Attended this cafe 26/8/24. We were hoping to get something for brunch but were unsure if it would be open on a Bank holiday. Fortunately it was so we went inside. The 4 tables outside were occupied so we sat down at one of the tables inside. We were surprised there were no menus on our table. In fact no menus on any tables. 2 members of staff working, one who saw us come in and then proceeded to clean the table next to us. She never greeted us or offered to bring over menus. After 20 minutes we walked out. There loss. We had a great brunch at Layers bakers round the corner where food and customer service was excellent.

Poor review from Veek Ho below is spot on. The main server is so rude and shouldn’t really be dealing with the public. Such a poor reflection on London but we aren’t all like her honest! As Veeknalso mentions, the other 2 servers less public facing are lovely but they need to flip it round and stick the rude one out the back! Also, stuck the closed sign up 20 minutes before closing today and turned away people asking for a sandwich already in the counter as the kitchen was closed. Nice coffee made by the other 2 ladies though.

Nice little simple cafe at Trinity Buoy Wharf. Had a good English breakfast & espresso which was decent quality & value (except the sausages which were cheap & dry and need to be replaced with proper Cumberland ones IMO). The sweet Romanian lady (maybe she is the owner?) gave my dog loads of ham for free and a water bowl and she was so friendly and polite to me, made the experience great. I will be a regular here for sure as it’s just what you need when you live nearby. It’s like a premium greasy spoon / cafe vibe ♥️

Went in for a sandwich about 90% of the sandwich was full of sauce and salad and they had hardly put any chicken in the sandwich the amount of chicken in the sandwich was the size of an index finger for £6.95 this was absolutely not worth it and also I am feeling abit sick right now

Sat down and no one spoke to us nor given us the menu for 10 minutes so I assumed we had to order at the cashier. The lady at the tills had the worst attitude I’ve ever seen; not sure if she was racist or just had a bad day but looking at the reviews it seems like she just hates her job lol. When she brought over our food not a single word was spoken, immediately drop, turn and off she goes back to the kitchen, so efficient it would’ve been perfect if she worked at a fast paced restaurant but there were literally 2 tables of customers including us 😂 the Second Lady working in the kitchen was nice tho. Maybe this is family ran so yall can’t fire her but seriously if so many people complained you should really reconsider having her at the tills. The food was pretty good thooo

I used to come to this place for 2 years and stopped coming about 5 months ago because the staff was often rude and indifferent to us. Today, I decided to give it another go and came for brunch. The place was busy and the service understandably slower than usual which is completely fine. However, after 20 minutes of us seating at a table with dirty plates, towels and crumbs from the previous clients, I asked in the nicest possible way if our table could be cleared. The waitress rolled her eyes at me, gave me some attitude, cleared one plate and left us hanging with the rest of the dirty dishes. She then proceeded to serve our food on the table with the plates from the previous clients. I then asked for some sauce and she aggressively answered ‘I am busy, just go get it yourself from behind the till (literally behind the counter, in the kitchen). I can do with a slow service and an overwhelmed staff but I CANNOT do with being treated like crap and being given attitude when I ask for the most basic things like eating on an clean table. This is simply unacceptable. We were here with my family to spend a nice relaxing time and we left upset and feeling disrespected. I will not come back.

The breakfasts I think are the best thing on the menu. I enjoyed a tuna melt which is fine and a slice of cake with a coffee. I think quite a basic caff but a nice lunch. The reason for my low review is for Taylor Swift playing non stop. I don't care for her music and after a while it just made me want to leave!

I have been a regular visitor to the cafe for the last year. I was taken back by the rudeness and hostility of one particular member of staff that I encountered on my visit at The Orchard Cafe today. On previous visits, the service of the cafe has been faultless. I have always enjoyed my visits and have always had a pleasant experience and I must praise the rest of the staff for their hard work and friendliness. The cafe offers a fantastic variety of food and drink and I would like to clarify that what happened today was a stand-alone incident. Whilst I can appreciate that when service is busy, particularly at weekends, it can be challenging to keep cool under pressure. However, it is totally unacceptable to be impolite and speak to a customer in such an aggressive and rude manner. One member of staff pointed to my order; it was a cold cup of coffee that had been left opposite the checkout counter 20 minutes after I had taken my order. This particular member of staff accused me of not collecting my coffee but I was never let known that the coffee was ready. Understandably, mistakes can be made and this is not the issue that I am taking fault with here, it was the fact that I was spoken to in such an aggressive manner.

The only food outlet at Trinity Buoy Wharf, which looked OK. It was busy when we went in and despite the rude and unhelpful staff we ordered some food and a couple of hot drinks. After 30 minutes (we weren't in a rush to be anywhere) I queried as to if our food was on it's way and was told that our's was next. Within 2 minutes the drinks appeared. 5 minutes later we were informed that they had run out of one of the dishes that we had ordered (it had taken almost 40 minutes to realise this). At this point I told them to forget the food and requested a refund for the food. I was told that one of the dishes was available, with the implication that I was being unreasonable. I was reluctantly given a refund but at no point an apology. Maybe they should have paid for the staff to attend a customer service course.

Overall, this quaint container box café is worth visiting if you're in the area, the food portions are especially outstanding. For a more detailed review, please see the points below: Customer service - The customer assistant serving me (Roxana), and the lady managing the place were friendly and helpful. Price - The food has an average price, as the prices seem to reflect the average food prices seen in most cafés. Food - The food was well presented and tasty. The portion sizes were indeed generous as stated by reviewers. Vegan and vegetarian options are available in the menu. I ordered the "Morning at The Orchard" with a latte and chocolate croissant. It all tasted good. Unfortunately, the coffee cups are a small size and ordering a "large" only means having an extra shot of coffee on your small cup. Hygiene - I didn't see the members of staff wearing gloves when preparing the food. It doesn't help that they also had a customer's dog they were playing with in the kitchen. It's not a deal breaker for me, but I know it could be for alot of people. Atmosphere - The lighting is pretty average and the decor has a homely feel to it. The music playlist plays features your typical pop songs. Summary - Overall, it's a good cafe, although, has nice customer service and great food portions, except for the coffee as it comes in small cups. Would rate higher if it wasn't for the hygiene factor and small cups.

Coffee good. Asked for nachos- no sauce but didn't remove the specials board showing only that. We ordered a chicken and spinach wrap - ok only and a vegetable baguette as described by server. Turned out (after 25 minute wait) to have bacon in it. Replacement was cheese and tomato! By that time the place was shutting and (we were outside) we got just a paper box and paper cup for coffee replacing what had gone cold. Don't intend to return. All very expensive, too.

Bring your best friend or whomever you want to grab one of the best brunch bites in town and head over to docklands area. This place was so sweet and enjoyable. The eggs benedict was great and so was the coffee and fresh orange juice. There's limited tanks e space so be patient because it's worth it in taste. Also don't take a Lime bike or anything near the construction zone like I did as Uber won't let you park in the many sidewalks or parking areas available. This area is up and coming and Uber is just out of date. Get close and walk along the water for the rest. It's also totally walkable from Excel area of you are staying for an event.

I loved this cafe the first time I discovered it. Great, waterside location and simple but tasty sandwich options for lunch. So I was delighted to rediscover it last Sunday and introduce two veggie friends to what I thought of as an oasis in a rather dry and road-bound part of London. We arrived around 9 to find two croissants and most hot veggie options off the menu, altho with some reluctance the team reinstated Eggs Beni, which made me all the more suspicious that they simply couldn't be bothered with the other options. The lady at the till wasn't a native English speaker, so that may have hampered her explanations. And it was already a blazing hot day. But we ended up with nothing like what we had envisaged from the menu, and slow service too. The fresh juices were good, I should add and the little girl at the next table assured us that the chai lattes were great. But I left feeling really disappointed, and with the sense that the staff didn't much care.
