We've been here several time now and I really can't recommend highly enough. The food is exquisite authentic Indian cuisine. The service is first class. The waiters and manager genuinely care and make sure that your experience is amazing. Two for one cocktails at happy hour are a bonus. We also stayed at the 4 star hotel Farnley Tower that is attached to the restaurant and it was great. If you love great attentive service and fantastic authentic Indian food this is the place for you!!!

Went here for dinner. My husband had the French onion soup (which he had had on a previous occasion) and said it was not as good as the first time he had ordered it. I just had a steak & onion baguette which was pretty average. Service was okay but no-one checked to see if everything was okay with our meals.

I took mum here for breakfast last week as we were staying in the area but when I asked what gluten free options were available the lady said "nothing". We had a coffee and left to find somewhere to eat - luckily the bakery/cafe along the street had a couple of sweet options available.

Original review was "Really nice tearooms - I'll definitely call in again if I'm passing. Lovely food and really cosy atmosphere with very pleasant staff." EDIT reduce from ⭐⭐⭐⭐ to ⭐⭐. The owner has changed since my last vist. Called today and was very disappointed. Walked in and the owner and manager were sat at a table talking. It took 5 minutes before anyone approached. The manager was friendly enough, and directed us to sit at one of the tables. The table had crumbs and jam on it - we had to ask for it to be cleaned. Food served, though expensive, looked okay, until I bit into a shard of plastic (see photo). I couldn't finish meal, and have felt nauseous since. To be fair to cafe they didn't charge for the jacket potato with the shard in it. When I told my wife about today, she told me she visited a few weeks ago and saw the cook enter the toilet wearing the apron 🤮 and wouldn't visit again. Neither will I.
