The best restaurants in Welwyn Hatfield East of England

An underwhelming experience, staff not particularly friendly, certainly need some guidance on customer service and making of their signature drinks Won't return

So where do I start, Pizza Hut has never been my first choice when it comes to ordering in Pizza over the years. However, a year ago and gave it a go and have come back on many many occasions since. The food is cooked really well and very tasty. Whether it is collected or delivery, the service is speedy and friendly. I cannot recommend this branch high enough and is my Pizza location of choice.

Found The Meating Room by chance, looking for somewhere which wasn’t a chain restaurant. When we arrived we were really warmly welcomed by staff (and the regulars!), and while the dining area was set up for a party it was explained that we could sit in the bar area which was fine with us. The promotional photos of the food on Google promised trendy-looking handcrafted burgers in the style of somewhere like Craft & Cleaver, and while they didn’t arrive in enamel dishes, the burgers, fries and chicken wings were all far superior to your standard pub fare and very reasonably priced. The children’s menu offered a choice of burgers or chicken nuggets, and our little boy was also offered colouring pencils which was a nice touch. All in all a very pleasant experience.

I thought it was a little bit on the expensive side … Being local when I ordered , I would have thought Delivery cost should have been free ! When you add things up , way too expensive…. Money and cost in the cost of living crisis we are all experiencing, you have to way things up , Staff are friendly which is a plus , £18 for a small pizza plus delivery charge , was expensive.. Thank you .

Really nice hotel. Room was excellent, everything you need has been thought about and provided. Pub has a nice atmosphere and the food is good, breakfast was excellent. All of the staff were friendly and helpful. Really couldn’t ask for any more

It’s a very rare find for us since we were so in need of Chinese food towards the end of our UK road trip. The food is nice especially the Chinese mutton kebab 羊肉串！！ loved it so much, regretted not getting more of those 😭😭

The food was lovely as usual but the staff were very busy and we are missing a piece of chicken and popcorn chicken which is for my son's birthday but maybe we can be looked after next time

Food was very good. Only one hiccup I was given plain butter with my dough balls instead of garlic butter! The service was good and the staff friendly. Would visit again.

The venue is lovely. The staff very friendly. The food was very tasty but unfortunately could have been hotter.
