I'm sorry to say but this sushi was as bad as supermarket sushi, not to takeout standards at all, the rice was gooey and flavourless a real waste of money.

Stumbled upon this restaurant during one of our night strolls in Peterborough square and I’m so glad we tried it out!!! We now have a go-to place for japanese and korean food cravings! 🍱🍣🥢 We ordered the sushi/sashimi set and siomai! Indeed, everything was freshly made 👌🏼 The siomai is made with real shrimp. The Kokoro deluxe set was equally good - platter of sashimi, wakame salad and sushi made with fresh ingredients. Prices are reasonable especially that it’s in a prime location. The owners and servers embody genuine Asian hospitality ✨ thank you! Already looking forward on our next visit! 🫶🏼

This Korean restaurant is excellent. The staff were charming and highly attentive, and the food was very satisfying. Their beverages were impeccable, and they offered a wide variety of side dishes. The seating was adequate, although somewhat limited. Overall, it was an exceptional experience. I highly recommend this establishment.

We’ve had lunch on Saturday and it was not busy. We were able to sit by the window and watch world go by whilst eating our tasty meals. I’ve really enjoyed Teriyaki salmon with noddles. It was tasty , juicy and together with noddles, the medium size bowl was very filling. My companion had sweet chilli chicken, which I was told was also very nice. The staff was very attentive and the place was clean and welcoming. Two bowls of food with two cans of drinks cost us £21, which I thought was OK for an enjoyable decent lunch for two. I will go back.

Very accessible! We had a very pleasant meal with amazing food and excellent service. I am a disabled individual and have an assistance dog that detects my heart condition, the staff were extremely kind towards her, a lovely gentleman brought her water without me asking and checked that our meal was all good and if we needed anything halfway through. The restaurant was spotless and clean, service was very quick and food was hot and a good portion too. I don’t normally make reviews but this visit in particular has been one of my best expediences at a restaurant as someone disabled. Thank you very much.

Everytime I get food from here it's great and taste really good but today I got salmon nigiri and they tasted funny and smells like the salmon has gone bad

I go to every Kokoro religiously when I travel as it's one of my favourite place to go to get my favourite meal. This is the first place EVER where the portion is smaller then every other Kokoro that I have been to. I would get a medium size everywhere else and I will be full, here I got the medium and was not full so I gave this place another chance and got a large and I still wasn't full. So I won't be returning. The service here is speedy. The atmosphere was simple and very clean.

Really not the restaurants fault, we've placed many orders and the foods great. The deliver provider - Deliveroo, are sh1t. You will receive no more orders from us because of the delivery service. Constantly let down. The more restaurants get complaints the less likely they are to use this circus of clowns.

I absolutely love ordering from here, they do the best Katsu Curry, my girlfriend loves the Salmon Teriyaki. When eating in the staff are always helpful and friendly. Both when eating in and when ordering if there is an issue they're always very quick to resolve it. Kokoro Peterborough is absolutely great.

Apsolutly amazing! The food is ready good, the service is second to none. They have food for all dietary requirements including vegetarian and halal food. Overall, iust the best.

The food was lovely and filling, making the price very reasonable. The sides are well priced and make a great addition. A little cramped, perhaps one less table in the centre and the drinks are a little pricey. The staff are polite and friendly, they work quick and make delicious food. The decorations are nice, not overstated. Overall I had a wonderful meal and time

The food is amazing. I ordered a large chicken katsu curry and I was so full I couldn't quite finish it, and this is for dinner. The staff are lovely and they have a good range of food. I definitely want to come again. I have mobility issues and as it is in the square it's accessible by wheelchair. Both doors open so can be any sized wheelchair. My relative had the cold sushi love set and cold green tea. The tea is such a lovely finish to the meal. You can take away or eat in. We ate in and it was nice to sit at the window and eat.

The best noodles, great kick from the chillies, my only negative was tofu was bit mushy , would have been perfect if more texture and firmer but just my preference 💚

Got served raw chicken made me ill for days

Was given a taster, went back for lunch. The gentleman remembered me, took the trouble to check I was happy - yes I was! Will definitely return next time in Peterborough. Personal service makes all the difference....

I was unsure on what to order, it all smelt and looked really good. The owner helped me decide. Honestly the noodles and spicy chicken was gorgeous. All fresh ingredients and you can tell that the cook has taken pride in the food provided. I had a medium pot and it filled me up for the rest of the day. Highly recommend.

I wanted to try out the food here for a while and I was really pleased I did!! I ordered it from deliveroo and arrived in just under 30 minutes. I ordered a "mix and match" (beef bulgogi + chicken teriyaki + rice). It tasted amazing!! One of the best takeaways I've had!! It was full of flavour. It didn't have any chilli so I would definitely 100% recommend this combination if you are not great with chilli. I was worried that the "mix and match" pot would be too small, so I also ordered the salmon nigiri and a custard dorayaki. But to be honest, the size of the pot was much much bigger than I imagined. It's really great value for money!! So I had about half leftover in the pot and was quite full (but I had to finish it off because it was way too yummy). Can't wait to order from here again!!

I give real reviews, with pictures of the food without any filters or prep. Unfortunately Kokoro has let me down for the 2nd time. I've had the same experience two times in a row. I hope the owners read this to improve their business. The first time only 1 out of 3 of the meals I ordered were fresh. I learned from this experience and today I asked them politely if they could make all my meals fresh. They refused to make the sweet chilli chicken fresh as they had just made one 30 minutes ago they claimed. They did however make the sweet sour chicken fresh for me. However, when I went home and tasted the fresh one, it wasn't cooked properly and the sauce was grainy and the chicken was mushy. The sweet chilli chicken which wasn't cooked fresh however it was cooked to a nice quality, even though I could taste that it was definitely older than 30 minutes. More bad news; they forgot to heat the noodles in the microwave, the noodles were stone cold and the chicken was luke warm. Any person can taste the difference between old food Vs a freshly made meal. If you enjoy not fresh food for restaurant prices then you'll love this place. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because the flavouring of the sauces is good, if only they cooked fresh food like the 1 out of 3 first meals I had from here, it would be an outstanding 5 stars and the place would be very busy. If you have a reputation for fresh reliable food, you will get a constant stream of happy customers. Service is fine but a little clumsy, forgot to microwave the noodles. I don't think they understood that I was prepared to pay more for fresh food. If I ever go back, I will try to explain this point again. The atmosphere is good, when it's not busy it's possible to sit in and eat there.

Got delivery and got something from the shop in cathedral square today, normally have no problems but got back home ate with my partner and we felt sick after and bad stomachs the tuna nigiri looked pale in colour and didn’t look the same as always so I’m assuming it was bad either they brought it bad or they left it overtime which causes more bacteria that the human body can’t handle as it’s raw, probably won’t get again unfortunately as I’ve always had good food from there but now it’s not for me🫤

I went for the chicken katsu curry which was alright, the chicken was over cooked though which made it a little tough. The sauce and rice was really nice though. They guy behind the counter gave us a little sample whilst we were eating. The portion sizes are good but I would still say it’s slightly over priced. Oh and they were pretty stingy with the sauce.

To be honest it was not as good as I was hoping. I would not go back. I am sure many people enjoy it.

Had high hopes everything looks really good & fresh. I tried the hot food a few weeks ago, noodles with katsu chicken & hot & spicy chicken. The chicken was gristly, stringy & chewy & the noodles were mushy & didn't have any taste. Today I took a sushi box because I love sushi & the boxes do look very well presented. I took the deluxe sushi set, it was soooo bland & tasteless, super disappointed. Tasted like the sort of sushi you'd buy at a supermarket. For £9.95 a box I had good expectations. The fish was literally tasteless, I could taste the avacado more than the fish & tbh didn't taste very fresh either. I'm surprised by all the raving reviews. Too expensive for bad tasting food. Shame as I had high hopes.

the food the vibe and the price were proper gucci. the food was delicious and filling, the place itself gave off a cozy vibe so it felt really comfortable dining in. its really affordable aswell defenitely isnt over priced. had a great experience will deffo go again.

So in a nutshell it’s an improved version of chopsticks restaurant. Food was really good, tasty, hot and very well seasoned. I could tell it’s freshly made. I did get noodles even though I have ordered rice but I didn’t ask them to change it as the food would just end up in a bin and I’m not about to waste food ahah. We’ve paid £22 ish for two large boxes and two drinks. It might look pricey, however, they pack the boxes to the very top and for us it was lunch and dinner. Staff were very friendly. You can tell that the restaurant is fairly new as some staff looked a little lost but big smiles and apologies made it all good. I did not try sushi, however, the choice and options looked pretty good. It is a little pricey but that’s what you would expect when ordering sushi haha. It’s not the place to go and sit down at, as they don’t have many seats and the place gets very crowded so you might want to have it as take away. Overall, good experience and tasty food. 🙌

Excellent choice of food from Japan and Asia. From lucious hot food to Sushi, it's lovely. I had a lovely experience with the staff and the restaurant was very clean and modern. I chose Sweet and Sour pork with noodles. It was a large one (small, medium and large tubs are available). I have an allergy to chilli, so stated this before I ordered. Choose a main item with rice or noodles. I also had 3 breaded prawn sticks and a drink. It was well worth the price I paid of £14+ because the food was hot and plenty of it. Also I have enough left for another meal as I took it home. Cutlery and chop sticks are available. On the whole I highly recommend a visit to KOKORO if you wish to try something really tasty and want to try something from the orient. The Sushi is in a fridge and is boxed. Customer service was excellent & attention to the customer needs is great too. Accessibly for the disabled is great too. No toilets on site though. (😀😀😀)

Had a lovely lunch with my partner and baby in tow at the new place in Peterborough centre Kokoro. Went in and had a lovely welcome by I think the lady owner. She explained the food to us and we even got to have a try before we decided what to have. We ended up having the same as each other and my three month old baby boy couldn't stop staring at the food!!! Can highly recommend both for the food and the atmosphere and service. Clean and tidy. Chefs kiss 💋

Was going to stop for lunch but wasn't sure if my mother in law would enjoy it, but the staff was so lovely and the food looked amazing, ended up going back to pick some sushi up for dinner and the staff remembered us and again, still so lovely. We don't have a lot of decent sushi places near here, and honestly both me and my husband thought it was the best sushi we have had in a long time. Great prices for the food too, you could easily pay more in a supermarket for something subpar. Highly recommended Kokoro!

The food tasted amazing, and the shop looked fresh and clean. Due to the size of the shop their is no real atmosphere or buzz around the place but if you are a noodle fan I'd definitely give it ago.

The food was really nice - hot and tasted fresh (I got the chicken Katsu and sweet chilli chicken). However it is a bit pricy for me… it was about £9 (?) for two sides and a base of rice or noodles. Having said that, the serving size was generous and it was a nice armosphere to sit and eat in

I've ordered from Kokoro about 6 times since stumbling across it on Deliveroo. The katsu chicken curry is absolutely incredible. The flavour and quantity is amazing. It's the best katsu curry I've had since moving to the UK. The sweet chili chicken is also amazing. I highly recommend the Dorayaki and cheesecake, as they are so delicious. My partner also loved the sushi. The meal deals are fantastic. I highly recommend Kokoro if you're looking for great food that will fill you up.
