I took mum here for breakfast last week as we were staying in the area but when I asked what gluten free options were available the lady said "nothing". We had a coffee and left to find somewhere to eat - luckily the bakery/cafe along the street had a couple of sweet options available.

Food OK but nothing special. Nicely presented but on the pricey side. Tables crammed in. Glass table top badly scarred all over, a potential breeding ground for germs, needs to be replaced. Unlikely that we would ever visit again.

Where's the lovely inviting staff gone!? Walked in no one smiled just looked at me like 'why are you here'! Dark dingy decor and dark dingy staff. Got a bowl of chunky chips and a cranberry juice for just over £6. In another review it says they don't do gluten free food because of the health risk but they do dairy free food 🤨 makes me worry how dairy free it is if they can't do gluten free! Tables are too close together have to squidge round one another! There was only 3 tables being used and not many reserved but they sat us all down in a line so definitely squished! Overall I wouldn't recommend unfortunately. Would love to be able to recommend to bring people to the area but not this cafe. Would be greatly improved by some light coloured decoration and some atleast smiling not arms crossed 'huffy' staff!

Poor service, asked about gluten free food only to be told that there was nothing on the menu! So now not even a jacket potato contains gluten- ridiculous…..and why so dark? We found a lovely cafe along the road who were so accommodating!

Visited with friends for a late lunch. Had phoned prior to visit to ask if I could book a table and was told they didn't take reservations so surprised when we arrived to find the only table available had a reserved sign on it!! Asked if we could sit there as it was obviously reserved (despite being told they didnt take bookings?) and was told it was ok. Placed was packed, with lots of families with young children as it was half term. Very noisy. Far too many tables which are placed too close together, making it difficult to get to a table never mind having to navigate to the counter to order food and drinks. Think they could do with losing at least one table. 2 menus were placed under the glass on the table making it impossible for all 4 people to read them without either standing up (impossible as no room to do so) or swoppong seats. We resorted to removing from under the glass!! Menu choice was good, not too expensive. Service was prompt. Food was very tasty although one of our items was toasted when we had wanted a plain sandwich but we accepted it as it would have meant 3 of us would have been eating while one sat waiting for the sandwich to be remade. Will probably return but certainly not during school holidays. Oher draw backs: having to order food at the counter - even a lot of pubs these days offer table service - and having to pay for food when ordering.

At first I wasn't sure if the cafe was open, as it seemed to be in darkness. As we entered, we were asked if we were having food or just coffee. I hadn't stopped to read the menu outside the front door as it was cold and raining, so I asked if I could sit at a table and see the menu before I decided. We ordered food which arrived after only a short wait. It was tasty and nicely presented and the staff were polite. The cafe was nicely furnished and decorated, but unfortunately it felt dull and gloomy as it was very dark inside with only a few ceiling spotlights on. The window blinds were also pulled about two thirds down and as it was quite a dark rainy day, there was no extra natural light coming in. I wondered if there was a problem with the lights but I didn't like to ask. Our table was quite cramped in a space near the door to the toilet. My chair almost touched the chair at the table behind which meant that customers wanting to visit the toilets were having to squeeze past between the two chairs. After a few customers had squeezed through and back, I decided to push our table along to make more space. I would have preferred a different table as there were others free, but on a previous visit I had asked to move tables but was told it wasn't possible as I must have a table for two, even though the cafe was very quiet on that occasion. Therefore I didn't ask this time. To summarise, the food was nice, staff polite, but it was very dark which unfortunately made it feel cold and unwelcoming despite the efforts of the staff.

Been three times since the change of ownership and its excellent. Delicious food, lots of choice, good service and its deservedly popular, there is also some outside seating where you can watch the local world go by, can get rather "tight" and crowded indoors at times. I can particularly recommend the paninis with chips and salad and coleslaw, and the Sausage, mash and peas and onion gravy. The new owners have made this the centre of Wolsingham social life in the daytime ! Very popular with locals and walkers.

Bad food and bad service. I went there for Saturday lunch, ordered jacket potato, the tomatoes in salad had gone off, colour changed and tasted awful, and the lettuce was dirty and went black already, you can see it from the photo. 4 of us visited today after a run around the Wolsingham area. We sat outside for 10 to 15 minutes but nobody came out to take an order so 3 of us went inside to order. Stood at the counter for 5 minutes and were totally ignored by 3 members of staff who did not even have the grace to acknowledge our presence. After 5 minutes standing like statues we left. Absolutely no customer awareness shown. Just a simple "Hello, we will be with you in a minute" would have been fine. We will not be returning in any great hurry

After a visit in 2020 I left a 5 star review on here but very disappointed after visiting again today. I asked the staff if it had changed hands in the last couple of years and was told that it had - it’s very obvious that standards & value for money have dropped as a result. The fish finger sandwich used to be amazing but sadly, it’s now served on dry, unbuttered, thin and cheap bread with hardly any tartar sauce instead of the thick, fluffy bakery loaf it once had. I had to ask for butter when I mentioned there was non - I wasn’t offered an apology or explanation as to why the bread was dry & without butter - despite the fact I was obviously dissatisfied. The home made coleslaw which used to accompany it has disappeared and the frozen chips were fewer. Very disappointing considering the £7.60 price. My mother chose quiche, chips and salad which arrived limp and soggy and unfortunately, upset her tummy and went straight through her so we had to return home immediately- cutting our day out short.£7.95 down the drain - literally. All condiments are now served in sachets instead of bottles and the cafe was dark as the interior lights in the ceiling weren’t switched on. For some reason there was also a shredder on the floor next to our table - why?? Such a shame that the quality has dropped so much but the price remains high. We will not be returning

Food was superb and I suppose that is what an eating establishment is there to provide and that is why we gave it 5* , but ambience and being made welcome also are important . The young man who we first encountered was great and took our order in a friendly and efficient manner , there was also serving / table waiting another older man who was not as friendly and whose attitude and body language was not welcoming . We overheard him telling another customer that he was the owner , well by all means be proud (and you should be) of your cafe but try to to enjoy what you have done here . Really nice surroundings and coffee bar, they had good menu plus specials for lunch. Not the cheapest, breakfast including drinks was £10 per person, but you wouldn't be needing lunch! We revisited the cafe, after our previous less than glowing experience. Again with children, who were well behaved. The staff were welcoming, the food, not cheap but very well presented, and delicious, so I would like to completely refute my previous impression, and say how nice a visit it was.

We stopped off in Wolsingham on our way from Newcastle to Carlisle. No 10 sits overlooking the town square, it looks smart and clean from the outside and is equally smart and clean on the inside. We were welcomed as soon as we walked in the door, always a good sign of customer service. We opted for the full breakfast which arrived with perfect timing and was a really lovely looking plate of food, too much for us both as it happens but really good quality ingredients. The Owner (not sure if thats true) was very friendly and came and asked about where we were heading and was very happy to make suggestions for the local area. I lovely find in an area we don't know, but worth a detour if you are within striking distance. No hesitation in giving it 5/5.

We had just arrived in Wolsingham at the start of a week's holiday and decided to take a short stroll around the village. No 10 made a perfect stop on a wet Saturday afternoon. We were greeted with a warm smile and a great cup,of coffee. I, also, enjoyed a delicious slice of sausage roll. We sat next to the book shelves and spent a leisurely 40 minutes dipping into a variety of photo books. A great place to pass time.

Popped in for a late breakfast before we went for a walk in the dale. We managed to miss the breakfast menu and had to look jealously on at other peoples which looked very nice. We picked off the lunch menu and I had a lovely pannini. The menu and options were extensive, and my wife was very impressed with her coffee. Would recommend for either breakfast, lunch, snacks or drinks if you are in the area.

Buena relación calidad-precio, un menú sencillo de sándwiches hechos a pedido, chaquetas, ensaladas y tartas. Sabroso, comida fresca para llevar (una pequeña sentarse en la mesa. )
