The best restaurants in Kew Richmond upon Thames London

Quite simply the best Indian takeaway I’ve ever experienced. Consistently incredible and amazing value! Couldn’t recommend this restaurant enough!

Beautiful building and surroundings. Tried to eat sausage roll and spinach roll. Both cold, stodgy and tasteless , with 2 coffees which were very average. £21 later..... Disappointing doesn't begin to explain our feelings 😕. Such a shame as a member of Kew Gardens we've never before felt the need to complain. Must be a captive market and no reason to push the boat out!

Es una de las mejores panaderías. Nos gusta el twist de queso, el croissant de almendras y los bocadillos. Están todos recién hechos. También hay espacio para sentarse dentro. Sin embargo, puede ser difícil encontrar lugar durante los fines de semana. El personal también es agradable

The worst experience of my life! They didn't allow me to eat alone in the restaurant and my friends outside! Worst experience in England.

I really like the cafe in the morning, they serve a good coffee and always fresh pastries/croissant etc. Plenty of other things such as sausages etc are available. Clean space with friendly staff. Plenty of seatings around. Good and accessible WCs. Free water fill machine.

We had a great experience at the Pizza Express in Kew. Our waiter, Arsh, was amazing the whole night and very helpful and timely with our orders and questions. The food was really good. The dough balls and halloumi were great appetizers and we shared four pizzas between four people which were all really good. The pizzas were light so it didn’t feel like too much. Thank you Arsh and pizza express

Amazing afternoon tea at the Bontanical Brasserie, the restaurant manager went over and above to celebrate my mom's birthday. Food & drinks were delicious, service amazing!

Another wonderful experience!! This pub never disappoints. My partner and I love to explore different spots but when we are out and about in London, I always want to go back to this spot. Service was a little bit dilated but the staff kept us updated all the way through and even offered a complimentary coffee while we waited! It was well worth the wait too! So look forward to next visit!! As a side note, the manager was ever so friendly and polite!

Solía venir aquí regularmente, pero no he estado en varios años. Generalmente vamos a otro lugar, pero estábamos con amigos, así que la ubicación cerca del tubo era conveniente. El lugar no ha cambiado en décadas. El propietario sigue siendo el mismo por lo que puedo ver. Tomamos pastel y té. La calidad es alta y el pastel, especialmente el pastel de chocolate era una rodaja enorme, pero es y siempre fue bastante caro.

Needed to kill some time, so popped in here for coffees. Also had a bacon roll which was OK, rescued by the addition of Heinz tomato sauce. Nearly £10 for 2 drinks and a bacon roll, so not good value. However there was so much litter on the floor, and no one was clearing away cups from the few tables to sit at. I asked a member of staff for a cloth to wipe the table, but she did not get the hint about the place being a pig sty. The customer toilets (in Sainsbury's) were disgusting. Urinals blocked and out of use. No soap. My wife said that the women's toilets were equally bad, and she would not use it. It's times like this that you appreciate McDonald's.

Me quedé bien frío caminando por Kew Gardens y luego entré en el Orangery para tomar una taza de té y ver si había algún buen pastel. El lugar era totalmente caótico. Mi acompañante con discapacidad visual trató de encontrar un asistente para ayudar a conseguir lo que estábamos buscando. Con el tiempo lo conseguí. El personal, como había, parecía ajeno a nuestras quejas. Supongo que los han escuchado tan a menudo. Luego la larga cola con una bandeja pesada esperando para pagar. No otra vez. La próxima vez que visitemos los jardines, llevaremos un frasco de té y un paquete de galletas.

I stopped here for lunch and ther service is abysmal. They have two staff taking orders and making drinks (very very slowly) there is no table ordering service so you have to join a long queue to order. One of the staff did not even know how to open a bottle opener. On a positive it gave us time to see the quality of food that was coming out and is nowehere near the value for the prices they were charging so decided to give the food a miss. I settled for two coffees after a 25 minute wait. This place does not know what it wants to be, a bistro or a restaurant it is not. If you want good value proper (non snack) food avoid this place and go to one of the many pubs in Kew.

Para algún lugar como Kew te gustaría pensar que su restaurante serviría buena comida fresca y un ambiente limpio. Este no fue el caso cuando visitamos por primera vez el pasado sábado 15 de febrero de 2025. La comida era seca y sin sabor y las bebidas eran las mismas y dejaban fuera la leche y otros trozos. Lo más molesto es que después de sentarnos notamos palomas volando por encima de donde se almacena la comida descubierta. Esto era tan antihigiénico y totalmente inaceptable. Vamos chicos que cobran lo suficiente hacen de este un lugar para llevar a casa buenos recuerdos.

Pedí café con leche y llegó demasiado caliente y olía a quemado. Él lo rehízo y la temperatura era la correcta. Sin embargo, sabía asqueroso. No sé qué lo estaba causando pero una cosa que sí sé es que no volveré a ir a ningún Starbucks. Hazlo mejor.

We order takeaway via Just Eat and the food is always consistently good for a western palate. Special fried rice, crispy shredded beef, crispy duck pancakes, prawn chow mein. Excellent and tasty. Very surprised at some of the other reviews as we found this one of the tastiest Chinese takeaways in this part of London.
