'Speak easy' with a secret door code! We had to try it. Pretty empty on a Friday night at 9pm so easily got a seat. Girls enjoyed a £35 bottle of prosecco and lads had pints/wine. Plenty of cocktails available and a good choice of alcohol free drinks. Nice not to have to go to bar as waiter service

Cocktails much improved in the last couple of months. Was there in March and they were not great, but last couple of visits have been excellent. A nice chilled place for a late drink in Durham.

Corey was great, catered to our every need. He recommended a personalised cocktail which exceeded expectations. Will definitely visit again.

Great service, friendly staff, we sat at the bar and the cocktails were fantastic, all made from scratch, had a great time!

We only had cocktails but they were all delicious and mine came with a fake £50 note attached that the waiter set on fire (on purpose)! A really cool vibe, I would recommend it, and a special mention for Josh the waiter who was lovely.

My wife and I visited here on a trip to Durham last week. We were recommend to visit this bar after being in Mr Fox and we are so thankful for the recommendation, the drinks here were truly top notch. This was complimented by the service from the very attentive staff. Some really nice garnishes and gimmicks accompanied the drinks. My wife really enjoyed the theatres with some fire and disappearing paper. We will make sure you plan this establishment on our next trip to the lovely city of Durham. I think we will bring our son and his wife too.

We booked a master class for my Hen Do. Josh and Marc were both very welcoming and the atmosphere in the bar is fabulous. We were shown how to make some cocktails before then each being able to make our own from the extensive menu. An absolutely amazing experience. Thank you guys for making it so much fun. From the somewhat tipsy bride to be!

Visited last night - cocktails were brilliant and the fererro rocher shots were delicious too! Lovely little venue, very clean and staff were friendly and attentive. We will be returning!

I've only been here twice. First time was banging! Amazing cocktails, good service. I would have travelled over from Newcastle on the train just to have some drinks here. Second time was disappointing. Got ignored for service a lot. Cocktails weren't great. Shame. I'd go back, but I wouldn't go out of my way anymore.

Absolute 10/10 visit to this place recently. I'm an avid cocktail drinker and this place truly exceeded expectations. We tried 6 from the menu (cannot remember all the names sadly) and loved every single one. One of them in particular has made it into my top 5 all time favourites (it had lychee and vodka I think?) Josh was a fantastic server. Friendly, great advice, good sense of humour and clearly knew his stuff. I'll 100% be coming back again. Oh and get the truffle and pecorino nut mix. Perfect savoury snack to accompany a cool sweet beverage.

Lovely staff, cool venue and the drinks are phenomenal. Always something new and the cocktails are really well thought out. Get the akasi tai umeshu (super sweet plum sake) with ice, or the E1Y whisky cocktail - will blow your mind

Great selection of cocktails. A bit pricey for some drinks but definitely worth it for the cocktails. Often overcrowded (pre-covid) after midnight so it might be difficult to get a seat (once the pandemic is over).

Pretty sure that it's supposed to be called Neville Street Depot now. But decent bar. Do not let them convince you that Goanus is nice. The Canadian lass is, without question, the best barkeep ever have ever met. Unparalleled. Bring on more time.

It's a bar with the conceit that it's a hidden '30s US depot. Lots of bare filament bulbs, walls and copper piping inside, nicely done. Big range of spirits. But quite cold, and a poor beer selection. And yet two of my friends absolutely love it...

Quite chic, quaint. Often return when I am in the area. Their selection of imports is very much to my liking.

Great cocktails, poor staff! Lovely place with so much potential. Went in and the staff made us feel like we were interrupting their conversation. Sat at the bar looking through the cocktail menu and the staff continued chatting overtly among themselves. Tried to order and had to interrupt them... Cocktails came and they were awesome, the venue was lovely also.

Just strongly dislike the vibe, and prices, probably quite a nice night out for the right people, but not my kind of place, felt a weird bit of exclusion when I last went here
