Lovely food for a good price,my pint of stella tasted a bit tangy,stick to bottled beer if I was you.

Food was ok, did not have many spicy food (which is my preference) also the taste of the food was not average

Absolutely horrendous. Sugar in every dish. Tasteless food which was luke warm. Food poisoning waiting to happen. Tried to speak with manager about it but told they don’t have one.

Where do I start if there was a 0 scoring that's what they would get, the food was awful tryed some chicken curry, prawns and a few other things was cold some over cooked and some under cooked, the staff hover around you while trying to eat, on my return home myself and my partner started vomiting.never again we hope people read the reviews before going absolutely disgusting.

A great variety of food available

Food was 'ok'. My problem was with the 'desert' if you could call it that! Some basic ice cream, slices of orange (?) or some kids 'penny sweets' ie, foam bananas and shrimps, mini marshmallows or jelly beans!! No cakes, brownies,cheesecake, nothing!!! Asked a member of staff, he said you have to come back at the weekend for desert selection!!! No thanks buddy, won't be back, ever!!

I haven't been here for a few years. It was clean, tidy and fresh. The staff were friendly and I was pleasantly suprised with the food. I would come back again.

Cost varies on the tiem you go. 11-3pm is 9.50 for an adult and about 5 pounds for kids. Then 5pm about 17 pounds for adults. Varieties of food available. Ice cream too. Meals are very hot. They also have kids varations. Their chicken nuggets are amazing. Ice cream on cone or cup and jelly beans. Their Oranges are amazing too

Staff lovely, especially the guy who greeted us. Felt at ease, in a place we've never been. Food was all 10/10. Gutted we live so far away 😢

If you’re absolutely hungover, this place will feel like a mirage in the dessert. If you want to go for a nice meal…. Please, go somewhere else! At the end of the day, it’s a Chinese buffet in the Galleria so Im not sure why I was expecting anything more than a 1/10 but there we go. The only good thing about this place is the service, the prawn crackers and the cucumber. Don’t bother!

Good value for a midweek buffet lunch. The dessert sweets and the Ice cream were good. Did not like having to pay before eating the food, very extraordinary. Some items not refreshed after 14:30 despite closing at 15:30

Very good and plentiful Chinese buffet

Ok so after checking out a lot of mixed reviews about the real China here's my opinion on Saturday evening buffet. Walked into a busy restaurant got seen quickly and seated. Grabbed a plate and started collecting. After a my first plate my opinion the food was above good. Few choices needed a touch of flavour adding to it, Noodles, sweet and sour and a pork choice of which I can't remember the name of it but overall we were satisfied. Staff very friendly, service was good and food was 4 *.

The food was of a high quality and reasonably priced. The only very minor comment is that the plates were cold. This is not the first time we had visited the restaurant and will not be the last. The food was hot and well stocked.

For a Chinese restaurant, the rice and the vermicelli were extremely disappointing. The vermicelli was very dry and had a peculiar taste. The only thing I enjoy were the ribs. They are the best I have tasted.

Friendly staff. Food was bland. There was no real flavours and did not taste how Chinese does. Not overly impressed. Not bad but not good. Would not rush back but I would try another branch.

Firstly, their customer service is top-notch. Secondly, they have a variety of food you can choose from which comes in affordably. Thirdly, you can either take out anything you like in just a mini take out container for £6.5 or eat in and eat whatever you like and go as many rounds as you can for just £12. So cool 😎.

The atmosphere here is good, however on this occasion the food was absolutely awful. 3 out of the 4 people who ate here tonight are now unwell, with nausea, headaches and generally feeling very unwell. The chicken did not taste right that my grand daughter had. She left it and just had ice cream and fruit. My daughter said the prawns tasted off and as if they had been cooked many times over. Sadly, we will not be returning here again, and that was £85 wasted. We did tell one of the waitresses the food did not taste good and she just smiled and said ok, walked off and nothing happened. We would not recommend any dishes at this restaurant, and as it is the start of the bank holiday weekend I hope their standards improve or there will be other customers becoming unwell.

The Chinese call it "mixed rice." For £17 per person for dinner is exceptionally a good value for money. A huge variety of food with dessert options. The fried chicken is a banger.

At £9.50 per head for an all you can eat buffet lunch, it's pretty good value in this present climate.

The food here is good but it is crazy busy. They did gift mothers day gifts to the mums which was a lovely touch. I would probably go during the week. Sunday was extremely busy.

That has got to be the worst Chinese I have ever eaten,The chips were soggy,the spring rolls were tasteless and soggy and the egg fried rice I was looking for the egg in it

It was very unpalatable. Seeing that the D buffet was no longer appetizing, I chose to leave and ordered the boiled beef and spicy chicken. Top! It was extremely unpalatable! If you just want something to eat, there’s no harm in giving it a try!

Food was nothing like I expected

This is what happened on this order at end. ※Order arrived 2 hours late from original estimate. ※Driver went missing and didnt turn up to restaurant for hour. Which also means order status of "driver waiting at restaurant" is wrong. (as per as restaurant told me) ※Order finally turn up after 3 hours after ordered but as result food already got cold due to driver not shown for long time. As we don't have microwave onsite, cannot reheat makes trouble. Food quality is perfectly nice but just-eat service this time be super awful.

Price is great, but the food is just not worth it. Most of the stuff is overcooked - nearly burnt to be honest… The chicken and sweetcorn soup tastes like diabetes, someone mixed up the salt and the sugar. Overall feels a bit chaotic atmosphere and the food doesn’t even taste decent let alone good…..

Ohhh came back after a long absence- what has happened? No choice especially for vegetables. But choice aside - they never refilled and everything was gone and I had to ask several times to replenish… the duck….. is it duck?? It’s grey - there’s a rumour it’s pork - no signs saying what anything is!!! That’s really problematic- deserts all gone. Never again - gutted we didn’t go next door to wagamumas..

Come here with family for my mums birthday. Asked if ok my disabled nan could come in on scooter to be told no. Lucky a few us there to help her as floor was very slippery and her walking stick slipped. We get to our table to see few tables had there buggy’s there which was a lot bigger than my nans very small scooter. My nan felt hugly discriminated. I wouldn’t go here if you’re disabled as they only like parents with buggy’s.

booked at 8.30pm but when we arrived we were told they would close at 9pm, but on google the closing is at 10pm. very little food and nothing good

Decided to check this restaurant out because the ones either side of it were chains which can be tried elsewhere. Taking a look, I didn't have any expectations especially the dessert section because it LOOKS like dessert but it was random stuff put together like a chocolate coin sitting in some whipped cream. The aromatic duck was evidently chopped up and looking like floss and the ribs were very dry. The prawns looking like prawns were over cooked and rubbery. The sweetcorn soup tasted like syrup while the hot and sour soup was the opposite tasting like vinegar. The crab claws were the cheapest on the planet compared to other brands which actually have a crab smell but these were just white and soft in the middle with not taste. The only normal tasting thing were the fresh oranges. To summarize if Chopstix had a buffet restaurant, this would be the result.

Bland lukewarm food. Lacking the proper flavour in any of the labeled dishes. Meat was very chewy. Looks like new owners running it who are not Chinese. Now Un-Real China. Won't be going back.

Literally the worst buffet around. Very limited selection and cheap products. The duck looked like shredded pork . Expensive compared to local competition. Take the drive and go to the Blue Dragon in Letchworth and see how it's done.

The prawn crackers were a mm axing, highly recommended, and got alot for your money. I will defiantly be coming back for more.

I recently visited the Real China Buffet in Hatfield and was pleasantly surprised by my experience. I initially booked this Resturant for my Christmas party without looking at the reviews. So when I did finally read the reviews I was not sure I had made the right decision. Despite some mixed reviews on Google, I decided to give it a try and I'm glad I did. The food was not only fresh and delicious but also offered a great variety, satisfying everyone's cravings. The ambiance was enjoyable, staff were friendly and very helpful allowing us to have a good night out. Overall, we had a great time at Real China Buffet and would definitely recommend it to others looking for a tasty and fulfilling dining experience.

It’s always blissful when ever I come here

As you approach the kitchen, a pungent odor becomes noticeable. The cuisine is average, the ambiance is lacking, and the space feels crowded.

Lovely atmosphere customer service was very good. I enjoyed my all that you can eat very authentic I would go again and I would tell my friends and family too lovely place to go out to enjoy and eat

Came today on a Sunday. First time being here. I would say don’t waste your time it’s horrible. The only thing me and my family enjoyed was the dessert (ice cream and sweets) food was extremely oily (VERY OILY) no taste at all very bland. Wish I went else where

I went for the lunch buffet, for the price it is really good. There was many options of food including vegetarian options and even ice cream for dessert. It is your typical Chinese buffet, however, the food overall was quite underwhelming it could have done with more seasoning but overall was satisfying. The service was wonderful and the atmosphere was pleasing.

I HAD to leave a review so people don't experience what I did. We just got home after trying this buffet and we are already feeling ill. We looked at the food before deciding to have our lunch there and we thought it's OK, surely we can find some thing we like. We tried a bit of almost everything and it was DISGUSTING. Even the rice!!! My son can cook better rice! Everything tasted like it was reheated multiple times, the prawns are not cleaned before cooking, the duck is not duck, its pork! The beef is like rubber, the satay chicken was waaaay overcooked. I ended up having only the beansprouts, those seemed to be the only food that wouldn't give you food poisoning. I can't rate the desserts because I didn't even want to try them. This is not the real China!!! Absolutely awful experience.

Before we sat down we had to look at the food, and we thought it's looking OK and surely you can find something you like. It makes sense that they charge you at the entrance because nobody would pay a penny for this food. We tried a bit of everything and we left the plates full...it was disgusting, even the rice!!! Small wonder payment is taken on entry. Stone cold plates and Luke warm food do not make for a happy eater. Ribs tough as leather. Duck had fishy flavour. Satay chicken was dry and chewy Rice and noodles were nice. The only reason this gets a 2 not 1 is the lad clearing used plates from the table was so polite and happy. By far the worst buffet I and my partner have ever eaten in.

The previous management served good quality foods but it has gone downhill by far with the current management. It’s not worth the money you paid for it’s poor quality even if you compensate with the big quantity of food. As the buffet is poor quality for a start, that will be the same for the à la carte food too. My honest opinion, it’s sad and disappointing overall. Worst Chinese food buffet I’ve ever had.

I gave this a 'poor' rather than a terrible purely for the police service. The waitor was polite (no more than you would expect, and plate clearing was a little slow but friendly service none the less). The food, however, was disgusting. I've had some poor takeaways in the past, but never have I experienced such awful chinese food. It was greasy, bland, and sickly. The aromatic pork pancake was so bad I couldn't finish it. You could see the oil swimming on the base of the pancake from the pork, so biting into it was unpleasant. The sweet and sour chicken was soggy, the spring roles were way overdone, nothing tasted nice. Not one dish. I have never had such a disappointing experience with Chinese food and I'm not really one to leave a review but in this case, I really urge people not to go here, especially when you're paying weekend prices like I did!! They need to make some significant changes here. The chef needs replacing. Side notes: -The layout is chaotic - no one way system, plates in the middle of the buffet -The dessert buffet was an actual joke (fairy cakes you would serve at a playgroup fate and the cheapest ice cream you can get, hard mini marshmallows and dry jaffa cakes - what?!) -The drink refills are not branded. Everything just feels DIY/cheap. Personally I would at least like real coca-cola -I paid thirty quid for the worst eat-out experience I think I've ever had, should have gone to wagas or nandos next door. Don't make the same mistake.

Everything is perfect, after my friend suggested it here, I don't want to go to London or Chinatown any more. His restaurant has buffet and dine-in options. Many foreigners eat at the buffet, but I order a la carte because there is no additional service charge and the price is very affordable. The main thing here is the real Chinese taste. I hope more and more Chinese people will discover this treasure. (And the lady boss is very nice and pretty, haha)

Less variety compared to other buffet restaurants but price is also cheaper at £15.99 for a weekend buffet. The best part is the staff allowed you to have a quick walk around to see first before deciding. Although choice is limited, food is good quality, so overall great experience. All the staffs were lovely and well trained.

We went for dinner last Friday and it was great. Food was really good and there was a wide choice of dishes (slightly different to the list below so that's the reason I haven't ticked any of the boxes) The team are really friendly and work very hard. Will definately go again. Well recommended.

Seriously! 🙄 Even at the worst case of hunger, i dont want to go there and spend £50 for absolutely nothing! This is the third time we are going i think n every time we forget how disappointed we got the same tome last year coming here! We went today at 8:30 pm to celebrate GCSE result of my son. Went with my boys, we are vegetarians, they take the same money , paid £47 in total for 3 people- hardly anything for vegetarians! Cant find any egg in that super bland egg fried rice:( there isnt any protein food for vegetarians. The dessert section all the trays were taken fir washing as it was closing time n i had to ask them to provide us some dessert, they did, but.. 🙏🏻 They didnt mind taking the same price during closing time but cant provide the same varieties during closing tome. Watever they hv provided was soooo bland n full carbs. No protein option. Also they made it clear that they didnt give a damn thinking about vegetarians! If they hv thought with their heart, they could hv even put some boiled eggs in a bowl.anyways.. My suggestion would be, if you are very hungry, i would rather do with a tesco sandwich rather than coming here n wasting my hard earned £50.

It's not a lot of choice of dish in the place, a few years ago the food was much better. I will not go back.

We went because my son wanted to go, having gone before and liked it. He didn't think the quality of the food was great this time and he actually said he won't want to go back . I didn't think the food was great either - didn't think so first time and certainly less so this time round. It wasn't good value. Staff were very friendly though.
