I seldom ever leave reviews but as my food arrived I had the urge to let everyone know how good this was . Beef roll full to brim , the most golden crispy chips and plenty of extra gravy . A credit to the north east !

I have no idea how they managed to deliver the perfect egg roll but they did, firm white and beautiful runny yolk. Gorgeous bacon roll, absolutely yummy scone cream and jam cream tea and strawberry tart. If I could give more than 5 stars I would

Food is amazing used them alot over the last few months for takeaway and the buffet. the staff are amazing are very polite and helpful :)

The latte is truly terrible. Tastes like powdered milk. No coffee taste at all.its literally freezing in here too.

Not one to usually leave reviews but Lous deserves one, was delivered quick and food was really good. Good portion sizes, value for money too

Amazing food! The Yorkshire pudding wrap was a good size and packed with lovely tender beef. It came with tasty gravy and loads of proper chips. The cheesecake was delicious and fresh. my daughter and I shared the food between us and there was easily enough for both of us. it was delivered hot at the exact time we requested by a very pleasant lady. I will definitely be ordering from Lous again and would be happy to recommend this place to anyone

Lou's Cafe provided outside catering for my dads funeral in July 2024 and it was superb. Fresh and homemade - all that you need. The sandwiches were full and fresh with no skimping on the fillings. The service was perfect with Louise having to co-ordinate her delivery with other activities at the venue at the same time. I would recommend this cafes outdoor catering to anyone. They also supply vegetarian options. Carrot cake and cheesecake (mixed berry) beautiful! thank you Kath x

Our organisation have used Lou’s twice for a corporate buffet at our events. It has been exemplary every time. The food is fresh, delicious and there is a great variety. I would highly recommend them for any event if you need catering. Johan

We have recently used Lou’s cafe for a corporate Buffet we asked for the deluxe option and can honestly say it was fantastic everyone was more than happy with the food very nice fresh items and the the different choices were great they even provided a vegan option for us in their own box would 100 per cent recommend and we will most certainly be back

Not bad all round just 10 quid for a breakfast is daylight robbery and that's pub meal territory.

Went for food and the cafe food was awful. Cheese burger was from frozen, brick solid, with the burger bun being toasted to a crisp making a horrible crunch and grated cheese slapped on without even being completed melted on. Chips were okay and homemade but over oiled and can lead to a sickly feeling. Milkshake was okay but had a good amount of frozen ice at the bottom making it un drinkable. For the price of £10 for a burger I wouldn't even go near it, better at a van. Would recommend buying more fresh food and cooking on the day, especially since the majority of food there is morrisons so it's bizarre to not use decent quality meat for the burger.

My wife and I called in for two breakfasts on a Saturday morning and they were very nice.Service was excellent and very friendly.Highly recommend it for a place to eat.

The food here is lush home made and filling love the home made chips as you hardly get them in cafes now and the quiche was beautiful…. Even took a cheeky biscoff eclairs home and was huge so stuffed I even missed tea that night ….. great value for money

Food was average at best for the price and coffee was an absolute disappointment coffee flavoured water and for the price I expected something half decent for what was charged Only good point was staff were polite and food came out quick

Dropped in for a bacon and sausage cob while on the way to Beamish Museum. Warm greeting and lovely food at a great price all served with a smile. Perfect!

Chicken Jalfrezi was supprisingly good for cafe food. Experience let down by other guests from my group being unsble to order their prefered choice because the fryer was off. They could nit even offer fried onions??? Otherwise, friendly service.

Came in for ice cream and milkshakes on Sunday and was not disappointed, the kids loved their ice cream and my milkshake was amazing made with fresh fruit. Staff were absolutely lovely and made a point to come and talk to the kids, makes it feel so welcoming. Will be back again to sample some of the amazing looking food that I saw other tables eating.

Lovely breakfast and a free pot of tea

Popped in for a quick bite to eat and had a chicken balti and home cooked chips it was fantastic. If you're in town it would be worth popping in for a visit.

Recently discoved this place I enjoy their breakfast and always go for one when in the Chester Le Street area

Highly recommend their beef roll with chips and gravy. They also have a rotating selection of awesome cheesecakes too, which I also recommend. The breakasts are very generous and everything is very affordable.

Best by miles good choice of food

How I didn't know about this place is beyond me. The amount of food for the price is amazing. The food is freshly home made and tastes incredible. I got the Oreo cheesecake and strawberry tart but are them both before I remember to get a picture!

Would have been better it was table service. But apart from that, I couldn't fault the place. Lovely staff

Great little snack bar in the St Cuthbert centre. Plenty of choice on the menu. We'll spaced seating area and very friendly staff. Reasonably priced for both snacks and meals and good choice of specials

Not covid secure staff not wearing Face coverings and have to order at the counter both illegal ! Shame as our breakfasts were nice enough.

Came here for a Sunday lunch. £5.95 and a great portion. My partner had the hot beef roll. Both of us were impressed and certainly will come again.

Had afternoon tea delivered yesterday,absolutely beautiful .quantity and quality excellent and to top it off the young lady delivering was very pleasant ,highly recommend it .

Since the start of this pandemic Louise has been delivering meals to us every day for the last five weeks,the quality of the food is consistently excellent and they are amazing value for money,only £6 for a main course and dessert,the menu changes on a weekly basis and is quite imaginative without losing its emphasis on good wholesome cuisine,the team have been totally amazing in these very difficult times.Thanks again for a fantastic service provided.

First time here and a great little find. Clean and very pleasant. Toasties were superb and very reasonably priced. Didn't have them but the chips looked very good too - proper home made ones. Definitely be back I think.
