staff member walked in from outside, looking clearly deflated & hunched bless her, and she took my order. The food was hot and quite tasty, but this is pretty much the only good point about my visit her. Our table had lettuce & mayonnaise all over it, I was given diet Pepsi instead of the real thing & the bin was completely overflowing. It just doesn't work.

Well food came late chips and chicken cold. So in the oven it goes to heat it up. I got a takeaway for the convince of not having to cook. By the time this is warmed through , I could of cooked a chicken with a Sunday roast. Not the first time.

Came to KFC Hartlepool for my son and his friend celebrating his birthday. Freezing cold, asked if the heating wa on, it's broken the young girl said. The young staff were good but the restaurant was dirty, litter and crumbs on the floor and tables. Worst one I've ever been in

Just recently went here today got everything I ordered mams food was fine dad's was fine mine burned to the point were I couldn't eat it the only half decent thing is the popcorn chicken and corn

Just had the 6 peice 4 fries offer went in at about 8 30pm paid 6 99 instead off 14 pounds because off the 50% off It was diabolical I wouldn't have given it to my dog , chios cold , chicken not only as dry as uck but super super dark brown , needless to say I said I wanted better than that the manager said the chicken was super brown because the oil needed changing and if I wasn't happy have a refund , I explained I didn't want a refund. So I was told to come back in 20 minutes to which I did, I received better chicken but it wasn't fresh it was properly the next tray along but out off cross awkwardness I got told it would be 20 minutes. I got better chicken and good peices nothing scrawny and I got fresh hot chips, is it really that hard to serve people decent food they have paid for. Im a chef/catering manager

2nd time been to this outlet prior to going to the Vue Cinema .Thort 1st time I will give them a 2nd chance as food was luke warm, on boxing day 2nd visit worse than the 1st visit for the amount of people in food should have been a lot quicker, on receiving food again it was mediocre. The fillet burger looked warmed up, A Zinger staker meal chips were cold, Popcorn chichen box which my grandsughter left. if I had time I would av returned the meals, so certainly will not be returning.......

No heating system works. It’s -3’C . All staffs & customers freezing. Poor management.

Really bad service, when I asked for my receipt, it was as if I asked for the world.

Toilets are rotten and smell like they aren't cleaned, very slow service and they didn't even acknowledge my presense. Food was hot but could tell it had been sat about for a bit because was very dry. Staff stood about doing nothing when orders were to be taken, will give this a swerve in the future.

Drive thru get it wrong again! Ram ya discount code where the sun don’t shine. Try getting the order right for once! How do you manage this? You’re told what is required so just deliver it, there was a strong smell of cannabis when they opened the hatch to give me my order! This could explain it.

We ended up on A19 junction just on the way to Bishop Auckland, we've been in that one quite alot, perfect place for a quick stop, we live over towards Bishop, use to go to York often then straight upto that KFC.NIGHT TIME BRILLIANT 👏 👍 😀 👌 😄 😉

I bought 10 mini fillets, the chicken was juicy but the batter is too salty and dark in colour, it’s obvious they had changed oil long ago, the same thing happened last month with chicken on bone, same Harlepool store. It spoiled the entire appetite to have KFC

Drive through, wed 29 june teatime.. Ordered a big bucket for one, extra chips, diet coke.. Got home no drink, drove back, the manager was so, so professional, asked for my money back, no problem, then to my surprise, offered me fresh new meal also, onto of my refund ... Absolutely brilliant service, no ifs, or buts, other companies should take notice... I'm so sorry, I forgot to get your name manager, as I was not very well.. EXCELLENT SERVICE

Awful. The order machine broke meaning I had to wait 10 minute before I could get my order taken. Then my order goes through at 12:27 and it wasn’t ready until13.02 It’s an absolute joke. Will never come here again. Do not come to this kfc unless you fancy wasting your day for poor food…

I hate leaving poor reviews but after a recent visit whilst on a weekend away, this KFC is without doubt, the worst example I have ever visited. Dirty tables. Ignorant staff. Delivery drivers hogging the counter for no reason other than to lean on it and help spread covid and Cold chips. Note to higher management, start again with the staff, they are killing this branch.

The food is often not the most fresh, obviously resetting the timers on product holding. Also the store is in desperate need of refurbishment especially the exterior

Quick service, very polite and lovely food

First impression of this place....filthy! One table was clean(ish) in the whole restaurant and I still had to clear the previous customers waste from it before we could sit down! Service was slow as the staff were more than happy to discuss their friends love life. Every customer that entered was surprised by the amount of rubbish all over the floor. The guy that appeared to be the manager seemed non-plussed that the place was a mess and spent his break enjoying his food and talking to one of his friends that had came in. At one point a female member of staff did appear at the counter door carrying a brush and pan but then decided the floor didn't require sweeping so left it. Food was okay after the slow service, more the cleanliness of the outlet that was off-putting.

The food was hot and we got what we ordered, but the wait was a bit long and I really feel places like KFC should do more about the rubbish going everywhere around the carparks attracting birds and vermin.

Friend ordered £24 worth of KFC for us both and the JustEat driver had stole it and confirmed it as delivered. Went over to restaurant to order it again and let them know about the driver and a worker asked for the order number and remade it for us for free, they were incredibly considerate of the incident

Food wasn't too good..every table was dirty and the bins were overflowing.. Wheelchair access was poor aswell
