Found this cafe on Google maps, we needed a cafe with an early start for our journey home to Cheshire and this was just right,
Great service, great staff, great food at a great price and the toilet was clean.
Can highly recommend J and J's any time of the day.
Awesome place. A good choice of ice cream but not so overwhelming to make it difficult to decide. Nice cakes (not too much in the way of gluten free options if you need that) and some decent looking savoury food. Turkish delight milkshake is fantastic.
As usual Gibsons staff were very friendly and efficient, the restaurant clean and welcoming.
Tapas night, which proved a little disapointing, the dishes we chose were well cooked and presented(as usual with Gibsons) however the food did lack a little flavour, most was , i don't like to say it but "bland" a pity because our previous experiences at Gibsons have been excellent food wise. Sorry for a negative review.
Arrived at 13.50 to eat, site states food up until 2pm, menus still on the tables. Owner ? manager (with no business sense at all) refused to serve us as he had a ‘backlog’ in the kitchen and was rude to myself and my husband. There is a way to talk to customers and it is not that way. We would have spent at least £50 and would have been prepared to wait for the food 🤷♀️ disappointing.
Yesterday was a game of 2 half’s. We set out early to go and watch the last game of the season at Mansfield Town as we are season ticket holders, but a broken down car on the M1 made the journey time mean that we would not be making the game. We made the tough decision to turn around and head home. We went for a walk with the dog instead and decided on a few pints while watching the game on the phone at The Riffle. The amazing bar man saw what we were doing and then offered to put the game on the big screen for us. I couldn’t believe our luck. What a superstar. We then watched the whole game and by the time the game had finished, the pub was packed with a great atmosphere. I can’t thank you enough. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🥰
disappointed. it’s not bad, but i won’t call it korean fried chicken. just a fried chicken. authentic korean fried chicken is different and tasted different.
We attended on Xmas Eve. There were 9 of us and we had booked a table in advance. Upon entry it was clear they were not prepared for us as no table was set. After staff pushed three tables together and hurriedly fetched some napkins we were able to sit.
This restaurant does not have an alcohol licence so you bring your own alcoholic drinks.
Popadoms to begin and then straight to mains. We waited over an hour for our mains. When they arrived the food was good quality, tasty, hot and nice.
When it came to the bill my party was paying with cash and card.
A staff member came over and my wife asked for the card machine. He huffed, rolled his eyes and plodded off to get the machine. We had obviously inconvenienced him.
Overall it was a nice meal which took a bit too long to serve and the staffs customer service left a lot to be desired. Sadly, although I enjoyed the food, I will not be returning again due to the staff rudeness and the delay in receiving our food. Those two issues spoiled an otherwise enjoyable night.
Without a doubt the best breakfast “experience” around.
From the moment we walked in to the minute we left, we had the best time ever.
Excellent service from the hostess with the mostess, you know who you are!
Went for the large breakfast and the wife had the smashed avocado. Both plates finished off and could not fault it.
Will be coming back again for the wet T-shirt competition!!!
Just had dinner here tonight. Food was good quality and very tasty and portions were large too. We could easily have shared a main. Very good service too and reasonably priced. If we didn’t live 3+ hours away we would definitely return. Thank you
