Pleasant, helpful staff. Good service and a large portion. I didn't have a starter and I still couldn't finish it! Good parking facilities.

10/10 I have been here a couple of times and it’s amazing. The food is top notch, fresh and good portions. I’m always asking for a box to take away leftovers because there is so much. The desserts are lovely. Such a good selection on the menu. Will be going back soon.

Last time we visited it wasn't nice... But will try again as was the first time we had bad meals. Will be trying again in the near future. I didn't write this review to get vouchers. Been back since and food and service spot on as always.

Nice pub. Had my first ever parmo! Was not disappointed. Got a 4 'cause I had a burger before there that wasn't great, but that's probably a personal taste thing. Was very busy which is unsurprising given it seems popular.. But there's plenty of room and staff were attentive. Beer choice could be better, lacking in ales, but they had guinness. Seems family friendly and a tad expensive but overall pretty good.

New menu so had lasagne and chips. Was a large size, ended up leaving some but was lovely. Staff were friendly.

Got a parmo for the first time and can safely say I believe it'll be the best parmo I will ever have. The menu all looks amazing so will be back to try other meals.

This is the first time me and my wife have dined here, and we were not disappointed, a great variety of food on the menu for every appetite, we WILL be returning very soon, and I recommend that even if you visit the once , you won't be disappointed.

Bit chaotic on Sunday lunchtime - if you book first I don't think you should queue with people who have just turned up hoping for a table - should be a quick book in system for those prebooked. Carvery was lovely though.

I’ve honestly never had a bad meal here I’ve been eating here for about ten years it’s certainly my go to place for a Sunday carvery it can get busy on a Sunday but it’s because everybody knows how good the roasts are,the service has always been good also the staff are always trying to go the extra step to ensure everything is ok i honestly can’t fault the staff despite how much there rushing about they will always take 5 minutes out to ensure your ok. I’ve been in hospitality for over 30yrs & i can honestly see they have a great team here!

Food was nice, good value pub food. Service was OK too. Pub decor is a bit dated... but for a reasonable meal it's OK. Decent sized car park. Easy to get to.

Went for lunch, and although busy there was plenty of room I had the Steak pie which was full of steak and the mashed potato was nice and creamy. In actual fact I could not manage to eat all of the Steak because I was stuffed full. The staff are great and it was money well spent.

All the staff I encountered were very friendly and efficient, particularly nice as they were young which can be hard to find sometimes. I finished off my stay with a beautifully cooked breakfast, great ingrediants and a perfect poached egg. Delicious, thank you.

We decided to treat my mother and cousin to The Christmas Day meal that was available this year. From the initial phone call to book the table to the day itself things ran very smoothly, additional help being able to pay for the whole thing in instalments after the initial deposit was paid. The day itself was beyond my expectations. Friendly reception after walking through the door into a very nice open layout. Quickly sat at our tables and then the day started. Starters arrived promptly after the drink order was taken. The queue for the carvery part of the meal progressed at a decent speed given how busy the Christmas Meal bookings were. The food was cooked well, the serving staff were readily talkative which helped my mother (chatterbox I swear). Left with smiles on our faces and no space in our belly's for even the smallest snack. Highly recommend!

We had tea with Santa tonight and it was incredible. The food was amazing, the staff were fantastic and everyone went above and beyond to make it magical for the children.

First time here, it's a lovely place. Really good food portion sizes, good quality food which also tasted delicious. The staff were really friendly and the place is cosy and warm.

Lived in the area for almost 2 years but hadn’t been.. came midweek (no booking) got our table really quickly.. Food was lovely and will definitely be returning.. Homemade chips are absolutely lush!

Whenever I visit my Dad's in Leadgate, I have to visit. It's my favourite place. The food is fantastic and very reasonably priced, most meals are about 12-13 quid. The Steak Pie is so good. I realised they do carverys too so I'll be trying one next time, the Yorkshires are massive!

Absolutely packed, but the service was very quick for the carvery. I went for a takeaway it was delicious... You could serve yourself with veg etc.. I will return.

Lovely staff, very friendly and welcoming, service was fantastic. Food was delicious, the chips were amazing. Only marked down a star for a few little things like my friends mentioned the bread on their subs was dry and my chicken was a little dry too. Still thoroughly enjoyed my first visit and would happily return.

The staff are the best I've ever come across, anywhere, they're welcoming, polite, attentive & nothing you ask or request is a bother to them. The carvery is lovely too, very tasty & even the chefs are friendly! It's a great family pub & always very clean & tidy. They're also very keen to support & help those less fortunate, especially the homeless & donate food to a charity food kitchen, who are always extremely grateful.

Lovely food, I got the hot beef sandwich with fries, had a choice of them or chunky chips. Great service the staff were friendly, on the ball to notify us thst there was ongoing work and apoloized for noise. Definitely will be back.

What a beautiful meal at The Jolly Drovers. The staff were all committed to great service and were very friendly. The atmosphere was awesome and the whole menu looked amazing. We chose the steak and the hot beef baguette, both meals were absolutely delicious. The steak was cooked to perfection and the hot beef melted in your mouth. Our desserts were heavenly - red velvet cheesecake and raspberry ripple ice cream. 10 out of 10 from us - we will definitely be back!

Went on the off chance and wasn't disappointed! Meal was lush and the staff were great. The only thing I would say is the table we were at had a glass partition with a decal on it which made which made it weird sat next to another couple. It also made you feel like you was in the walkway but hey ho you have to get in were you can so it's no way a complaint! Highly recommended 👌

Lovely carvery and varied menu which is reasonably priced. Some gluten free options, which is always a bonus. Large seating area, so always a good chance of a table if you haven't book in advance. Pleasant, friendly staff. Parking is a bit problematic at busy times.

We arrived 12.30pm. Taken to a table straight away. Drinks came promptly. We chose the carvery. There was a good choice of meats and vegetables. Yorkshire puddings and gravy were great. Most enjoyable few hours and at a decent price. Will be returning.

Over the years, the reputation of The Jolly Drivers has ebbed and flowed. I am pleased to say that, at this moment in time, it is in good hands - Food was excellent, there is an excellent lager choice, and they actually have some real ale (which always have to be sampled). I look forward to going back.

Love meal would recommend to anyone .

Loved the meal and the atmosphere

Very busy on the Thursday night, when I was there. The food was good, and didn't take too long to arrive. Drinks were maybe a little expensive, but I think that they may have just been normal prices, as everything has increased in price lately. One thing I would be a bit careful about, my friend asked for a fruit cider, normally this would come as a bottle with a glass of ice, but here it came as a glass full of ice with the cider already added. This meant paying full price for the bottle, but getting less than half of the cider. My friend complained about this and they took the price off the bill.

Food was bland pineapple ring was greasy, oh and the 'dirty ' plate was blamed on the dishwasher !

Turned up for Sunday lunch and was very pleased and surprised. We hadn't booked but luckily we were early as it is obviously very popular. Shown to our table and attended to straight away. Ordered the carvery. All the meats were lovely with a large range of vegetables, all well cooked, to accompany, plus gravy and sauces. Excellent value, with a nice pint. Good food and ambience. Well done.

I was there on Saturday an d ordered mince and dumplings and new potatoes the potatoes were rock hard like they had been cooked in the morning and kept hot all day which made them hard and very.dry.the mince was just say warm and I wasn't impressed. I know you can get a nice meal here as I have done in the past .I feel that it is somehow personal as my family all said their meal was fine .

I was here a few years ago and it was good but this time I went it was awful to a point I will not go back, first it took 45 minutes to take our order, they forgot my meal when they served my family, then when I did get it the taste and texture of the meat was not worth eating. Was not impressed this may have been a one off but not sure

First time dining out here and was very impressed. Five of us had a meal there and everybodys food was exceptionally good quality and price was fair for what you get. The staff were great, friendly and welcoming. Will definitely go back soon. Well done the Jolly Drovers👍😊

Had an amazing meal here. The staff were first class and very friendly. From arriving we were looked after and the staff even took time to chat when we were leaving. The food is amazing!!! Hint.... order the steak and ale pie. 👌 (it's unreal). This was a first time visit and now firmly on our radar for future visits.

A very busy and popular restaurant. Really lovely food and the portion size was generous. Good service and the prices are very reasonable, shall definitely go back and I recommend to anyone who is looking to have a nice meal with friends.

Have had numerous fabulous carverys but tonight I got a takeout and was served the end of the gammon and turkey both were dry and hard so maybe throw the little end bits away or give it to your dogs like I did

The place to go for a carvery. Friendly staff .family orientation. Good food nice atmosphere. One of my top five places to eat my number 1 for carvery. Bad points it can get busy and parking can be a issue

Carvery was delicious as were the desserts. Had a bit of a wait for our table despite booking ahead but it was worth the wait!

Very busy when we were there. Only popped in for a drink but lots of people eating. Big garden area

Always been a fan of this place but this time I was left very let down! I got the breakfast burger and it was literally swimming in oil and fat I no it will naturally be but I no for a fact it should not be this much the bun was a sloppy mess! My wife got her normal favourite garlic chicken and mushroom but this time actually left most of it! As she got a mouth full of what seemed to be powdered granules for the sauce she had to spit it out into the napkin! We never got asked once if anything was ok the staff were very much not interested that day! Unfortunately won't be returning for the menu food I will try the carvery next time I think!
