We went for the Wednesday pie night special!!!!! WOW the pies are absolutely unbelievable,we opted for mince and onion and the Lamb and mint SUPERB!!!!!!

Came across here by chance, decided to give it a try. 1st impression was cheerful friendly staff. Went with the two mains for £18 option. Both dishes were very good and freshly cooked. My wife then had the cheese cake which was home made and very good. Based on what we had and other meals we seen would recommend giving here a try

Turned up without booking and was really busy but staff found us a table with 5 minute wait if that. Absolutely lovely food, huge portions, very well presented, great choice on menu as well as specials. Would definitely recommend and be back again!

We was down from Scotland , visiting our good friends in Durham,they had booked The above restaurant for our Sunday lunch. The food was superb,as was the staff, who made you feel very welcome indeed,looking forward to our next trip down to friends ,and make another reservation for more delicious 2/3 courses of perfect food .

Had the best meal iv had in a very long time ,I got belly pork it was absolutely beautiful with beautiful mash with cabbage and side veg and onion gravy. My partner had the mixed grill the best he's ever had , good quality meat cooked perfectly with all trimmings, service was very attentive , owner even came to ask if all was well and had a chatt, will highly recommend and definitely will return soon .

Had the "two meals for £18 " deal which is noon to 5pm only. Liver and bacon, wife's meal, Chinese mild chicken curry for me. Both plentiful, hot and tasty. Quick service, relatively friendly.

Out for Sunday lunch today so thought we’d try the Three Horseshoes at Maiden Law as I’ve been quite a bit recently and thoroughly enjoyed everything I’ve had. But today the offering was nothing short of grim. Lukewarm vegetables piled on top of one another on a plate that was too small for the amount of food piled on it. The veg offering consisted of spoon of mashed turnip and a few mushy peas a sad little heap of over boiled grey looking cabbage. This was accompanied by a too large pile of small rock hard whole carrots that were so undercooked you couldn’t cut them with your knife. Mash was nice enough but we didn’t need 5 “roast’ potatoes and a lump of hard parsnip chucked on the plate too. Wouldn’t have been so bad if they were nice crispy roasties but they tasted more baked than roasted and were soft and soggy so I suspect they’d been cooked earlier and reheated. The lamb and Yorkshire pudding were good. At £17.95 it was very disappointing. When I complained at the till the manageress responded with, “our carrots are hard and our portions are big”. Ok …. 🤔. I go there quite regularly and I’ve had really tasty food there recently but I absolutely cannot recommend the Sunday lunch. ☹️

Appalling service and told wait for food would be over an hour. We left hungry and went elsewhere where we had a fabulous meal and service.

Nice pint of neckoil. Food was alright, alot of variety at the cost of quantity. Meat & gravy let the side down, veggies a variety perked up conclusion & saved things a smidgen

17 of us went for afternoon tea. (Hen do) Tables covered beautifully, staff fantastic, food amazing and at a great price! Couldn't ask for better. Looking forward to my wedding there!

We called at the Three Horse Shoes last Saturday for a drink and a meal. The meals were excellent value for money. We had Scampi chips peas and salad and the steak pie and chips. Both meals were cooked to perfection and the steak pie was the biggest I have ever had with loads of steak in it. Would recommend this pub to anyone wanting a value for money meal.

Held a event here, staff were rude, the heat in conservatory is unbearable (no fans) expensive for what they offer which isn't much. Would not recommend

My partner and myself been this evening, food out of this world delicious, little bit pricey but worth it. Staff absolutely fantastic really friendly. Enjoyed that much booked Sunday lunch for next week. Oh and must not forget guy singing was brilliant. Partner had mixed grill, l had pan-fried chicken and black pudding chips are something else. Loved it.

Extortionate prices for beer that tastes off, and rude staff. Wouldn't rush back

We had a lovely meal here last night. Tapas was fantastic Staff were very friendly and attentive When they suggest less tapas please listen, we didn't and we got loads of food, but nothing wasted as we had it boxed up and taken home Too full for pudding but we ordered and got a takeaway 😋 Great night thankyou ☺️

Had a burger and fries which was amazing! Huge portion. The burger was cooked to perfection and super tasty. Staff were welcoming and friendly and the wait for service was miniscule. Definitely go again.

booked for my daughters 18th meal with family , food and service lovely , paid £50 for decorating which to be honest were clearly not worth the money , as the ballon's were mainly deflated and the 18 was almost down , i pass this place many times and i know the arch was in the conservatory for at least 2 weeks prior, so although food was lovely i feel disappointed about the so called decorations i paid for

we have been here a few times and the food and service were excellent, but tonight... ,it was a complete disappointment. service was good but food ,well let's say it a ordinary vet would have had my burger back on its feet and in the field with half an hour. there is expected juice from tye burger but not to make my bun top and bottom soaked in blood. Will avoid this place for a while

Service was very slow, took ages for our starter, but when it came we did enjoy them.. mains was ok, but not great..

I went for New Year’s Eve meal & all tables were crammed together it felt like you could hardly move the menu was limited to around 8 items my friend had the parmo & chips & it was pre cooked fries I chose the mixed grill & it came with proper home made chips but certainly wasn’t worth £17.95 as most of the meat was very fatty. I asked at the bar for a coke & was told only Diet Coke despite me saying there’s normal coke next to it I was told there mixers for spirits!! I certainly wouldn’t recommend this pub to anyone!

Christmas night out, seating was cramped, when I sat down I was so close to the chair behind it blocked the walk way, I was asked repeatedly to pull my chair in, this was impossible, I could not get any closer to the table. Food not the best, vegetables well under cooked, I like a crunch, that was too much. As this had been arranged by a member of our team, no one wanted to complain on the evening.

Visited here last Wednesday evening, had a table booked for 3 people at 8pm. Service was fantastic, 4 waiting staff came at various points to make sure everything was OK and all were very attentive and friendly. Food was served quickly and it was delicious, we will certainly return.

I've given a 4 for atmosphere as there was a singer on, who was very good, but was very loud. It was hard to hold a conversation.

We were at the Three Horse Shoes on Saturday night, with a group of seven people the food was absolutely delicious, I had scampi along with my wife it was the nicest I have ever had, the side salad chips and tartare sauce was lovely, will definitely be going back. Top marks from me.

Just had sunday lunch today29-10-2023 and it was fabulous they very kindly made up a doggy dinner for my best friend finn aswell which I thank you for staff are very friendly thank you fully recommend this place x

Just left the pub for the first time and very disappointed. My husband had the fish goujons and chips which were lovely, I ordered a fillet steak. When it came I couldn't chew parts of the meat due to fat and gristle. When I was asked if it was OK I said I was disappointed with the amount of fat on a fillet. I was told she would tell the chef. When we came to pay £57.25 I was asked again if everything was OK and I re-iterated that I was unhappy with the steak and the evidence was on the plate with the amount of meat sent back. If only I had taken a photo. The waitress looked at the owner who said there is no fat on a fillet, which I am well aware of and why I always order one. She told the waitress to speak to the chef and she came back and said he was a butcher and that he said it was OK. The really disappointing thing here was the whole attitude which effectively called me a liar despite the evidence being on the plate. Finally I got an apology from the waitress, not the owner. I would never go back there again because of the whole attitude from the owners. Whatever happened to customer service. Do they really have so many customers they can afford to treat one like this and turn away future custom? They have certainly lost me as a possible returning customer and I will make sure everyone knows how I was treated.

Shoehorned onto a table in a thoroughfare, waited 15 minutes for order to be taken, then 30 minutes later, no starters yet, told the meat one of the party selected was all gone so had to choose alternative. Staff then had to have full blown discussion about whos fault it was, despite there having been significant period of time passed between ordering snd food running out. Nothing else on menu of interest so left to go elsewhere. Sadly, won't be rushing back, food looked ok but not spectacular enough to tempt me back.

Brilliant place for food and drink, went there in August for dinner. Even though they were busy for the night and we were a walk-in of 8 (9 including a child) they accommodated us. I sent my apologies to the kitchen as an ex-chef I know what it's like. But the staff were outstanding and food was amazing. Cocktails we had were tasty too! Much better service than what I received from The Langley Park Hotel.

Visited on a recommendation, so glad I did, great place great food friendly staff. In my opinion compared to other local popular haunts, this place is possibly the best for the food and value for money. Now I'm recommending it to you.

Brilliant 👍😊 food was delicious, service was impeccable and they were even nice enough to smile and go along with my father in law's odd requests, like a full glass of just ice as well as the one with his Coke in. Price was spot on as well, definitely will be returning sooner rather than later.

Probably the best pub meal we have had in a very long time.

First visit here for years, although there were over 14 of us we were served promptly, waitresses were lovely and food was delicious. I had a chicken gyros with fries and was perfect. Will definitely be back to sit in the beer garden or the comfy sofas inside.

Absolutely shocking customer service, owner and Daughter arguing at the bar as we went in, overcharged on bill and over an hour wait for food, certainly won't be returning

Service a little slow but obviously everything cooked to order and because of this the food was excellent. Attentive friendly staff and great value.

For pub food this was great. My t-bone steak was cooked rare and was excellent. Value for money re portions was also very good.

Amazing meal here, got skins to start, chicken gyros for main and a toffee crunch dessert. Was amazing and highly recommend

Lunch today. 12pm-5pm ...Two dine for £18. We had mince and dumplings with mash, carrots, broccoli and cabbage... absolutely gorgeous. Food was hot, Plates were warm ( we all know a good meal on a cold plate is a ruined meal) ...so happy days there. The dumpling is of the scone type and not the suet type. And is large! The whole meal is huge so be prepared. The mince was excellent and of a high quality, extra gravy if required is of no extra cost and speedily brought to the table. Service was fantastic and swift.. all done with grace,charm and big smiles. Nice to see staff who genuinely care about their customers. Parking is fine with extra spaces round the rear of the pub. Nice interior pub style seating area but this pub has a wonderful conservatory which would be fantastic for family gatherings, etc. But just a great place to sit. I would phone first and book it rather than just turn up as it's very popular. The beer and spirits are very competitively priced so won't break the bank. So...great food, great service,great venue and great value for money...you do the maths... Thank you to the Three Horse Shoes Inn for a great lunch...we will return.
