Great Italian restaurant. Not too fancy but all the dishes look and tastes great. There’s a good selection of traditional Italian dishes. Also all the menu items are of terrific value. I can definitely see myself being a regular here if I lived in London.

The best meal we had in London! Highly recommend the Truffle Linguine Cacio e Pepe, Insalata di Finocchi, and Tartino for dessert. The Diavola (signature cocktail) was a highlight as well. Warm atmosphere, friendly staff, clean space. Can’t wait to come back.

Superb food. Had the Fregola di Mare and it was so delicious with fresh ingredients. Costolette D’agnello also very good. The place is also very cosy and well decorated. Staffs makes us feel like having a great time in a hospitable Italian home in Italy. Need to go back to try the other dishes!

A small cozy place but food is nothing to write home about. Ordered the rib-eye steak that was served somewhat cold (not even warm) – probably could not handle the seven people in a table and may have been sitting at the kitchen until all orders were ready. This is simply terrible. I live in the USA where even a regular diner there would do a better job with steaks – most of them would come sizzling at the time of serving. Disappointing!

I think this place is great. Very tasty and service was very attentive. Would recommend, don’t understand why it’s empty. I am a Londoner and go to restaurants a lot, including trendy places. Like the vibe and the food and will be back!

Excellent menu - just right choices

If I could give 6 stars I would. Everything about this dining experience was exceptional. From the service at the beginning, ensuring we were sat in a desired place. Then the ambience and music. Finally the food and drinks were just amazing. Perfect carbornara, ragu and cocktails, specifically espresso martini. Thank you so much for a special and memorable evening.

Cosy restaurant in the heart of London. The dining area is spread over several rooms, which makes it easy to chat while eating (not too noisy). The decor was attractive, the seats were comfortable, and everything was clean. It wasn’t the longest menu (other than drinks, at first I thought I had been given a drink menu, but after several pages I found the food!) However, every dish we chose was delicious. (And luckily I like coffee, as there were mainly coffee flavoured desserts.) The service was efficient and friendly enough (it’s London, so it’s never going to be as smiley as Italy). We weren’t in a hurry, and the staff didn’t rush us, which was nice. If you like good food, and want somewhere quiet for lunch, I recommend La Tagliata.

A fantastic Italian restaurant by Liverpool St Station. Second visit (once for dinner and now for lunch) and never failed to impress. The staff is very kind, knowledgable and helpful, the service was very smooth with a perfect timing between courses. The food is to die for, very well priced and comes with a substantial portions. Great selection of delicious wines too. Can’t wait to go back, highly recommended!

A hidden restaurant on the backstreet of the very busy neighborhood of Shoreditch, staff was very welcoming even though they were very busy around lunchtime. A lot of business diners but we were there for a friend's catch up. The food was delicious and fresh, very flavorful and filling. The burrata was delicious and so was their dessert.

Lovely little place with exceptional good food for reasonable prices. Good service as well.

Liked everything except I saw the woman angrily shout at the Asian man over something which I didn't like. I thought that was very aggressive the way she treated him. Other than that fine. A bit on the pricey side for what you get and they charged £5:00 for water and added the service charge instantly. Probably won't go again but nice enough to enjoy it as a random.

Good Italian restaurant in London Liverpool St area

Husband and I visited this lovely Italian restaurant last night. The food , service and atmosphere were all top class. It had a wonderful intimate feel to the place with unusual artwork on the walls and old books on the shelves. The service was impeccable and the food cooked to perfection. My bruschetta starter and swordfish main were both delicious and the chocolate fondant dessert was to die for. All presented beautifully. We will definitely dine there again.

Found this restaurant on Open Table and we loved everything about it! The service was great, the food was amazing. We got the spot by the window which was super cozy and lovely. The pear santal drink was a great recommendation from the waiter. Food didn’t take long, all tasted fresh. The tiramisu was delicious, same as the panacotta. I’d definitely visit again!

arrived at the restaurant and nobody gave us a menu for 10 minutes. appetisers we're great but the food took over an hour and when we got the food i choked on what looks like a BABY CRAB?? mussels have not been cleaned and found some brown stuff in the pasta. we were seated in a corner so nobody came to help at all during the meal. would not recommend anyone come here

Nice Italian restaurant. This little restaurant has a really nice atmosphere with friendly staff and decent food. The carbonara may have not been a traditional carbonara but was a very good pasta dish. The wine was also very good and the price over all was standard for location

Ok, but not anymore. The portions are not big. When my wife and I wanted to order antipasti + a primi and a secondi each, we were made to understand that this was far too much... when you hear something like that at an Italian restaurant, you know that you haven't really ended up at an original Italian restaurant. The food is more aimed at Brits. Even the small wine glasses are sad to look at for an Italian restaurant. The “Cacio et Pepe” I ordered had truffles in it… that might be ok for some, but it just doesn’t belong there. Anyone who has ever been to Italy, especially Rome, knows this. It was rather uncomfortable for us with the impression that we had to get the table we had previously reserved as quickly as possible. So we gave up wine and the evening we had planned for a cozy evening turned out to be more of a non-real Italian evening. We expected more and were rather disappointed with our last evening in London. The restaurant would have earned a lot more from us if they had let us order what we wanted instead of trying to get us out as quickly as possible.

This is a nice family run restaurant in a really busy business area. There are plenty of choices in the area, however it is hard to find one that is not run by a chain and only gives you 90 minutes for your table. I picked this place to catch up with my girlfriend and it was nice not to be rushed and you can relax and enjoy the Italian food and you don’t have to shout across the table to hear each other. Will be back again.

I had a dinner on Thursday at La Tagliata and really, everything was amazing! The atmosphere was so nice, the staff so kind and very attentive to little details. The food we had was delicious, start from the guazzetto and creamy burrata, going true the tasteful Tagliata di manzo and then the Porcini pasta, that was imperial! The tiramisu was as always something you can’t forget about. On top of my recommended place in London!

I came here as part of a medium sized group and although the food was rated ‘good’ by most of us, the smell of the restaurant was pretty bad and it sort of ruined the experience. There must be some sort of damp/drainage issue because half the restaurant smelled like a public bathroom.

Lovely cosy and intimate spot. Friendly and attentive waiter. Food was delicious, service was of a high standard and the atmosphere was nice. Delicious prawns starter. One of the best healthy salads I have had. The mix of artichokes and citrus was an absolute win.

Lovely small Italian restaurant tucked in the small streets of Liverpool Street. There’s a great selection of starters and pastas, I had the truffle cream and prosciutto bruschetta which was rich but not overpowering at the same time! The seafood pasta was delicious - the lobster bisque soup was amazing! The tiramisu was also amazing - it had good amounts of coffee taste to it!

Food is very good, but for the price not excellent. I understand the waiter was trying to close early, but it felt a bit much. No vegan mains.

A catch up with good friends. A wonderful restaurant. The layout is great with various areas meaning you aren't in a large dining room. Makes it cosier for chat without feeling as though people are listening. The staff were great. Professional, knowledgeable and didn't rush us to order. The food was ALL excellent although we couldn't decide whether the steak, lamb or swordfish was best! It's a bit on the pricier side but the quality of food and wine was top notch. Loved it. You feel transported away from the hustle and bustle of Liverpool St. Portions were slightly small but so good and full of flavour. The staff were friendly and personable. Once I entered the restaurant, it felt like I left all the noise and troubles outside as the atmosphere makes you feel at home. All I wanted was a plate of carbonara in front of me and a glass of white wine. But the waiter recommended zuppa di mare. It's divine... if I could eat that bisque with fresh bread for the rest of my life I'll be a happy man. Definitely a place to return and the carbonara will have to wait!

We recently visited "La Tagliata" for a bithday dinner party for my wife and her guests (7 people) and was pleasantly surprised by my experience. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly and seated promptly by the friendly hostess. As we perused the menu, we sipped on some delicious cocktails and indulged in the complimentary bread basket with a variety of dips and appetizers which where full off flavours. For our main courses, we ordered the classic Spaghetti Carbonara while I opted for the Seafood Linguine and the guests had Ribseye steaks, Sword fish dish and some salads. All dishes were cooked to perfection and the portions were just right, leaving us feeling satisfied but not too full. To top it off, we shared a slice of Tiramisu which was rich and creamy with just the right amount of sweetness. The ambiance of the restaurant is elegant and cozy, creating a perfect atmosphere for a romantic date night or a family dinner or a cosy birthday party. Overall, we had an exceptional dining experience at "La Tagliata" and I highly recommend it to anyone looking for delicious Italian cuisine and excellent service.

I booked on Open table only to find the restaurant shut for refurbishment. Surely I should have received notification? Probably not the restaurant's fault though?

Booked via Open table. Arrived at restaurant to find it closed for refurbishment. Manage to get attention from restauranteur. Explained I’d booked, he said Open table was rubbish ?!?! Tried to book alternative but Opentable would not let me. What a mess.

We turned up to the restaurant and there were workmen painting the restaurant- terrible. No communication it’s was closed. I even revived a confirm email 24hrs before. Extremely disappointing

Fancy atmosphere. Portions are small. Went with my girlfriend and got a table no problem. When we asked the waiter if there was a table with better lighting he shrugged and said "thats the restaurant". Not a lot to chose from. All mains cost around 20 - 30 £, which for the modest size is quite pricey. Medium sized bottle of water for 4£. You get charged extra for service.

Turned up to a rather strong smell of either sewers or toilets. Were not too sure which but wither way none of the staff advised us of the smell or issue. We did continue to dine but left as soon as we had finished due to the smell. Booking was for 1:15pm to which we arrived at 1:20pm. Ordered a drink whilst we chatted and at 1:40pm was advised that the kitchen closed at 1:50pm and so we were advised to hurry up and order. Not experienced that before for a restaurant in The City. Felt rushed to choose food and wine which was not the intention for a expected leisurely lunch. Overall - food was good but let down by the above and non plussed staff.

Great food, my tagliata was perfect

We visited this authentic Italian restaurant last Monday for a work team dinner. Consensus was the mains were fantastic although the deserts were average. So in totality we all enjoyed the experience
