Old Spitalfields Market in Tower Hamlets

Took my parents here for dinner on a Friday night and it was fantastic. The rips and dips platter is essential because dips on there own are crazy. The service was attentive but our waiter did do the thing where he crouched down by the table which needs to end. Otherwise super enjoyable and the food was so tasty

Nice place to eat. Had lunch, good menu choice and reasonable prices for London.

A really lovely place to meet for dinner and a great setting to catch up with an old friend. The restaurant is beautiful and the atmosphere is relaxed, which was perfect after a busy day at work. A big thank you to Jessica who looked after us brilliantly throughout and ensured we had everything we needed. Would wholeheartedly recommend!

Went for a birthday dinner. Portions were very small for the price but this may be on us as we did not know it was a small plate restaurant. We ordered the halloumi, aubergine, lamb, prawn pasta, calamari, flatbread and more. Halloumi was interesting with sweet watermelon (?) sauce - quite enjoyable though it did illicit contrasting opinions. Aubergine and prawn pasta were amazing and we would definitely return to try it again. Calamari pieces were extremely small but tasty. Flatbread was tasty.

Went there yesterday , we had an amazing lunch, the food is literally so fresh, tasty and got original twists. All the staff were very friendly. Particularly Malena, which took good care of us all along the time we were here. Definitely recommend this place and will come back for sure

Dined in on a Wednesday afternoon for 2. We were greeted with a smile from Malena, seated swiftly in a vibrant rattan atmosphere. Orders were taken accordingly without the need for pressure. Our orders included Tatziki, Pitta bread, Babaganoush, Aubergine skewer, Harissa chicken and Baklava ice cream. All the dishes were served respectively. All dishes were flavourful, aromatic, presented vibrantly. I highly recommend getting the aubergine skewer. We wanted to try many more but were famished. Malena and the staff at Brother Marcus were friendly and accommodating to your needs. I couldn’t recommend more, definitely worth another visit. Thank you team! 💚

Went here for dinner on a weekday. It was medium busy, but despite that it felt very loud. The staff was quite inattentive and we had to try several times to get their attention for ordering and subsequently for the bill. We also waited for far too long for the food which was decent but far too greasy and definitely not worth the price or hype, at least for us. Overall, we won't be going back: mediocre service, mediocre food, very high prices for what it is.

Lovely & chick with delicious small plates, the service it’s amazing I think our waitress name was Jennifer or Jessica and she was excellent with very good recommendations.

Came on a weeknight on a group event and found the place almost full. The place looked nice at night with many lights and felt quite relaxing. Staff was also good and courteous. On the other hand I cannot recommend anything I ate. The beef tomato was really raw and not even a very good tomato, the pita dish had both bad pita bread and forgettable dips, aubergine skewer was hard to eat and again very forgettable. I somewhat liked trofie pasta and Harissa chicken but I would not go back again. Unfortunately everyone's favourite dish seemed to have been the chips. But don't get me wrong. I don't think chips with feta works as feta just falls right from the chips and there's too little to give much flavour. We all liked it since fries happened to be very fresh. Perhaps there are other food gems that this place offers but I feel like it's just in a decent location and looks decently nice. I tried enough dishes to tell that food is nothing special.

Could not fault this incredible restaurant at all. Food was 10/10 and the service was amazing. Malena was attentive and a very lovely host. Will be back!!

They got really nice brunch options including smoky shakshuka which is especially yummy.

Overall a good experience! The food was good for the most part - I especially enjoyed the fried aubergine skewer. The lamb kofta were a bit of a let down - overcooked and rubbery rough.

A lovely spot in Spitalfields. Came for a quiet catch up with a friend for after work dinner. Everything we had was lovely, great mix of different textures and flavours, really nice to try something new. Our server Victor was super friendly, giving us great advice on the menu and how to order. Great for catering to allergies too.

Delicious food and Soheil our waiter was fab!!

I took a group of 10 to the venue. The online booking tool was easy enough, and the team had the tables set up, ready for us upon arrival. Staff were attentive and friendly. The food was amazing. While we did over-order, the offering would have been plentiful all the same. It's not the cheapest offering in the area but great for a work group, friends, or a family gathering.

BEETROOT HOUMOUS & AVO (VG) 11.8 Smashed avocado with beetroot houmous & crispy chickpeas on sourdough toast The avocado and beetroot hummus works well on the crispy bread, and the crunchy peas have a great texture.

Solid spot for Middle Eastern fare, especially for a weeknight meal - the tzatziki, aubergine skewers, and sea bream are delicious. Good service and nice decor in Spitalfields market. Will be back!

Was on the hunt for a gluten free breakfast (coeliac) - dishes are clearly marked on the menu. The kefir fried chicken was delicious. Our waitress, Malena, really looked after us. Will definitely be returning!

You feel as if you're right in the middle of a busy green belt with lovely surroundings. Yes you can watch the world go by in the busy market but it's about the food. It's simple and tasty. Marcus is comfortable.

The Brother Marcus provides great food and a lovely Atmosphere in the middle of spitalfields Market. Our waitress Sophia was very nice and attentive.

I lunched at this fine establishment and it was absolutely wonderful. The fried chicken rosti was my favourite - a classic that does not fail to show up. I also had the fritters which was a smaller plate but delish nonetheless. A special shout out to Rafi for being a great server and levelling up this lunch for me.

The restaurant is very open and it was a nice vibe. Staff were very friendly, we were served by Dylan who gave us good recommendations for what to order on the menu, he also checked in with us regularly to make sure everything was okay. Malena has been a very nice girl and has helped us and recommended her best dishes on the menu, a delight, without a doubt we will repeat the eggplant with the spicy sauce.

I loved what we ordered, but my favorite was the halloumi cheese with watermelon jam 👌 the beet hummus with pita bread too, the pita bread was great. You are supposed to order 2 portions per person to share but the 2 of us ordered only one dish and one starter and it was enough, we weren't too hungry.

Compliments to the chef. Rafi was really helpful in choosing sides and main.
