A very good Argentinian restaurant. Excellent steaks and side dishes. There were six of us aged 15-85 and we really enjoyed it. Always happy to return...

A firm favourite. Simple and delicious. Won't please vegans, which pleases me. The Team there are friendly and familiar. I go regularly and it does exactly what is says on the tin.

Outstanding service and great food! Definitely love the place.

Rib eye steak was excellent but the rest of the food and experience was average at best. The starters called enchiladas were basically frozen pasties. The staff were really friendly but not attentive, we sat for ages with dirty starter plates on the table while they chatted.

Absolutely great from the start. The staff and service was absolutely exceptional. My partner and I had to leave suddenly due to a sudden issue. The staff was very caring and I regrettably had to miss the suprise birthday cake and candle which was waiting for her at the end. However i was shocked to find out they made the effort and had that prepared for her. The staff had given us takeaway packaging for the food we briefly ate. The food was very good. It travelled very well and tasted amazing. The steak was mouth wateringly delicious and as a person whom is not a black pudding eater. The black pudding was tasty. The waitress who we ordered from was very caring and recommended the empanadas for the starters which was an absolute must. Highly recommendable restaurant and will be going back to properly to ensure we have a complete experience with Bife. Although we had a short and sharp one it has left a very great impression and a sad regret we had to go suddenly. Thank you Bife for you care and understanding last night. And your food is absolutely amazing.

The starter was outstanding - highly recommend the bone marrow and small breads and Stilton butter. The main was average - just steak and chips and about the same as anywhere Service was perfect- no long waits. The restaurant praps a tad hot - could do with a bit more air in there. But overall was good

The team was very kind, always checking on us. They even help us celebrate our moment! The food was delicious and big portions, which we couldn’t finish. This is a place to go and repeat.

Fantastic food, lovely service from all who served us

I was in London for a few days with my daughter for her birthday. I had booked a guided tour in the evening and I spent a fair amount of time researching the restaurants in the area, so we could eat before we went on the tour. I chose Bife as it was near the meeting point for the tour and I liked the look of the menu. My booking was early at 5:15, although we were running late, so I rang the restaurant to see if I could move our booking and explained that we would only have around 45 minutes to eat, before we had to leave for a guided tour. The person I spoke to was really helpful and moved the booking with no problems at all. When we got there we were greeted warmly and given a lovely table by the window. The service was impeccable, the staff were efficient, welcoming and really lovely people. They couldn’t do enough for us and made sure everything was turned round really quickly so that we could eat and get to our tour on time. Amazingly we managed to squeeze 3 courses into our 45 minutes and the food was outstanding! We loved everything we ordered i.e.: Bread basket, filet steak, Crème Caramel and Lemon Pie. I have to say that the filet steak was one of the best I’ve ever had and cooked to perfection. The puddings were also fantastic and there was a really good selection to choose from. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly with plenty of space between tables. The restaurant was a fair size, but had an intimate, family run feel to it, which isn’t always easy to achieve in London. We really enjoyed our brief, but enjoyable visit to this gem of a restaurant. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it, especially if you know a thing or two about quality steak!

I love this place. Staff greet you like old buddies with a roaring hola, the steak is amongst the best in London, wine list very good and fairly priced and overall the atmosphere and the value here is just so right. Genuinely love coming here and also introducing new friends to this hidden gem in Liverpool Street!

The spot is a must. the steak was delicious and of course the chips! We liked it so much we had to return twice. It also must be said that the ownership and the people that work here are delightful.

Very warm welcome great service we loved the steak chips were sooo good I’m Only taking a point off due to I didn’t like where they sat us I felt it was the worst table in the place but in fairness it was meant to be a table for 2 but 3 of us turned up so it might have been a different table if only 2 of us turned up Would recommend for those that love a steak

Fantastic! From the moment we walked in, the service was 1st class. The food is excellent, and fairly priced. There is nice, relaxed atmosphere in the restaurant, and the staff all seem to be very happy and attentive. Have been twice now, and will certainly return again. Highly recommended!

As always the food was of high quality, the empanadas especially were incredibly tasty. Steaks were well cooked and tasty also. House red wine was excellent value for money.

Another amazing evening @ Bife. Great food and cocktails. We had the grill - excellent, a short rib steak, povalone cheese with amazing herb bread and to end some of Chef Leo's award winning media lunas. Great team, very friendly and excellent beef. Really worth taking the tube out to Aldgate. We'll be back!

Hola! Un par de cosas para considerar chicos: Eramos 6, en la mesa había 1 vegetariano. Al consultar si había alguna otra opción vegetariana ademas de las empanadas, el mozo nos contesto "no se si se dieron cuenta que el nombre del local es Bife, casi no vienen vegetarianos a comer acá" , la verdad nos pareció de cuarta la respuesta, somos clientes hace un tiempo, y a pesar de tener amigos vegetarianos, seguimos yendo a comer ahí, porque hay vegetarianos que no les importa el nombre del lugar ni que sea principalmente carne lo que venden. Por otro lado, nos sirvieron unas costillas que eran una hoja de papel de lo finas que estaban, por favor revisen que esta pasando ahi porque es el gran dilema de esta ciudad, comer BIEN y Abundante, y ahora parece que han cambiado el tamaño de ese corte. Literal eran transparentes. Por ultimo, no a todas las personas les gusta que al salir les den besos y abrazos. En nuestro caso éramos un grupo de diferentes nacionalidades, y al salir lo primero que cuestionaron fue esto. Yo se que a los Argentinos no nos cae mal esto, pero consideren medir un poco el tema contacto físico. Gracias y espero tomen esto de buenas maneras. Saludos,

First time visiting Bife and I was impressed. Service was great and very friendly. The food was well cooked and flavoursome. Overall I’d certainly recommend and is a better experience than some of the more well known City steak places.

We had the Beef steak grill box for 4. Fantastic selection of meat cooked perfectly on a table grill and comes with sides. Great atmosphere in a good location not far from Spitalfields market. Highly recommend.

Love this place!! Food is great but the people are even better

Our party of three came here for a business lunch on a Friday. It was very quiet, with only a couple of other tables booked. We went for the Bife box for three, which was excellent. All the cuts of beef were really nice, and beautifully cooked, and there was a lot of food - plenty for the three of us. With the meat and a couple of sides to share, it was more than enough, so no need for starters. I wouldn't hesitate to come back.

The only recommendation I would make is to also ask for plain butter. The seasoned butter they give with the bread tray is very overpowering to the bread. It would be far better with the chimichurri and plain butter. Caution the sirloin is served on a super hot skillet so it will continue to cool after being served so order down a temp from where you want it. Otherwise all was really good.

Very warm welcome from all the staff we encountered. Very cosy restaurant. Food was fantastic. We had the sirloin and the ribeye. Both cooked to perfection, and the chimchurri on the side was delicious. Overall, very good steakhouse, and excellent value for money.

If you like perfectly cooked juicy steaks, served by lovely, polite, genuinely friendly staff, go there. If you like to receive birthday hugs and happy birthday songs on your birthday, it's a perfect place for you. Thank you very much again to all the Bife staff who made our evening very special.

As always, excellent food and very friendly service. Restaurant was very busy and this time we did feel as if we were being rushed to finish. The bill was bought to the table even though we hadn't asked for it and had only been seated for an hour.

If you want the proper Argentinian experience, this is where you should go! Fantastic meat, perfect cooking and seasoning. I felt exactly the same as when I went to Argentina on a trip. Lovely staff!

Absolutely loved dining here. Staff were friendly and attentive even providing Prosecco as we were celebrating. Empanadas were delicious to start. We both had fillet steak - medium and medium well- both were cooked perfectly. A great experience and I hope to return in the future.

Grill Box for 2 was probably enough for 3 reasonable portions, good value though, very tasty and loved how it came on hot coals! Drinks ar a little bit pricey. Cheapest bottle of red was £33.

Good quality steak. Had the grill box so could cook the meat how we liked it. Wine was good too. Menu on this site is very out of date though, prices are much higher in the restaurant. Could do with more side dish options really, more veg to help the beef go down!

Lovely evening, excellent food and attentive staff. My colleagues and I left feeling well fed and well looked after.

Had MR ribeye with some sides and Merlot. All excellent, as was the service with lovely friendly staff and a super atmosphere. Definitely recommend and will return.

Food was great, especially the empanadas! Ambience was nice too. My only suggestion would be to ask people how would they like the meat cooked. Mine was very rare and the waitress did not ask when taking the order so I had to send it back.

Great service, cocktails and of course steak. The empanadas were exceptional and the morcilla was the best I’ve had outside of Spain.
