Welcome Chinese in Hartlepool

Ordered a beef and king prawn chowmein Salt and pepper chips with curry sauce. Firstly, portions are huge. The curry sauce is a little sweet, just how I like it. Honestly it was all very tasty. Will definitely be going again. We also got cans of coke thrown in for free, so thank you.

Absolutely disgusting from last night because me and my friend order an Chinese from welcome Chinese takeaway we got chicken chow mein it had hair in it and the sauce was so lumpy and the chips was so cold and soggy and they were so rude as well didn’t apologise to me to me about the food was cold and they had hair in the food we had last night and we won’t be going there agian and at least we got the refund back and plus the salt and pepper chicken was too spicy

food was lovely, did not scimp on the portions, ended up throwing in a free fanta and 8 vegetable spring rolls and it arrives within half and hour and nice and hot - good little spot id ignore the bad reviews every small business has their bad days

Absolutely delicious! Definitely the best Chinese in Hartlepool, I dare say the north east😁 Just WOW I can’t put into words how lovely their food is. My favourite are the crispy salt & pepper chips! Yumm. Also there ribs and small chicken bites were just beautiful😋 Also there egg fried rice and boiled rice was just delicious. Thank you very much!! Me and my family enjoyed it. I 100% recommend.

Been going to this takeaway for years rang up tonight to say chips where literally the same consistency as rubber and the counter assistants attitude was rude to say the least sighed when reported this then had an attitude when asked if they could be replaced so just said doesn’t matter and put the full meal in the bin won’t be going back.

3rd time ordering and unfortunately have to change my review from 5 stars, the delivery driver dropped our food which fair enough accidents happen but it then took another hour for our food to arrive after already waiting an hour as we were told they had other deliveries to complete before they could collect ours. Our food had evidently been sat out for quite some time as it wasn't very crispy, the seaweed was stale and the munchie box was mainly chips with a sorry amount of chicken. They also missed an item (samosas), gave us a lot less prawn crackers than usual and didn't add any fortune cookies as they usually do. There is no option for a refund on Hartlepool eats so unfortunately probably won't order from here again, which is sad because the food and service is usually 5 stars.

Absolutely disgusting!!! Microwaved chips and too much sugar in the crispy beef!!! Not the first time either. Won't be getting any more from here!!!

Ordered 4 main dishes. Extra cost for rice or chips. 1 item missing promised in next order. Given that we paid £15 more than our usual place that won't be any time soon.. Cold chicken in the chow mein. Chicken curry had added honey /syrup and was too sweet to eat. Chips were disintegrated in the too sweet curry sauce. Out of 4 main dishes 1 was acceptable but lukewarm. High hopes dashed I must say.. Very disappointed.

Awful chinese. The aromatic duck which is normally shredded off the bone and includes the duck skin looked like processed meat. The pancakes were so thin you couldn't wrap them without them ripping. They were also all stuck together. The curry chips and fried rice was so dry. Chips weren't fresh, undercooked and the fried rice was inedible. No curry on the rice. Will not return.

The orange chicken is amazing from Here would definitely get again maybe not the chicken balls though as they always taste slightly underdone for my taste

Speedy, but now showing signs of wear and tear. Image Complacency has perhaps set in.Premises need a good spruce up to be more attractive to collection callers......but customers who order for delivery wouldn't see that would they ?

Love the king prawn, chicken and green pepper chow mein order it lots. Also love the chilly honey crispy chicken with rice order that lots to haha.

Very low quality with Hong Kong style pork that consisted entirely of pork fat rather than meat and special fried rice that was 40% dry nasty prawns and half a tin of spam... Will never order from here again.

Amazing! Came within 15 minutes of order, piping hot and lovely!! First time trying Chinese Takeaway in Hartlepool and won't be going anywhere else either👍 5 star from me.

Staff were very helpful and service was fast.

Placed a £30 + order and we had to cancel it as it was going to be over two hours late we chased it up and we were told it ready just waiting for driver after 45 minutes after placing the order at 6.07pm and at 8.10pm we cancelled at 2 hours from ordering yet food hygiene law states food can only be kept hot for 90 minutes after this was 2 hours later there would be hundreds of bacteria growing in it so we cancelled the order

Chips were gorgeous and chow mein was delicious. The girl serving was very friendly . Would highly recommend

Just had a awesome meal from Here never left a crumb it was just the right spicyness and meat was melt in your mouth very nice will use this chinese again and recommend.

Omg i wish i could give this place a zero it was nasty and had to be binned. I ordered 6 main meals and we could not eat any.

one of the original chinese in town, the food is as good as ever special curry lovely good value and staff in phone helpful and in the shop as well. we have used online booking and called in for food on several occasions. late one week and were very busy staff very good on phone and offered discount to make up for it. well worth a try 👍😉

Well here we go I was told about this Chinese but the guy who does the delivery’s so we decided to place an order for delivery and all I can say was Fantastic.We ordered the Special Mixed Curry and the king Prawn and yes it was excellent guys we will be coming back and a massive thank you to the delivery driver Eddie top guy

The quality of the food isn't good and also this is reflected with their hygiene, reception area is small and staff really need to learn to smile and greet customers.

Absolutely disgraceful customer service, they leave things of your delivery order When I called to ask for the item they said they will send it out. One hour later and still waiting for item to be delivered I called them back for them to constantly putting down the phone Ringing from a different mobile number they answered very impolite staff with a terrible attitude Please be mindful of this when ordering your food on just eat with this takeaway if they do not send all items ordered you are not very likely to get them redelivered I did try to make the point that if I did not have enough to pay for a meal they would not send so why as a customer who has already paid not get the items they have paid for

Fried rice tasted like wholemeal. Nice meat but not enough sauce

Our usual Chinese was closed last night so we tried here instead. We got honey chilli chicken, special curry and special fried rice with noodles and chips. It arrived within 25 minutes and all tasted lovely and fresh. The only issue was the curry was a little too thick could do with it being more saucey. Will definitely be returning here.

Where do I start our order turned up cold and food missing phoned the shop to be told they will replace the order and give only £5 off for the mistake food replaced no £5 refund tried to ring the shop they put the phone down on me twice and the ignored my calls so had to drive down there. They then said they didn’t say about having five pound off never ever would I order from here again the food really was poor and the staff were even worse apart from the delivery driver she was lovely 😡😡😡😡😡😡

I've had much worse and I've had loads better. Was a little bland (chicken fried rice) but it was edible and hot. The chips were very dry! Probably won't go again, but just my personal choice.

i had this place suggested to me , decided to try it out food was cooked perfect great price and quality and quantity very impressed, customer service excellent.

Tried welcome a couple of times now in the last couple of weeks as most other Chinese seem to be on holiday. Hasn't disappointed, great crispy duck starter, extensive menu, would recommend.

Absolutely appalling, some of our order was missing. When I rang to ask for it I was told it would be half an hour and hung up on. 40 mins later I rang up to enquire on when it would arrive, and was told it would be a further hour. Refused to replace our full meal despite the rest of it being cold. Totally rude and incompetently ran. Will never order from here again

Was recommended this Chinese from friends, they are seriously off the Christmas card lift! Ordered at 8:20 and told to expect a 40 - 45 minute wait, had friends and kids round with being the summer holidays. After a hour and 20 minutes I rang the restaurant to be told my meal was ready and had been a while, however the delivery driver was already out. Didn't stay on the phone as didn't want to take it out on the young lass working on orders. Wasn't a small order and complained through Just Eat, offered a bottle of coke for the delay. Declined, demanded payment to be cancelled and then when the driver did turn up refused at the door. Why would anyone want food they have paid over the odds for, that's been sat for over a hour waiting to be delivered. Joke - stay away! Not worth the wait.. Kids sent to bed after tea and toast (meant to be a treat night), absolutely ruined, sat with friends waiting for food.

Rubbish, got the order wrong, when it eventually appeared it was short and they refused to deliver the meal they charged me for. They still owe me for a meal, would HIGHLY NOT RECOMEND.

Food is always cooked fresh and is ready very quickly. Have have no bad meals from here. Only negative is their chips, like most Chinese's are frozen, not the best.

Order was late. Order was wrong. Tasted awful. Dry noodles. Missing sauces and a main meal we ordered. Went to McDonald's instead!

Ordered via Just Eat. Spent 35 with Just Eat and another 12 cash for extras after order went through. Long wait to be delivered over an hour and a half. Delivered cold. Whole duck pancakes burnt crispy inedible. Chicken reconstituted processed worse than value range prob not even real chicken. Everything tasted artificial and re heated. Entire order not eaten. Wouldn't even be eaten at a homeless shelter. Junk food reaches a new height...
