The best restaurants in Tower Hamlets London

My Rigotoni Zafferano was superb. Such a delicate combination of saffron and porcini.

E’ un ristorante molto caratteristico, in stile urban con richiami post industriali, nel vibrante quartiere londinese di Shoreditch. Facile da raggiungere con i mezzi pubblici, trovandosi a poco più di duecento metri dalla stazione di Shoreditch High Street della linea ferroviaria Windrush della Overground, e in prossimità di diverse linee di bus. E’ un ristorante specializzato in carni, presente anche in guida Michelin come ristorante “Bib Gourmand”. Tra i piatti principali il “beef brisket with mustard barbecue”, in menù a 18,5 sterline, esemplifica il loro approccio: è un piatto semplice, ma sprigiona un sapore intenso grazie alla ricca glassa barbecue, mentre la carne stessa è morbidissima, essendo stata cotta a fuoco lento nell'affumicatore per tutta la notte. Ottimo anche il “native breed pulled pork”, a 14,5 sterline. Tra gli “appetizer” i crispy ox cheek with anchovy mayo (cubetti di guancia di bue croccante con maionese alle acciughe), a 9.5 sterline, sono un altro punto forte, mentre l'intera esperienza è arricchita dal servizio cordiale e puntuale del personale (mancia del 12,5% aggiunta di default al conto assieme ad un altro contributo di 1 sterlina per iniziative di charity, che nel caso della mia visita era per il terremoto in Myanmar). Nonostante tutto, pur consigliandolo vivamente, lo valuto però solo con 4 palline e non con il massimo perché già verso le 20.30 di un normale giorno infrasettimanale, e quindi con il locale non al completo, parte delle già poche proposte presenti in menù erano esaurite. Inoltre, ed è un altro elemento che penalizza il locale, trovo che le porzioni siano abbastanza ridotte, e prendendo, come gran parte dei frequentatori, un “appetizer” e un “main” (antipasto più piatto principale) rischiate di avere ancora fame a fine pasto. Conto attorno ai 45 euro a persona, ma che può facilmente superare i 60 se, viste le porzioni piccole, prendete anche altro.

Ippudo is definitely our top ramen place. Food is always tasty but prices are going up steadily and portions are also shrinking. My chicken karage curry rice only has 2 pieces of chicken and it's £14?!! The chicken pieces were not too small but I would expect to have more than 2?? Noodle portions were still ok but it's closer to £20 now.

We recently held a networking session at Shuffle Club. What an absolute fantastic place. Over three floors it has so many fantastic places to hold events, training days or client fun sessions. We used the Shuffle Board which is brand new and such a great addition. All our members really enjoyed it, complete with our own bar, and when the food came out (Selection of great pizzas) it was completely devoured!

Amazing tasting lamb shawarma, the guys are always welcoming.. my nephews have dairy and nut allergies and I ask about what was in the meat ingredients and they went into great detail about how it’s prepared, and the lamb shawarma has milk in it..but the chicken doesn’t and is great for my nephews .👌

Odio dar 3 estrellas porque la comida era deliciosa, pero el servicio era horrible. El personal estaba demasiado ocupado coqueteando para tomar nuestra orden, comprobar cómo estábamos, y traer la factura. Algunos eran mejores que otros, pero muchos de ellos parecía que estábamos incomodando. También caro, así que esperábamos más.

Nos alojamos en el hotel contiguo por una semana y desayunamos allí 3 veces. Este lugar es ideal para un buen desayuno buffet a un precio razonable. Además su personal es amable, especialmente Sailu. Fue un placer verlo en esas mañanas.

Brillante restaurante. Gran menú con un montón de opciones. Todo era muy sabroso y el servicio era bueno. Cocina bastante única, así que si buscas probar algo nuevo, vale la pena echar un vistazo!

100% vegano rápido - comida - estilo lugar, con personal discreto y amable. Desafortunadamente, la noche que visitamos estaban fuera del “tofish”, que fue la razón principal por la que elegimos el restaurante. Los precios eran promedio, porciones justas, pero lo único que realmente disfrutamos fue el entrante de brocheta de setas.

We are currently staying at the Hyatt Place. The food in both Sotto Cucina Bar and Pocket Square is remarkable. Fresh ingredients, attention to detail and the flavours are beautiful. All the staff are attentive and helpful. Our breakfast beauty Daniel is genuinely one of the loveliest people we have ever met. Such a flair for hospitality and clearly loves what he does. We really felt it should be recognised. Thank you Daniel for making our morning memorable and for the amazing service and smiles! Highly recommend a stay here and you will not be disappointed with the choice of food and the excellent customer service.
