The best restaurants in East of England

Nice, welcoming place. Had a flapjack and coffee so didn't really sample the menu but both of these were good. A great place to get out of the elements too after a beach walk. Definitely worth a visit.

I personally would have given a 3 out of 10 if we didn’t have Rachel the waitress we had. I would usually always rate Katana 5/5 but this is the first time we’ve done a bottomless brunch and never know anything so regimented. 2 different servers asked us for our drinks order about 10 mins apart and when they realised we had 2 drinks each on our table all hell broke loose. 3 different servers came to our table to tell us we wouldn’t be allowed anymore drinks until we have finished these drinks. They seemed quite worried and scared like they were in trouble 🤷🏼‍♀️ Rachel was amazing though, she was bubbly and interactive with us. She went above and beyond to chase up our drinks after waiting 20 mins in a bottomless brunch with no drink and no one coming to check if we needed one. Just felt very much like katana couldn’t afford for us to actually drink bottomless so we’re keeping tabs. Didn’t feel relaxing like I was expecting. Hopefully next time will be better

Best food and beer. Service with a smile and very helpful staff. A shining example of a community asset/pub. Highly recommended please support this asset.

This was our first visit to The Ufford Crown. We had a fabulous midweek lunch. The food was great. Huge chicken caesar salad, pork belly and mash with divine crackling, Nduja linguine. Excellent service. Friendly staff. We will be back.

Not easy to get a table on Saturday evening and no wonder - I tasted the freshest mussels in my lifetime.

Went out for dinner and had a lovely experience

Our visit to Marmalade went way and beyond our expectations. The food was delicious, and we wished that we had made room for one of the desserts as they all looked lovely. Ashlea and May were extremely welcoming and professional, and it was nice to meet Ian at the end of our evening. Would definitely recommend making a reservation, as this is a small but popular restaurant. If we were to visit Sheringham again, we would definitely make another booking.

Gorgeous pub that served pull pump bitter and cider.We arrived and was greeted by a young lady that helped with our bags to a courtyard room. The room was great and had a shower with underfloor heating.They arranged a taxi as we went to Chelmsford Races which cost £15 and was 6mins away. Lovely breakfast and we will be back.

Authentic Thai food. Obviously, 1st tasted in Thailand, then a preferred Thai restaurant in Estepona, Spain, now in Bedford Rice Thai keep up the good work.

Meal of my life! I am lucky to have had many good meals in my life, however on Saturday night I had the best meal ever at La Romantica. Words simply cannot sum up my experience. It is like being dropped into Italy with such a warm welcoming but busy restaurant. We was greeted with a special board which made my eyes light up! The lobster and prawn tagliatelle is without a shadow of a doubt the best thing I have ever eaten, this was complimented with hands down the best garlic bread topped with tomato and chilli which somehow meet the obscenely high standards of the pasta. Overall this was an absolutely phenomenal meal. Simply the best, I cannot wait to go back!

Probably the most welcoming and friendliest pub I have ever been. Dog friendly and I mean super dog friendly, our pup had extra treats and welcome sausage!! She definitely steal the show. Burger and fish was delicious, atmosphere, staff both brilliant!

Stopped off for a bite to eat had bacon buttie nice thick bread and a good portion of bacon staff were welcoming and helpful
